ICloud not pushing apps between iPad and iPhone what am I doing wrong

I have a new iPad2 and a new iPhone4.  I put iOS5 on both of them.  My understanding of this was when you purchased an app on one device it would push to your other devices.  I did this and the apps do not push to my other device.  I use the same Apple ID for both if that matters.  I set up iCloud on both devices, turned everything "on" and created an @me account.  What am I doing wrong?  Thank you in advance for any help...feeling like an iDiot

I believe you are misunderstanding.  You don't sync apps between iPad and iPhone, and iCloud has nothing to do with any of this.  There is a setting in Settings -> Store where you can set each device to automatically download NEW apps, meaning that when you buy a new app on one device, the other automatically downloads it.  However, this is for new downloads only.
For your existing apps, you can simply connect each device to your computer and move the desired apps to it in iTunes.  Or you can go to the App Store and re-download those apps.

    I've been trying to fix this for a few hours now, and getting increasingly frustrated. My ipad and Iphone suddenly dont share iMessage information.
    Both devices use the same email. I can send an iMessage from my ipad. This pops up on my iPhone. Cool. The reverse doesnt work. Anything I send from my phone keeps to my phone only. Anything coming in goes to my phone if its sent from there or from my iPad if its sent from there. 
    More frustating is this used to work fine.
    This makes my ipad un-usable for work. Apple seems to make getting any support stageringly difficult. The Apple site actually told me there was no walk in service available in my area. Im in central London!

  • ICloud not synchronizing tabs between MacBook and iPhone

    Okay so first off, hello! And let me start by saying that I found a topic about this from September last year. This did, however, not help me at all. Anyway so, apparently my tabs is not synchronizing between my iPhone 5 and MacBook Pro anymore. The last time it synchronized was six days ago on the 20th, and I know that because there's a tab I can open on my computer that takes me to a topic that was written that exact day and has date and time stamp. I noticed, however, that a tab I opened this morning on my iPad HAS synchronized with my iPhone... So I really haven't got a single clue what is going on but I am getting extremely annoyed that it hasn't synchronized for a week now!
    And no, private browsing is NOT enabled on my phone OR my computer, so that's definitely not it. I've never had it enabled anyway, but yes I have checked just to be sure, and it's disabled. So I really don't know what is going on, and I'd really like to have this fixed. Again, a tab i opened on my iPad this morning has synchronized with my phone and not with my computer. So I'm guessing it's my computer there's something wrong with?
    If anyone could help, I'd be very happy!

    Make sure all your iOS devices and your Mac are signed into the same iCloud account, and that your iOS devices have Safari set to On in Settings>iCloud, and that your Mac has Safari checked in System Preferences>iCloud.  If your settings are correct and open tabs in Safari on your Mac are not listed in iCloud tabs on your iOS devices (and vice versa), go to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Safari, restart your Mac, wait a minute or so, then recheck Safari.  See if this resolves things.

    The notes I create on iphone aren't reconciling on my iPhone and vis versa (always created and backed up on iCloud).  They, at one time were successfully syncing but since I got my new iphone5 a few wks ago, I believe something isn't set up right in the settings.  Can someone tell me what their settings for notes looks like? 
    The really nice Apple guy at the store told me to check my Mail settings since technically notes are synced via a hotmail or email account and saved/reconciled on iCloud.  When inside notes on iPad, you can't tell which account you're on (iCloud or other).  I really only ever want to use iCloud moving fwd since I use both Apple devices for work and personal note taking.  I'd consider myself an above average computer user.  Thanks for your help!!

    There is no way to automate that, sorry. All you can do is manually set up each device the same way, but there is no way to automatically sync such changes between devices as you make them.

  • Pages not updating iCloud between iPad and IPhone

    Can somebody please help?
    My Pages app won't stream the current documents to my iPhone using iCloud .
    I've tried everything I could possibly do. I've deleted the Pages app off my iPhone and started again. It just won't update the current documents that reflect on my iPad.
    It just has the arrows pointing upwards on the top right hand corner of quite a few documents. This is suggesting that there is no Internet connection when there is. I've tried it over WiFi and on 2 separate Bluetooth pairings with 2 iPhones. Each time it is connected with the Internet but the arrows still suggest otherwise.
    I have turned every possible iCloud on in every area. Turned them off then on, reset my phone from scratch doing a clean install not using a previous back up. Still didn't work...  Then going back and resetting using a previous back up... Still didn't work :(
    I have a 6 month old Mac Mini, the latest iPhone  5 and one month old iPad 4 with the current software updates.....

    In order to use your Apple ID to create an iCloud account, the primary email address associated with the ID must first be verified.  To do this, Apple will send a verification email to your account and you must respond to the email by clicking the Verify Now link.  Make sure you are check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    I'm not sure why this is happening, but I think I'm seeing the same thing. Many times when I get an email on the iPad or iPhone with a picture attached, I don't see the picture but instead just a placeholder icon.
    I have found a work around though to at least see the picture. If I forward it and include the attachment, I see the picture in the outgoing email. I can even save the image from the sending email if I really don't want to send it. If i do send it to myself, chances are I will see the picture in the email when I receive it even though it's just a resend of the original.

    Check your settings:

    Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
