IE is not showing on windows server 2008 after updates

Hi,
I have installed Window server 2008 R2.
After installing i found IE 8 on the server, but after 1day it automatically updated some softwares and now IE is not showing on my system.
i.e IE uninstalled after the updates to the windows server.
Please can some one help me to get the IE. I tried installing IE8, IE9 after downloading but it is showing "Internet Explorer 8 is not supported on this operating system"

I am trying to consume an ASMX Web Service in a console app, its working fine in Windows 7,Windows Server 2012 Standard,Windows Server 2008 R2 DataCenter,Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, But its not working in Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition which

I tried consuming the ASMX web service using Web Reference and Service Reference as well but its not helping. Its throwing up the following error,

The scenario is that i call the web service and it returns me an XML i am not able to receive the XML on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition.

Whether the hard disk is recognized in BIOS?
Connect it to another computer to see if it could be recognzied incase the cause is the disk itself. Also please check if it is really a RAID instead of a single hard disk - a single disk should be recognized directly while RAID cannot be recognized until
a suitable driver is installed.

Addon not working on Windows Server 2008 OS

Dear Friends,
I have developed an addon in XP and its working fine with XP operating system but it is not working on Windows Server 2008 Standard. Error is "An Attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)".

Hi,
Since only Windows 2008 SBS is supported with SAP Business One and that Server is available for 64bit Hardware as defined by Microsoft, I guess you should look into that direction.

I notice the following sentence in the link below “Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Group Chat will not function in a Windows Server 2008 R2 forest or when Group Chat member servers are joined to a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain.
We know of an issue with changes in Windows 2008 R2 that requires a Group Chat Client and Group Chat Admin Tools hotfix. The Group Chat Client and Group Chat Admin Tools hotfixes are currently scheduled for mid-April 2010.”

So in my opinion, if you update to the latest version of Windows Server 2008 R2, OCS Server 2007 R2 and Group Chat Client, Group Chat Admin Tools to the latest version, it should work.
However, the best method for you is make a lab to test the problem firstly.

I have purchased a 3 in 1 hp deskjet 2545 printer. I am trying to configure in on my home laptop (HCL) operating system: windows server 2008 R2, but unable to configure it. customer support executive told me hp deskjet 2545 printer driver is not compatible on windows server 2008 R2. but I have checked in my office and it is working fine on my office 2008 server. Text frame not shown on windows server 2008

I am facing the issue that on windows server 2008 the frame of a text fields are not shown. On windows 7 there is no issue. As example I have attached two screenshots showing that on windows 7 the frames for precision and scale are shown, but on 2008 not (additional info: the text field is there and can be edited).
Do you know such an issue? Any suggestion how to solve it?

Hi,
When you click the Plus sign next to a master page to create another master page, it doesn't inherit the objects from the master page. It simply creates a blank master page. If you want the new master page to inherit the objects, then right click the desired master page and select "Duplicate page".
As far as child pages are concerned, yes, they should inherit all the objects and properties of the master page. It is really odd if its not happening for you. What happens when you right click the child page and apply desired master for that menu?

CA web enrollment page is not shown in windows server 2008 R2 Datacenter edition

hi friends
on a windows server 2008 R2 Datacenter, i have installed ADCS (including web enrollment), & every thing is ok.
but when i connect to CA web enrollment page to request a certificate for my web server, when i select advanced certificate request, system doesn't show the page which we select which register our name & specification & we select which certificate
template do we want. instead it shows the page
in windows 2008 R2 enterprise edition this problem doesn't exist. also in standalone CA web enrollment page this problem doesn't exist.

Did you got the error in between when DBCA executed some percentage of work? PLease check its logfiles to get the exact error.

When I build directly on the VS2010, report viewers shows very well.
But when I build up host Windows Server 2008 - IIS 7, then just get a blank aspx page and there are no error messages

What CR runtime did you deploy?
Are you working under default or custom web site?
BTW., the image link shows a pretty good report. Can you post an image of the blank aspx page?

Integration Framework content doesn't show in Windows Server 2008 R2

I have a new install of B1 8.81 PL06 on Windows Server 2008 R2. All seemed to install fine but when I log into B1 I get the error:
Error HTTP 500 - Internal Error
I logged into the Integration Framework to check the SLD and all I see is the menu. I click on a menu item and nothing happens. Does anyone know if there is a Windows Server setting or IE9 setting that is preventing me from seeing the Integration Framework content?

I would like to know that i am having windows server 2008 R2 server's including the VMs also.
I don't know when to update these server's as these all are in the domain.

Might be there will be an option to stop automatic reboot after installing the updates. so on internet i found some info which might be helpful for you...
Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Windows Update->No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Update installation
You can get to this by running "gpedit.msc"
Reboot to apply changes
The best solution that I am aware of is to turn off automatic updates. Then you schedule maintenance windows with your customers and apply the updates manually and do the reboot then make sure everything that you need is running after the reboot.
Just stopping the reboots is a bad idea because that gives the impression that you are fully updated when you really aren't since updates that need reboots to complete...well...you know...need reboots to complete.

Hey there, i got the same Problem with my MacBook Pro (Mavericks 10.9.4) and two iPhone´s 5 with the iPad 2 and the iPad Air, (all with iOS 7.1.2) since 2months. SOLUTION???
Since the change of Snow Leopard on Mavericks, the entire system of the MacBook is much slower. This is already noticeable at the beginning (start the MacBook Pro). It runs through the entire software. z.Bsp. Open Safari / Outlook, iTunes and more. for about 2months absolutely no back-up of my devices is possible!!
Every time when you connect the hardware (iPhone 5 / iPad 2 / iPad Air) iTunes stops responding and needs to close above EXIT NOW!! No back-up's my hardware (see above) possible!!!
but iPhoto is running with the devices and at least I can transfer the images.

Things I have tried:
1. I tried to backup manually to external HDD using wsb snap-in, but it has failed in the same way.
2. Stop and re-add protection.
3. I have researched the error, some results suggest that some bad sectors might exist, however, when I run the command, it forces me to schedule the command on next boot. when I reboot, it loads windows after that gives a message "Cannot open the volume
for direct access"
How to end this loop? please help. Thanks for considering my question ...

Please try clean boot then test how the issue goes. Following are the detailed steps about clean boot:
Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER to start the System Configuration Utility.
On the General tab, click Selective Startup, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)
On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
Click OK, Choose Don’t show this message again and then click Restart.
Please check if RDP session issue is still the same.
