IChat text is not showing up

I have used iChat without incidence for over a year. Recently, however, every time I open iChat an empty chat window appears. When I open a new chat, I type something, but my screen only shows the "..." in my bubble. I have confirmed that those I am writing to have received my text and have responded, but nothing is showing on my screen. I have restarted the program and my MacBook, but the same thing keeps happening.

Do you have Remember Chats Across Restarts in iChat > Preferences > Messages selected ?
Turn it Off if you have.
Does this get rid of the empty chat on Restarting iChat ?
I presume it was a Group chat that has no-one in it now.
Does it solve the other issue ?

Text Fields Not Showing in Design or Live View

Hello Everyone,
I have run into a problem trying to create a simple contact form through Dreamweaver CS6. I have two text fields for Name & Email, and 1 text area for Comments. The issue I am running into is that the text fields are not showing in Design or Live view. I have set-up all variables required for the server for the form to work... but that should not have any effect on the text field showing... I tried uploading my contact page with the same result of no text fields showing...
What is really laughable is that the "text area" I placed in my form for Comments shows up in Design & Live view just fine. I am thinking that I am missing something, but just do not know what exactly. The form is styled through CSS.

Are there other variables I should be thinking about in the rest of my site? I am using a fluid grid layout. I have CSS for desktop, tablet, and phone devices. I also have a primary CSS file that imports all three. The sites structure was done by using <header>, <article>, <footer>, and of course <div> tags.
Has anyone ever experienced the "text fields" not showing up before? Is it a simple fix as reinstalling Dreamweaver CS6? Finally, another thing I should mention is that I did have a previous version of Dreamweaver on my comp, which was CS3. I did not uninstall that before installing the newer version. I assumed (and I could be wrong here) that it would automatically replace the older version.
I apoligize for it being long winded, but I am looking for some help on this issue...

Ya I found what was blocking my text fields in my desktop.css
I primarily work through code view, and currently working on quite a few projects kind of makes your eyes miss the small errors.

Texts are not showing up after upgrading to version 11

Could someone help me with why some of my texts are not show up on my Flash project? Before the upgrade, everything is fine. However, after upgrading to version 11, my texts are disappearing.
Before (version 10.3.183.7...)
After (version 11.0.1.152...)
The texts in the boxes will disappear, when I hover mouse cursor over it. Those boxes with texts in them are created with an external AS file, and the texts are dynamicaly changed/put in with an external XML file. There is a mask on the boxes, show only 4 at a time.

You will see the changes with Flash player version 11, and everything working fine with older versions.
I use iMacs with Snow Leopard and Lion, and this happens on all of the browsers with Flash Player version 11.01.152. I also tested on Windows 7, and it is still happening. Is this a Flash Player bug or something changed that I am not aware of? Is there a work around for this?

Flash cs6 text is not showing up.

I just opened up flash cs6 and found out that the text tool isn't working right. It lets me select the tool and place a text box, but the text is not showing up. It is taking up space in the text box, but I cannot see it. The alpha is 100% already, I don't know what's going on.

As a workaround, if you don't want to be removing Microsoft Security updates until they have been fixed (this exact problem was introduced previously on MacOS and later rectified also) we have found that converting the fonts you have problems with into TTF via an application such as http://www.freefontconverter.com/ allows the fonts to function correctly.
There are better ways of converting large volumes of fonts if you require to do so, but if you're simply having an issue with one or two fonts that you need until MS fix their update, we've found this to be a suitable workaround.

Is this problem specific to one file, or does it happen with any file that you convert to PDF? How was the PDF created (using what application)?

Text Variable not showing headers in Formula

I have text variable in my report when I use in Formula its not working.Its a replacement path and if I used in normal col its showing header correctly.
Any ideas guru's

As I mentioned when I use in Formula to add up these text variables header is not showing.
EG: &ZP_FPTA& &ZP_FPTB& &ZP_IPVERS& this is in one col and there is another Variable like this I am adding up in Formula ,Addition is working but header is not showing correct
It shows as Tech name of variable only not picking up description from Variables..

Text field not showing record set options

I entered the following php code to a text field in a form:

I do have it showing in the sidebar showing as a repeating region. I commented it out and entered your code, but this time it shows nothing at all, not even an error!
The problem may have to do with "VIEWS" as I am working partly with Views on the external server. The server guys are having problems allowing Views. They did allow it for my account, but somehow this is not working. So I update my database leaving out the 3 tables created as views out of a total of 8. On the contrary on the local server the database is working fine, so that may not be the problem after all.
I had got it work a fortnight back, but lost it as I had to redo a few things with the forms it is in. On the sidebar it is working fine otherwise as a repeating region and showing all the dates of all itineraries. Only it's not working in the form, where it shows the preselected string (select your preferred travel date), but not the rest of the options.
About changing the email, one has to change the whole ID and profile etc. and then you can't log into your own account with the same user name, you have to have a different one, so that your own thread is no longer your own. What a pile of goons at the wheels! And what a disappointment with otherwise such a great bunch of forums.. I'll now have to contact the staff and would like them wipe out all my ID's and Profiles at Adobe and make a new one. It's such a rotten mess. This thing even ruined my ID at Adobe Browser Lab.
I suppose we'll leave it for Mr. Nobody to fix it, like so many other things especially around Christmas!

LibreOffice text menu not showing up

I've just switched from Fedora to Arch Linux. So far, installation and all went smoothly and it looks very good :-)
However, I'm experiencing a small problem with LibreOffice, as it's not showing any text menu entries:
I've installed both German and English language packs (libreoffice-de 3.4.5-2 and libreoffice-en-US 3.4.5-2) so
my guess would be that it's some kind of locale problem. Unfortunately, I haven't been able find anything on that
particular problem anywhere. I tried resetting the user directory in .libreoffice in my home directory, but the
problem remains. Any hint would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm around this issue too.
My daugther studies chinese and my son prefers english. Each has he(r|s) language, but the all menues are as shown here.
tt-dejavu and artwiz fonts are installed, I'm trying to add some more font, but I really doubt that will solve.
I've seen some forum blaming lib-cairo2 and some relation with gtk2 font setting, but I can't imaging where would be the right point.

I installed the missing fonts and all gone fine. For chinese would be fine some search. In my case I found ttf-arphic fonts

Document/Text Panel not showing

Here I go again, another problem. I now find that my one
panel that has the document, text, object size, etc. panel is not
showing, the other two do. Have no idea what happened. Tried to
hide and un-hide all panels to no avail. I read the other threads
about toolbars missing, but this is a panel and only 1 is now
missing. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this to reappear?

You may have simply closed it by hitting a key command. If
you are
referring to the Object Inspector it's default key command is
"cmd I" if
it is grouped with other inspectors the whole group will
appear/disappear with the key command. You can also turn them
on and off
through the Window > Inspectors menu.

Text suggestions not showing up/disappearing

I mainly use three languages (German, French, English) when typing messages in my Lumia 535. Where "text suggestions" show up in French and English all the time, in German, they do not show up/disappear after typing and sending two or three messages so that I have to bring them back by going to Settings/Keyboard/German/Suggest text. What could be the reason for this strange behavior?

Hi, lonza. Thanks for your response. Try checking if there is any update available for the phone's system apps. Go to Store > ... > settings > check for updates. If this did not help, try resetting your phone by going to Settings > about > reset your phone. Back up your files before doing it. Hope this one helps.

Ichat camera icon not showing

under one user name the camera icon/video does not show on other computers. It works fine under other users name. Settings are set to allow video.

Can I check ?
Do you mean this computer has Two Mac User Accounts and in one iChat does not Display Video Capabilities ?
Or do you mean that you have Two Screen Names and on does not seem to be able to Do Video ?
If one of these is a Jabber ID (including a GoogleTalk one) you will not be able to Video to PCs or to the Web Mail Chat page at Google or to Mac Users using another Jabber app.
This is dues to Protocol differences about how the chats are connected.
I presume by "Enabled" you mean both the Video Menu has Camera Enabled AND the View Menu has Show Video Status Enabled. Both should show Ticks and that can be done by selecting the line. Toggling the line turns the option On (ticked) or Off (unticked).
The View Menu show you icon to your Buddies as well as displaying the Green icons at your end. (As does the Camera Enabled if the View Menu is set)
The Video Menu item of Camera Enabled and the View Menu Show Video Status (and Audio's line) can be set individually against each Buddy list you have. (As can the Share Screen option).
If it is the first option I asked about we will need more details but is likely to do with the iChat Menu > Preferences > Video Section > Bandwidth Limit setting for that iChat/Buddy List.
It should not be below 200kbps for 1-1 chats or the 500kbps setting for 3 and 4 way Video Chats.

Rich Text Editor not showing up

Hi. I've installed OracleAS 10g Rel 2.
When I try to add text using IE6 the text area is just gray. I have tried to change different attributes in IE but its still gray. I dont know how to debug IE either, I normally use firefox.
Any ideas how I can debug IE, or what I should change on my IE to make the rich text editor show up.
(btw, the installation is on my laptop, using XP pro. Not supportet but generally works fine. I know ppl at Oracle have this working on XP so it should not be the issue).

i just tested this on my 10.1.2 installation using IE6 and it works fine. so it seems not to be any general issue.
2 things i would check:
- does a java scrip error occur on the page when you add/edit a text item. you see this in the left lower corner of the browser.
- check the log files on the application server mid-tier.
- but before starting debugging i would go to another pc and try to access your portal from there. this will show you if your client machine is the problem or if the portal installation is the problem.

Text messages not showing up under "View Messaging Details"

I have sent and received texts that I've deleted and need to find the phone numbers. Do all texts show up on the usage reports on My Verizon? It looks like some are missing...

The text message details are available for 90 days. This will not include any iMessages as those are send via data.

Paid bill but text messages not showing up

My phone got disconnected on Monday because I didn't pay my bill. I'm on the allset $45 a month pre-paid plan. I did some research and saw that if someone texts you, verizon keeps the messages for 5 days and if someone texts you after 5 days the texts are deleted. I text myself from my mom's phone as a test today before I paid my phone (and i sent texts to myself on previous days) I got disconnected monday and my phone was back in service today on friday. When I texted myself I got "insufficient funds to send message" I paid my phone today and I never received the text messages that I sent myself. Why aren't they showing up? Now im wondering if any of my contacts texted me while my phone was not in service.
