If download of Nokia Maps doesn't work...

...then you can try the following.
When I tried to download Nokia Maps from "nokia.mobi/maps" via "Web" with my E61i, once I clicked on "Accept Terms Service", the browser always took me back to the starting page with the red text "You must select your phone model". I tried this several times and it failed every time.
Solution: use the "Services" icon instead (which is the phone's WAP browser), and then the download should work.
Pretty weak of you Nokia to fail at this point...

  • Nokia Maps doesn't work anymore

    Good morning.
    Since the last update of maps for Nokia Maps, if I want to use my Nokia 500 as a GPS, I get the message: Car navigation can't start at this location (Autonavigatie kan niet op deze locatie beginnen.) I reinstalled the maps I needed. I even reinstalled the Phone firmware. Software version: 111.021.0028.
    Are there others who have the same problem? Is this failure known, or am I the only one, and what would be the solution? The phone is still in it's warranty period.
    Thanks.

  • Nokia store doesn't working

    what can i do nokia store doesn't working ?? I want to download more applications

    You cannot roll back. Only a Nokia care point can do that for you. If you have tried the hard reset and format of the memorycard with no luck - I would take it to a Nokia care point anyway to get it sorted.

  • Updated to IOS6, maps doesn't work

    So I updates my software to ios6, was really looking forward to it as iv waited months like so may others and its terrible.
    My maps doesn't work at all, the location is completely wrong and when I switch to hybrid or satellite view it just goes into black grids and doesn't come on, when I do get a picture in an area miles away from me it's black and white, I understand it only came out today and there will be glitches but the new maps is one of the main things in the update so I expected that to be up to scratch, also my keypad is forever freezing since iv updated.
    In all honesty I'm actually really disappointed in the update and if I'd have know I'd have stuck with ios5, the colour scheme was a lot better in the old version to, just wondering if anyone else has came across the map problem?

    im having the same trouble funny how they never mentioned this before we updated i wasnt expecting the 3d flyover view to work on iphone 4 because of the lack of appropiate processing power but i wasnt expecting to lose the hybrid or satellite view all im left with is the basic mapping view
    cmon apple fix it or at least let us have google maps back as an option

  • Error mapping doesn't work for me. Plz Help!

    I have created a .war using deploytool and added "404, /WEB-INF/NoSuchPage.html" in the error mapping area in file refs on the right tabbed panes.
    When I deploy the war and test it, the error mapping doesn't work. The server still display the default 404 page to me.
    What is the problem?
    I do have checked the descriptor. It contains:
    <error-page>
    <error-code>404</error-code>
    <location>/WEB-INF/NoSuchPage.html</location>
    </error-page>
    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    This is a very simple war with no component and an error page is defined. But this doesn't work. When I type something like /loginnnn.htmllll, it doesn't give me the error page. That is my problem. Any idea???

  • Link to download the Nokia Map 2.0?

    Hi!
      Previously in Nokia website, I can easily find the link to download the Nokia Map v2.0 (the sis file for various phone models). The link was www.nokia.com/maps.
      Now Nokia has launched the Ovi Map 3.0. With the same link above, now it only leads me to download the Ovi Map 3.0. However, my phone is old model like N73 and E61, etc. It does not support Ovi Map 3.0. In this case, I would like to ask anyone know the link to downlaod the old Nokia Map 2.0 or Nokia Map 1.3 sis files?
    Thanks a lot

  • Blackberry Maps doesn't work at all

    HI, Blackberry Maps doesn't work. It doesn't Find my location. trying to get BB Maps to work on my Q10-nothing seems to work. On the BB Maps, when I enter the 2 locations for directions, I get the following message: "The beginning of your route is too far away from a road. Proceed to nearest road and try again. (3003)." The first time I got this I was ON a road, pulled over, trying to get directions. It has never worked. I do get the blue dot telling me where I am, so I think the GPS function is working. Someone could help me?

    Hello,
    Something sounds quite wrong...if you have already done the obvious things (reboot, updated OS, updated app, etc.), then I'd recommend you seek formal support. That is available by contacting your mobile service provider, your original place of purchase, or an authorized service center -- it varies by region and issue. Since it's a BB-developed app, you need this formal support, and only they have the power to escalate your case up to BlackBerry for their attention.
    Good luck!

  • Direct download of Nokia Maps data

    Hi,
    I am using Nokia 5235, and Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2.0.241, and when I am trying to update the map, it's making troubles, it erases my phone data but not completely download and updates with new map data, the application is being reset during download.
    So, is there any way to download the map data directly, and place in my mobile?

    There isn't an option to download chunks for map data for example for a whole country directly to the phone. You can allow your phone to download map data on the fly. To do this, you need to set Maps to Online and map data for the surrounding area will be downloaded as you drive along. You could scroll around the map to increase the area downloaded but it will be very tedious if you wanted to download the map data for a whole country.
    The current map download issue is related to the latest version of Ovi Suite. I personally got around this issue by downloading and installing the previous version of Ovi Suite which is V2.1.1.1. That worked fine for me earlier this week.

  • IPhone 2.0 - Maps doesn't work and Contacts is sluggish

    Updated to 2.0 and installed the new MobileMe Update.
    Maps doesn't show my position accurately. It shows I am 6 miles to the North East from my actual position and also can't find any locations when entered into Search or when an address is selected via the field in Contacts.
    Also, since going over to Push Mail, Calendars and Contacts (I deleted my itools account and then logged into the MobileMe account), whenever I open up Contacts, it won't do anything for 10 seconds and then starts working normally.
    Small note: I don't seem to be getting the E in the top left hand corner anymore. I get a square with a dot in it. What does this mean?
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Cheers

    The 2.0 map now claims I'm 6-7 miles SW of where I really am. I'm glad I'm not alone with the map bug, but I don't have the other problems you are describing.

  • Abap multi-mapping doesn't work

    Hi,
    We have a 7.1 PI system and we are trying to set up a multi-mapping. This should process one IDOC into multiple XML-files.
    If we do this with a message mapping everything works fine. If we do this with an abap mapping it doesn't work. We receive the following error message:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Message canceled -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="MAPPING">MISSING_INTERFACE</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1>2</SAP:P1>
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:Stack>No interface specified for parameter 2</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    I can make it work by changing a value in debugging. In class CL_MERGE_SPLIT_SERVICE, method ENTER_SPLIT_SERVICE, there is a read on table split_data:
              set interface
                READ TABLE split_data
                  WITH KEY
                    param_type = c_param_type_inbound
                    param_numb = <payload_line>-numb
                  ASSIGNING
                    <split_line>.
    Now if I change the <payload_line>-numb to 1 each time the table is read, everything works fine.
    What am I doing wrong here? Or is this a bug?
    Thanks,
    Wim

  • Nokia Messaging doesn't work with vanity domains

    Nokia Messaging's "simplified" setup means I can't get it to work with my vanity domain. I can't get it to ask me what server it should use, it just complains that it can't connect - which isn't very surprising when it doesn't give me any opportunity to tell it which server to use.
    I have emails from my domian forwarded to my Gmail account. The Gmail account itself works fine with Nokia Messaging, because the automatic setup works. The problem is that I want the reply address to be [email protected], not [email protected] Entering [email protected] as the address means Nokia Messaging insists on trying for some non-existent mail server for mydomain.com and doesn't give me the opportunity to enter the details for Gmail.
    Does anybody know of a way to enter the details manually?
    Assuming it's not possible to enter the details directly, not only is this a major problem for people who forward mail from their vanity domians, but it's potentially a serious security problem too. In its attempts to find the right server, Nokia Messaging must be connecting to some mail server somewhere and trying to log in with my username and password. Who knows what server it decided to try? Who knows who now has my login information? It's bad enough that Nokia store your login credentials, but it's just plain dangerous that they think it's OK to send them to random servers on the internet as they try to find the right one.
    Why isn't there an "advanced" option so I can just set it up myself? Why, even after it has failed to connect, can't I just enter the required details myself?
    Seriously Nokia, it doesn't take a genius to work out that if you never ask for the right server to connect to, your service is not going to work for anything but the most straightforward cases. You can't guess it right every time and when you try and guess you leak people's login credentialsto who-knows-who.

    "Reply-to" address should be a feature of Nokia Messaging. I too have my work email forwarded to gmail to be able to use it with Nokia Messaging.
    I have requested this feature since the app was on beta. and i'm doing it now again.
    Maybe if we all request it they will take it seriously, but here is the wrong place to do it.
    All feedback about Nokia Messaging should be written to:  [email protected]
    Last time I wrote to that email they replied asking for more details about what i was requesting. I'm not sure if they will do it or not, but at least their questions made me feel they would.
    Thank you for clicking on the Green button with the white Star for Kudos!!

  • I cannot delete a new "game" app that won't finish downloading, the normal way doesn't work because there is no X to delete it.

    I have downloaded a slot machine app that has been "downloading" for days now.  The normal delete method doesn't work because it does not have the X in the corner.  Also I'm not able to download new apps because it just gives the waiting message.  I can't highlight it so I can't double click on the main menu button to troubleshoot it across the bottom of the screen.  I'm really having problems, so if you can help please do.  Thanks for reading my question at the very least.
