If so first make sure it is charge by plugging it into an electrical outlet using the cable and plug that came with it, for a minimum of 20 - 60 minutes, then try a reset:
Hold both the Home button and the Power button down for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
Let go promptly when it appears.
Wait 30 seconds or so for your iPad to restart.
No information or settings will be lost.

I have an iphone 5 and the new iPad Air 16GB wi-fi only that I will be using icloud to sync back and fourth to one another. First I was wondering when I go into settings, then icloud on my iphone 5, I see Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Safari, Notes, Passbook, Keychain, Photos, Documents and data, and find my iphone on the list. So the way I understand the whole syncing deal is you turn on whichever ones of those you want to be able to view on the iphone 5 and then you go to your ipad air and do the same thing turn on and off whatever you want to be able to view on their, and thats when your using the same apple id between both devices. My next question is that the only area that you can turn off or on what you want to be able to view on the devices? Is the the settings, icloud, is that the only place in setting you turn off and on what will sync and not sync?? So in other words the apps and games you really cant manually manage. For example if I have 5 games on my iphone 5 and only want 3 of those games to sync over to my ipad air and the other 2 not to sync over, is that possible? To me the only way to accomplish that would be to create a new apple ID account, but that would eliminate the option of being able to sync calendars, notes, reminders, etc and be able to view them on both devices which would kind of suck and defeat the purpose right? Please let me know if I am on the right page with all this and if their are any other things that I should know about in the settings menu to fully utilize the managing and syncing only this or that between the ipad air and iphone 5 using the same apple ID/icloud account information.

Are you sure that if I use my windows log in rather than my husbands, then open itunes it won't delete all his hundreds of songs and overwrite with mine?

So, my question is can I purchase more gb/storage or is there a external hard drive that can connect to ipad air.?

Use one of the cloud storage services. Either keep your media on there and copy to memory one or two at a time for off-line watching. Or watch via streaming when you can find web access.
Perhaps better is to download or rip DVD to PC, then keep the media on a separate storage drive. You can get 500 and 1000 GB external drives that connect to Ipad via their own built in wifi capability.
Or the cheaper option use a simple USB card reader (about 20$ from Amazon) and keep your media on a card. I use a 64gb SD card. Takes 30 movies in good quality resolution.

The iOS and built-in apps take up space. 12GB free space is normal for a new 16GB iPad. It's been like this for all computers, tablets, smartphones, etc for as long as they've been made.

How can I log out of iCloud on my iPad Air?

I recently updated my Apple ID. I was able to get that new ID to work with iTunes, on my iPhone 5, and with iCloud on my computer and on the web.
But my iPad Air is stuck on the old Apple ID and it will not let me change it.
I have synced the iPad Air with iTunes using the USB cable (even though the cable isn't necessary) and it syncs fine - but iTunes on my computer has the new Apple ID and the iPad Air still has the old one! (So technically, it shouldn't sync or it should copy the new ID info over onto the iPad Air, right?)
When I go to iCloud on the iPad under Settings and click on Account, it pops up with the old Apple ID, but it is greyed out. It will not accept the password. It will not allow me to log out. It will not allow me to change the Apple ID. Is it pulling this from some other area? iTunes on the iPad shows the correct Apple ID.
Can someone please tell me how I can fix this?

It won't let me. And I have now discovered that this is also an issue on my iPhone. I thought the phone was okay last night, but it's not. I now cannot get to anything on the phone.
I haven't had time yet to try your second suggestion, but I will try it. I don't use FaceTime, never have, so I don't know if that will work. I do know that nothing is working with iCloud.
Okay, I was able to at least get back to my main screen on my phone. I will try the second suggestion when I get to the office.

Make sure you have an app installed that can handle the file trying to be processed.
Acrobat forms cannot be processed by all apps that can open a PDF.

No scratches, scuffs, marks etc. 100 percent flawless. It comes with orginal box as well. Its a 16GB space grey WIFI only model. I does not have the orginal charger. I'd suggest Amazon as your shopping area. Even if you don't buy from them they have the best selection anywhere. You just need to look for an Air case, as you've learned, the slight differences in sizes in the devices means folks have to really pay attention or make sure the measurements match what they need.

It's hard to know. It will depend on the resolution of the video.
Here's some general usage info.
The average song takes about 4 MB of space, the average photo around 500k of space and the average movie around 1.5 GB of space. This means a 16 GB iPad could hold 10 feature-length movies, 4,000 songs or up to 32,000 photographs.
Just a guess, but probably 1-2GB in size. If your iPad is fully charged, the battery should be sufficient for a 2 hour recording.
You might experiment by making a short test video.

Mail native app cannot be opened on iPad Air, any fix?

Hello, need some help here.
All of the sudden when I press the Mail icon the app tries to open and then it crashes.
I have switch off and on the iPad Air, I have run a hard reset but still it is not fixed.
Any ideas?

Try force quitting the mail app
Double tap the home button
Scroll sideways if needed to see the preview screen for the mail app
Flick that preview screen up and off the screen
Single tap the home button or scroll sideways to the home screen preview and tap on it to exit the mode
See if your mail app will open now.

IPad Air 16GB capacity

I bought the new iPad Air 16 GB. But in iTunes it shows it at only 12.85 GB... This seems much lower than the typical 14 some GB of space. In face, it's almost 25% less than 16 GB.
I'm aware that the formatted size will be less than 16 GB, and that the iOS does take space, etc. But, from 16 GB all the way down to 12.85? That seems pretty crazy.
Does anyone else have a higher number? Why so low this time around? It seems older iPads had more useable space.

I wouldn't expect to do any serious work in AutoCAD on any tablet or other touch-based device. It's not going to be suffficiently precise or efficient for all but the simplest edits, and almost certainly nowhere near as efficient as on a Mac. You can try it and see for yourself, though.
