It is an interesting option but I am not sure how it works. I disconnected the other party Wifi and 3G on the iPhone, iPad and computer. I sent the iMessage 15 minutes ago and it doesn't give the small foot print "delivered" but equally said I didn't get the RED exclamation mark on the right hand side of the message in BLUE. So we know that the message was sent but not delivered. I don't seem to have the option of sending by SMS when I tap on the BLUE message and hold.

My ipad says it is connected to WiFi, which is workingly perfectly for several other devices, will not connect to internet. It keeps giving the message 'Cannot Connect' or error has occurred or just blink off site or icon?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Please help me separate these two emails. She was new to computers so, a couple of years ago I just set he up under my itunes account using her own email address. I can't seem to find a way to delete her from my itunes account and then set her up with her own itunes account. Every time I try It says that email already has an itunes account. Help!
Your iTunes Store account has nothing to do with you each recieving the other's text messages on your iOS devices. What you need to do is seperate your iCloud accounts.

On my iPad to restore my my data Ipad I have chosen language, country then it asks you to connect with cable and log into iTunes, I have done that, but cannot find this other information I need to restore from the website. Your post is somewhat confusing. To restore your iPad you use the iTunes application on your computer and connect your iPad. Select your iPad in the left column of iTunes on your computer and select General in the right column. You should find the restore choice there.

No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage. -
Just got iphone 4 yesterday. I can text to iphone users but not to non-apple users. I am connected to wifi and the imessage is on. What else can I try?

I'm currently running ios 5 beta on my iphone 4 and when i woke up this morning my phone had decided to automatically update the software OTA. After connecting to wifi and switching on location i proceeded to follow the instructions 'slide to setup'. I was informed that it may take 3 minutes to activate phone but was then presented with the screen 'Could not Activate iphone', this is because the activation server is unavailable. I'm travelling and trying to back up my new iPhone to iCloud. I have sufficient storage, am connected to wifi and it's plugged into a power source and yet it doesn't seem to work at all. I'm currently in India. Could that be the cause or can anyone suggest any reason why this wouldn't work?

If you get the error "Backup not successful" and you've tried deleting the last backup and trying to back up manually without luck, try the following test: Go to...
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options. Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup. If that doesn't work, then this post will not help. If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup. If successful, keep repeating these steps. If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail. (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one. -

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back. -

I change phones and i am not getting regular txt messages because somehow the messages are still sending through imessage which i no longer have.... I deleted my phone number from the account though as per instructiions from the phone carrier and is still not working...Any help?

It sounds like you are no longer getting text messages becuase your Apple ID is still using your phone number for iMessage. I would use these steps to unlink your phone number from your account:
Unlink a phone number
To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.
Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.

How to set up my iphone to send mail on verizon pop account
I have a Verizon account. I can receive mail on my iPhone just fine, but I can't send mail from it. I tried putting the user name and password under outgoing mail and still nothing. Any suggestions???
If Verizon's SMTP server does not support authentication, using authentication will not work.
Do you have a wireless network at home that you access via WiFi with the iPhone (connected to the internet via Verizon) and if so, does this occur when connected via WiFi or when connected via EDGE or both?
First thing to try is using 587 as the server port for Verizon's SMTP server.
Go to Settings > Mail.
Select your Verizon account and under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) in the Host Name field (which is Verizon's SMTP server address), add 587 to the address separated by a colon.
As an example only since I don't know Verizon's SMTP server address:
smtp.verizon.com:587
And the User Name and Password fields should be blank if Verizon does not support SMTP authentication.
If this doesn't work when connected via the EDGE network, AT&T Wireless has an SMTP server you can use to send messages with the account. -
Since upgrading to 8.1 not connecting to WiFi and battery is going dead after 2-3 hours
Unfortunately, like most people I upgraded my iPhone 5 to the IOS 8.1. Now I cannot connect to WIFI and my battery is draining after 2 - 3 hours. I have deleted most of my apps but still no luck. What a disaster. Samsung is looking better and better, can anyone help before I take drastic measures and trade this phone in.
okay i managed to fix the issue with the graphics on archeage, everything no longer appears multiplied in different colors.
but i am still having the pixle issue.
But now i have also discovered a new problem and thought it wouldn't hurt to post it here also.
My mouse has become supper sensitive when playing my games, one little touch when trying to rotate the screen sends it into a frenzy and i end up looking at the sky or my characters feet. i didn't notice this before as i didn't even attempt to move with
the multiple color images everywhere. Also when holding down my screen rotation button it continues to rotate in that direction even though i am no longer moving the mouse that way.
I did notice that there was a patch for mouse issues so i tried to install it but it said i didn't have the requirements for it, so i assume it was included with the 8.1 update.
I have tried adjusting the settings in the games for mouse sensitivity, and it does not effect it, i even tried to adjust the computers but could not find the setting for what i was after. The mouse rotation button is holding the left or right mouse button
down and moving the cursor in the direction you want it to move. i couldn't see anything there that can help with that as the cursor speed is fine, its only happens when i try to rotate the screen.
Any help on this and my pixle issue would be greatly appreciated! -

The settings issue would be on your wife's iPhone, assuming the message is being displayed on her phone.
