Export the slideshow out of iMovie via the File ➙ Share ➙ File menu option as a 480p Quicktime movie.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

Im trying to create a magic iDVD and I have some difficulty navigating my options. Some of my video's that I'd like to add are very short clips and I'd like view them back to back without having to go back to the main menu everytime after every short video clip. For example: a 1:08 minute video of my daughter's birthday and then a 3 minute video of her bithday...how do I make it so the 1:08 minute video automatically transitions to the 3 minute video without me having to go back to the main menu to manually select the next video?

cituleYou can't. But (there's always a but) if you have enough room (i.e. playing time) available in the project you can create a slideshow in iDVD
and add all of the videos to it.
If you do that set the Slide Duration time to anything except Manual or Set to Music. Also do not select an transition.
When you click on the Create Project button in Magic Movie you'll be able to use the "+" button to add the slideshow to the top menu.

Why does my iDVD project skip the main menu screen when starting?
I just finished a movie in iMovie 09, chose iDVD from the iMovie menu, chose a theme, etc., all was fine, burned the DVD and it works great except it starts the movie instantly rather than showing the opening screen with the main menu.
When you export to iDVD from iMovie 09, iMovie usually creates an iDVD project in which your movie plays automatically before the main menu is shown. As SDUser has said, you can get rid of that behaviour by going into the DVD map and dragging out the very first item.
A hint: if you have chapter markers in your movie, and you are using a theme that has motion menus, open up the Inspector (the little i button bottom left in iDVD) and while you are in the Map view click on each menu. Take a look at the length of the menu loop. There is a bug in iDVD that often causes it to make ridiculously long menu loops (in one case 3 hours, even though the menu music clip was 30 seconds and the whole movie was under an hour). That will cause iDVD to take forever rendering your project, and will waste a lot of DVD space that you are need for your main movie. Just drag the slider back to a sensible menu loop length. But go back and check before you burn; as soon as you edit anything else in the menu (for example change the music background) the loop length will have to be fixed again. -
When I listen to music on my iPhone and pause it, if I come back to it later, the playlist has started over. I have a 4S running on iOS 7.0.4. Is there any way to keep this from happening so that my playlist will start off where I last was?

I had all my iTunes music backed up onto a hard drive; but the hard drive was stolen along with all the files I backed up onto it. However, the songs I had in iTunes still show up (I just can't play them.) If I were to use iCloud, would it still take those songs and let me listen to them (and maybe re-download them?) Or am I out of luck?
Open iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, and then go to Purchased on the right hand side under Music Quick Links.
You can re-download all the songs, apps, or books you have previously purchased.
I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but just in case, make sure you download the latest version of iTunes (v10.3) too. -
My ipod warranty ran out a few months ago I have a nano 5th gen. The problem is that if I want to play a song it would show the album artwork for about 3 seconds and go back to the main menu with no music playing. It'snot the head phones or ear jack. Please I Need Help

I have an old iPod that has a different Apple ID than my iPhone. How can I put all the music on my iPod and get it off my phone? I'm not sure how to mix the music from two different apple id's.

Right now my ipod classic is set on 'music'. When I push the munu button, it will not go back to the main menus, but it will still go forward and select and play music normally. I tried resetting it by holding the menu and center buttons until the apple logo appeared, but the problem is still there.
If your battery level is low, recharge it first for at least 2 hours, preferably 4 hours.
After the Apple Logo, you release the buttons, what do you see on the iPod screen? (language selection?)

I purchased a song to download from Walmart.com and received the error message when I tried to download the song; "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (wmms) isn't associated with any program." I've never had a problem before. I paid for this download & I can't even access it.
Does the Walmart site offer a plugin or program (Walmart MP3 Music Downloads) to handle that protocol?<br />

I would like to learn how to make backup copies of my copyrighted DVDs and backup copies of my copyrighted VHSs.
Is there a DVD/VHS combo that can do that or do I have to buy two separate devices?
Is there a device that will allow me to make DVDs out of my copyrighted VHSs and vice versa?

While copyrighted videos (DVD and VHS) may not legally be copied, Apple (and other software publishers) permit making a backup copy of your software as per the Apple Software License Agreement
You may make one copy of the Apple Software (excluding the Boot ROM code) in machine-readable form for backup purposes only; provided that the backup copy must include all copyright or other proprietary notices contained on the original.

I just downloaded a bunch of music for a friend to my itunes and now want it off my mac. It's in "recently added". I've tried to hightlight it and hit delete and I've tried dragging it to trash, but they just bounce back. How do I get rid of it?
To delete from the Recently Added playlist and also from your library, select the items in the Recently added playlist and press Option Delete on your keyboard.
Select Move to trash.
Option Delete will remove an item from the library, even if it's in a smart playlist, thus removing it from any playlist. -

attempted to transfer itunes music from pc to new imac. didn't work. apple suggest using sharing method. main library of music is on pc. did those steps and shared library shows up on mac but when you click on the song to play it doesn't play or maybe ther is no content? any suggestions?
