ICloud doesn't sync

Hello guys!
I bought a brand new iMac with OS X 10.8.4 recently and set up my iCloud with my Apple ID.
I use my Calendar, Mail, Notes, Reminders and Contacts frequently but have found that none of the info from my desktop apps can be found in my iCloud when I sign in online...
Just bought an iPad 2 and would love to have this working by them time it gets to me...
Any suggestions why I'm having this issue?
Thanks a lot!!
Anja

I have the same problem - Notes seems to be the only app that updates across all my hardware (iPhone, iPad, iCloud and two Macs). iWorks syncs fine, but Contacts and Reminders basically ignore each other. The only thing that would sync despite all my efforts were calendars I no longer wanted, and Reminders categories I also wanted to delete. I did have them working for a while by backing up the iPad and iPhone to iTunes then disconnecting the iphone/ipad from icloud (which you do in the settings menu); then deleting on my computer the stuff I don't want, and then re-installing the phone and ipad from the backups I'd made earlier. This worked for a while, but then the bugs all came back with a vengence.
Let me know if you come up a permanent solution.
Cheers.

How come my iPad with iCloud doesn't sync with my iPhone 4 that has same apple id and both ios5?

Not sure if you just have an issue with your setup or something else.
I had an issue where my numbers and pages documents were not syncing on my ipad, but were on my iphone.
I turned icloud off an on, reset the apps, even deleted them and reinstalled them.  I also checked all of the other icloud setting.
Only thing that worked (and it might be just a fluke)  I emailed from my iphone a numbers document to my ipad.  I opened then closed the document and the app.  When I opened it back up it started importing my icloud documents.
If it is a settings issue then you need to be sure you have icloud setup in your mail settings.  Has to be there and active.

  • So iCloud doesn't sync podcasts?

I'm learning the ropes of iCloud.  I subscribe to a few podcasts on my MacBook Pro (through iTunes), and they continue to download just fine, but it looks like they're not moving to my iPod Touch.  Is this normal?  Is there a way to get them there (without syncing with a cable)?
    Thanks!

I know it so I have a problem that in browser on icloud.com page and in iwork section when I put document to pages I see it in browser and on iPad in settings.app in icloud sector but I don't see them in Pages on iPad also when I create document on iPad in Pages the icon of document has an arrow on the right top corner but it doesn't appear in browser version of icloud.com in iwork sector.

  • #Windows_7: iCloud doesn't sync old photos

    Windows 7 SP1 HP 64-bit
I've taken photos and synced them with iCloud on my iPhones for a few years.
Before reinstalling my Windows, I've had part of them synced to my iCloud folder on PC. Since reinstalling Windows and settin up iCloud control panel for the second time, it has downloadedn only less than a year's worth of photos (out of a few years)
    Additionaly:
It hardly ever syncs new photos from iOS devices to computer thru iCloud (even after being connected to wi-fi for two weeks)
Doesn't upload most of photos from iOS device to photostream, even though chosen so in Settings & online
The question is: how do I gain access to all of my iCloud photos? They are no longer in my iDevices' photostreams (older than 30 days, not deleted from the photostream) and my PC won''t sync anything older than a couple months.

If they are still on your iOS device, either in the camera roll or the my photo stream album, add them to a shared stream and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).

  • Icloud doesn't sync calendars between devices

We have a number of Macs and idevices sharing the same Apple ID. Recently we noticed that when we create a calendar entry on one of the devices, it doesn't propagate to the others (including the computers) until it's physically synced to the Mac. Is this expected behavior? All computers/devices are running the latest software (10.8.2, 6.1.2). Thank you!

No, it's not normal.  On the device that is not syncing calendars with iCloud check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar.  Here be sure you have selected a calendar listed under you iCloud account as your default.  If you haven't, make this change, then enter a new event on the device and see if it syncs now.
If your settigs are correct and it still isn't syncing, make sure any events on the device that are not in iCloud are added to your iCloud calendar.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, when prompted choose Delete from My iPhone.  Then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On to sync your iCloud calendars back to the device.  Now enter a new event on the device and see if it syncs properly.

  • ICloud doesn't sync between mac and iPhone...

Hello all. I have an iphone 4 and I macbook pro which I have just upgraded the OS to OSX Mountain lion.
I have never really made use of icloud before, but intend to start using it as I intend to get an ipad soon.
I have gone into icloud on both my mac and iphone and ticked on everything for icloud. However, nothing seems to really sync. My notes don't go between devices. As far as I can tell neither do my photos.
The only large file on my icloud seems to be backups. However, the only thing in this folder seems to be the back up folder...which only seems to contain infinitiy blade data.
Any help as to where I'm going wrong?
    regards,
    Matt

I don't want to trust the iCloud, so I want to sync my PERSONAL Notes on my iPhone (4) just with my iMAC (via iTunes), and not saved in iCloud.
Yes iCloud is great for syncing/saving common data, but I want to choose what I sync and if I choose not to save in icloud than I want to have the possibility to save it elsewhere.
Now with Mountain Lion it is not possible anymore to sync between my iPhone and iMac
More and more companies are going to say/dictate "This and this is good for you!"
Please Apple, take your Customers serious and let themselve choose what good for them is!
    Thanks in advance!!
    P.S.,
if there Apple-Customers who have a solution for syncing Notes between MountainLion and iOS please reply! (Thanks)

  • HT204053 I have 2 different apple email accounts. My iPhone has a different one from iPad and iCloud doesn't sync pics .... Help please!

    Hi ,
I need help with my apple account.  I have used two different email addresses so my iPad won't sync with my iPhone on ICloud. How do I sync them?
    Thanks for help

In order to sync they need to be using the same apple id.
I am not sure I understand your question.  If you are using two different emails?  I assume you mean apple id.

There is no way to use iCloud Dav services (contacts and calendars) in Outlook 2011 as Outlook does not support Dav services.
Use a client that supports Dav if you want to use iCloud.

  • ICloud doesn't Sync, lost all contacts on iPhone

I have a PC, iPhone and iPad on which contacts, reminders and calendar are turned on in iCloud.
    Everything used to work fine.
I missed a meeting on Thursday because it did not snych into me iPhone.
I noticed contact changes were not synching.
I turned of Contact Synching on the iPhone, selected keep contact on iPhone.
All contacts were erased on the iPhone.
Turned synch back on and nothing downloads to the iPhone
I checked iCloud on the web and the contacts are there.
    Thoughts anyone?

Update:  Powered iPhone off, back on and the contacts reappeared.  Still not synching.

  • New iPad. I have 2 apple id's.iCloud doesn't sync one device with one id and ipad with another id.  How can I reconcile?

Just bought new iPad.  Previously had iPod with one id.  Bought an iPhone and used another id.  Then bought an iPad and used the old iTunes id, not the new iPhone id, which had much on it.  We want all the stuff on iPhone (user id 2) on iPad (user id 1).  How do we reconcile?

    No.
Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
All content is forever tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them.

  • How do I set up a calendar on my iphone that doesn't sync with iCloud?

I have an iPhone, iPad , iMac and Mac mini all connected to iCloud for syncing of iCal, Mail, Address Book etc.
I want to set up a calendar on my iPhone that doesn't sync to my other devices, so that I can set reminders that will only pop up on the iPhone.
Can anyone help with advice? Does iCal/iCloud handle this?

Have read the printer manual, it will contain instructions for connecting it to a network, and then to your Mac. You don't identify this printer so it's difficult to be more specific.
You can also go to the printer manufacturers website and seek assistance there.

  • IPad Calendar doesn't sync back to iCloud nor Mac

    Hello all,
I have a strange issue that, since a few days, the iPad-based, iCloud-linked calendar doesn't sync back to iCloud. Hence, for that reason, the calendar on the Mac isn't in sync, and this is, as you can guess, pretty annoying. iPad runs iPhone OS 6.1, and the Mac runs Snow Leopard. I manually configured the calendar portion of iCloud as indicated, and sync between iCal (Mac) and iCloud doesn't suffer any delay.
Additional information: when initially reinstalled, the iPad has two sets of calendars: one locally synced with the Mac, the other being iCloud, and there's overlap between the two, thanks to this pesky sync problem. I really appreciate the convenience of iCloud, but can't go without the safety of local sync. I may go days without manually syncing the iPad with iTunes but still, iCal is my lifeline, and any defect in keeping updated or worse, losing events will result in serious profesional consequences. It already happened in the days before iCloud.
iCloud-related information: my Apple ID is an email that has been dead for years. Since I used it heavily before the mailing privider ceased activities, I couldn't practically restart from scratch, so I am currently using this "fossil" login along with an updated Yahoo contact adress, and recently added an @me.com adress from iCloud. The latter is the adress is the one used to connect to iCloud's calendar from iCal, and works nicely.
However, the iPad, despite being configured with iCloud natively, doesn't update. I restarted it, but since the most up-to-date calendar is on the iPad and un-synced, so far I didn't try deleting and re-adding iCloud to the iPad as it would delete events added since.
What could cause the iPad to lose sync with iCloud, and how to solve that and prevent it from happening again?

David, nice to hear from you again, hope you are well.
This user tip might help you understand how accounts work with Address Book.
I believe you have duplicates because you have two sets of contacts. "iCloud" and "On My Mac". Once you have created all your contacts in the iCloud account, you should delete them from On My Mac.
You can move contacts simply by dragging and dropping from one account to the other, you don't need to export them all to the desktop (although doind so will serve as a good back up if all goes wrong). You should note that this copies them though rather than simply move them, so you'll need to delete the old set when you are done.
As for preserving groups from the On My Mac Account, you can't but you can simplify recreating them by copying contacts (drag and drop) from an on my mac group to an empty group in iCloud.
Not sure about the contacts that you are struggling to move.
Many aspects of iCloud are difficult to understand, have a mull through what I've said so far and come back if everything still doesn't fall into place.

My ipod touch is not syncing, itunes store won't load, and icloud doesn't work!!!!!

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod

I am trying to set up ICloud on my Ipad.  ICloud doesn't show up as an option in my settings.  Help!  I want to sync all of my content from my IMac to My Ipad

Try rebooting the device. It should be in Settings right under General. You may need to go to Settings<General<Reset<Reset All Settings (don't erase data) and setup as a new device. The iCloud login should appear during this step. Just keep setting it up, then go back to settings and see if the iCloud tab appears.
