Idoc lost from SAP R/3 to XI

Hi experts,
I have the following problem:
sometimes an idoc fired from SAP (not through WE19) does not reach XI (I cannot see it in SXI_MONITOR). I've checked the following facts:
1. SAP R/3 status of the idoc is 03 (direction outbound).
2. SM58 produces no result.
3. IDX5 produces no result for that idoc.
4. 99,9% idocs of the same type fired in the same day work fine.
Resending manually the same Idoc using WE19 gives no problem and the idoc reaches XI.
any idea?
Thanks a lot,
Daniele

You must see this in WE05 or BD87. Just release the idoc and have a look at we05 or bd87 and limit down the time where to search. in sm58 you can only see the idoc ith the system can not log on to the remote system. Did you check sm58 in the target system? did you check bd87 in the target system?

Hi,
Please go through the below link :

• How to trigger IDOC'S from SAP

Hi All,
How to trigger IDOC's from SAP(ECC 6)..where can we check this in mii 11.5 weather it is fail/success
Thanks,
Abhi

You can trigger LOIPRO, LOIPLO and a few others manually from POIT (SAP Txn).  Master Data related to orders can be triggered from POIM.  Depending on which IDocs you which to generate, there are other transactions to trigger different IDocs.
You can also use Triggers from MII to generate IDocs in SAP using CLOI_DOWNLOAD_TRIGGER_MDAT (POIM equivalent) and CLOI_DOWNLOAD_TRIGGER_TRANS (POIT equivalent).
There is also a rather nice post which detailed the process of using change pointers to automate the IDoc generation and download, but I am having trouble finding it.  Will continue to look and will post link when I find it.
Regards,
Mike

• Problem in message mapping (outbound IDOC ORDERS05 from SAP R/3)

Hi to all,
I have an outbound interface from sap r3
sap r3 --> XI --> ftp server
idoc --> XI --> text file
Using IDOC orders05
The problem is in segment E1EDP01/E1EDP19
Segment E1EDP01 is unbounded and i map it well. If it contains E1EDP19, works fine. But in some cases, E1EDP19 not appears at E1EDP01segments. So then XI fails at mapping:
IDOC OUTPUT (OK)
1-E1EDP01/E1EDP19
2-E1EDP01
3-E1EDP01/E1EDP19
4-E1EDP01
XI WRITES (FAILURE)
1-E1EDP01/E1EDP19
2-E1EDP01/E1EDP19 (INFORMATION FROM LINE 3)
3-E1EDP01 (WRONG)
4-E1EDP01 (WRONG)
You can take a look of Mapping mode here:
<a href="http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=orders05mappingcj8.jpg"></a>
We don't use BPM and wanna use a solution without it.
Pls ask me for more information if necessary.
Thanks a lot for your help; Regards

Hi all,
The mapping function includes an exists and a mapwithdefault.
Now the creation of the segment is handled ok, but not as well its fields. Its unable to determine the write of the second E1EDP19 segment and it does:
1- OK
2- OK
3- Writes E1EDP20 but not the 19
4- OK
Thanks for your interesting

• Idoc Scenario from SAP to SAP  via PI 7.1o

Q: Two idocs will process from SAP to SAP via SAP-PI 7.1o and generated together.
Requirement :
Sync
2 IDOCs – as we explained our design will require two IDOCs. The first IDOC will be developed by a Z code and the second IDOC is generated by 100% Standard SAP BAPIs and 2 IDOCs  send them to PI. Both IDOCs will be generated together by  process code in sap and must be moved to PI and later to the receiver client together(SAP). The process can only be 100% completed when both IDOCs will be processed with success in the receiver side. Any one of the IDOC among 2 idoc's failed all the process should stop.
i think that is not possible , PI will not be able to stop successfull IDOC If another IDOC get fails .
Please give me approaches if any chance .
Thanks, Sanakr

• Error when importing IDOC structure from SAP - Control record missing

Hi!
We are hitting problems when importing IDOCs from SAP into the Integration Builder. The import ends successfully but when we drill into the IDOC structure we get a message: <b>Schema for type EDI_DC40.ASN_OUT.DELVRY01.Z1DELVRY (category Data Type) not found</b>. • IDoc Acknowledgement from SAP PI to SAP R/3 Server

Hi Experts,
I am sending an IDOC from sap r/3 to SAP PI. After receiving the IDoc I need to send back one acknowledgement to the sap r/3 server, without reaching the target side. Could you guys please help me?
Thanks
Dipankar

it can send back an acknowledgement IDoc (ALEAUDIT) back to R/3 system
This configuration works for sending ACK message back to the Source system from the Target System and should not be mistaken to enable PI to generate the ACK and send back to the Source system.
What can be done is include the source system as receiver in the receiver determination (SAP system is both at the source and target....alongwith the existing FILE target service)......configure different ID objects for this Source > PI> Source ACK flow .... map required data in the mapping.....depending on your need you can use the target structure IDOC/ PROXY/ RFC.

Abhishek.

• ABAP program / Idocs - MDX from SAP

Hello friends,
There are two systems:
One is SAP system other one is CRM system (non SAP). When someone enters data in CRM system to create orders, it reaches SAP system through IDocs and order number generates. All the SAP master data is maintained in kind of data base table in the external CRM system. So the orders get create in SAP without any errors. So far the data comes only from SAP to CRM. Now I would like to transfer the changes made in SAP master data (changes in customer/material/condition records) to be transferred to CRM system.
Can it be done through ABAP program or through IDocs? Which way is the accurate? Can you please give detail information how can this be done?
Thank you & Br,
Sats.

Hi Erik,
I am stuck up with a similar requirement, wherein I have an ABAP program in my process chain and I need the technical name of the process chain in the ABAP program at run-time.
Did you get a solution or work-around for this scenario?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Chetana.

• Download IDOC structure from SAP web Site

HI
to anticipate the SAP ERp upgrade, i would like to download the most up to date Idoc structure (for ADRMAS and DEBMAS) . Instead of download this structure from an SAP Instance , i would like to download it from SAP Web site.
Does anybody already do that ?
How can i proceed
regards
fred

Hi Siva
Thanks for your input. I Know and i did that from a couple of years , neverthelss, each time you upgarde your system, you have to rewrite your development. My goal is to try to anticipate that by for exemple download the IDOC structure in advance . Let me say IDOC structure used by MySAP ERp 2007 instaed of SAP ERP 4.6. If i can download those STructure i will not be obliged to rewrite my Dev after each upgrade. Do you see what i mean ?

• XI Outbound IDoc different from SAP R/3 Inbound Idoc

Hi,
I am having a problem in processing an IDoc from XI to SAP.
We have created a custom IDoc, which will be populated in XI and then sent through to SAP R/3, which will then process the information in the IDoc.
I have imported the IDoc into XI and have been able to do the mappings and populate the IDoc from the XI side of things.  If I check the IDoc adapter, the populated IDoc leaves XI with the correct information and with multiple segments.
If I now go and check the IDoc that has arrived in SAP R/3, it only contains the first segment.  The other segments that were populated in the IDoc that left XI are now not there.  Also some of the information that was in the IDoc leaving XI is different to the information in the IDoc that has arrived in XI.
I do not experience the same problem when I populate a standard SAP IDoc.
Has anyone experienced this problem with a custom IDoc before?

• Recieving IDOC's from SAP

Hi Forum,
In a scenario where SAP sends IDOC's to xMII, what should be the best landscape ?
Do we need to have both xMII and SAP ECC installed on same machine ?
I configured a  RFC destination in SAP and i don't see any place where one can mention about the DESTINATION xMII server's address. IDOC's are directed to xMII which is installed on the same machine as SAP server.
Mike.

Hi.
We are just in the middle of doing something similar. Have you been through these docs ??
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/201769e0-3174-2910-e287-baa58d198246

Our landscape is to send IDocs from a central SAP server to a local xMII server at the production site.
Hopefully of some help.
