ICloud update for Windows won't install

I keep getting the Apple update dialog that states there is an update for the iCloud for Windows application. I've tried installing from there, downloading the update from Tools -> Download and even downloaded to whole setup file from iCloud.com. ALL of them fail with the error that there is a problem with the files and it immediately rolls back the changes.
This happens on my desktop with Windows 7 and my laptop with Windows 8.
Any suggestions?

Yes, I'm having this problem also and mistakenly uninstalled iCloud 3.1 thinking that this would resolve the problem....which it didn't. When trying to install iCloud for Windows I get the error:

I am using Windows 7 64 bit, Itunes 10.5 64 bit. My iPhone 4 and my iPad 1 both have iCould installed OK.
I also tried to "run" as administrator - same error.
Any thoughts?

Icloud for Windows won't install on my Windows 8 laptop

Install Interrupted keeps popping up.

I had a lengthy chat with the Apple Support Team. During this I uninstalled iTunes and it's following bits, uninstalled iCloud 3.1, reinstalled iTunes and attempted to install iCloud 4.0 - but again the installation was interrupted. This happened with or without Nortons 360 Smart Firewall and Auto Protect enabled. The technician wanted me to completely uninstall Nortons but I drew the line at that - nothing to suggest Nortons was at fault. Interestingly, after I shutdown and restarted my PC, iCloud 3.1 was still there and operating properly even though it was not showing in the Control Panel list of programs - go figure.
I also had a session with a technician at the Genius Bar at our local Apple Store. He searched Apple's knowledge base but came up empty. He thought it best to wait until Apple have gotten iCloud Drive established for the Mac and the bugs ironed out and then try again.

Updates for CS5 won't install

I have Dreamweaver CS5 and I'm on a Macbook with OS 10.6.6. The Adobe Application Manager alerts me that I have updates, I download them through the manager, they start to install, then every time I get an error message saying "some updates failed to install" and "another instance of deployment is already running". I don't have anything else running. Thought it was possibly a firewall issue at work but i get the same problem on my home network. Here is a screenshot of the error. Any ideas?

Copy paste the following command and hit 'return' key to execute the command. Enter the password when prompted and hit 'return' key. This will launch the updater in elevated mode and may allow you to run the updates as well.

My updates for iWork won't install via the Mac App Store

I have iWork or Pages [5.5.1 (2111)], Numbers [3.5 (2109)] , and Keynote [6.5 (2110)] and I am told that there are 'updates' in the Mac App Store, but every time I click on them the download fails. No reason is ever given. I had iWork '09 on disk and have been able to upgrade this far. I currently run OS X 10.10.1.

/Library/Application Support/

Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.169.2328.0) will not install.

I've been going around in circles for hours now trying to figure this out, but I now officially give up. I have no idea how to fix this. So I came here before I chuck my laptop across the room.
Whenever I try to install the definition update, it fails and says "error found. Code 80070002 windows update encountered an unknown error". I've tried to fix it using the
Windows Update troubleshooter, but it can't fix it. Also, tried to follow some manual fixes, but none of what they say to do exists on my computer (like files and such). Help!
I have a Sony Vaio, Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium edition.
I also installed the System Update Readiness Tool as a last ditch effort to see if it would fix it. It didn't.

In Windows 7, Windows defender only removes spyware, but to protect yourself from viruses, you still need to download antivirus software, such as Avast Antivirus.

To install the update for Windows Defender, i recommand you to fully exit Avast and manually install the update.

Install Update for Windows 8.1 but the new features do not appear

I installed "Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based systems (KB2939087)" but the new features of this update does not appear. It is like I never made the update. The Windows Update History shows that this update succeeded.
Did anybody have this problem?
How to resolve this problem?
Do I need to uninstall and install this update again?

could not be installed!
System Update Readiness tried, but no use!
PC Tools Security Product disabled, but no use!
cmd.exe tried, but no use!
Microsoft Support through phone, but no use!
So, what to do now?

delete this subkey
