If I buy a copy of Aperture, how many macs can I install it on legally?

I have an older version of Aperture on my Mac Mini which was my first mac. I'm migratiing over to all mac's (have a 21.5 in my office) and just purchased a 27 in iMac...
Anyway I am going to buy Aperature for that mac which will be my home Mac taking the place of my Windows XP Photography Setup (etc), but can I buy a copy of Aperture for my office machine and also install it on a second or third computer like I did with iPhoto 11, Lion, etc??
I tried searching for that information but could not find the specifics. I was pleasantly surpised when my purchase of Lion and iPhoto 11 covered two macs. I did not yet try to upgrade my wifes MacBook with Lion, but figured I would be allowed to install Lion and iPhoto 11 there as well.
Any information?
Thank you,
Mike

I found it LOL..

  • How many macs can I install Logic studio on?

Ok so i recently bought my first ever iMac.
And i installed logic studio on it, but I am considering a Mac Pro because honestly; i love my iMac but i kind of just want this imac for 'personal' things (movies, music, family photos, videos ect.)
    and I want a Mac Pro just for logic and any other PRO apps I buy later on. So i was wondering if anyone can help me with the question i have;
How many macs can I install Logic studio on?

It's in your Logic Studio license agreement:
    2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions.
    A. This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on one Apple-labeled desktop computer and one Apple-labeled laptop computer so long as both computers are owned and used by you. This License does not allow the Apple Software to run on more than one computer at a time.

  • How many Macs can you install Logic Express on?

I upgraded to LE 7.1 from the Logic Audio 5/6 Big Box. I needed the XSKey to authorize the LE 7.1 upgrade -- I'm wondering, how many installations of LE 7.1 does it allow? Just for utility's sake it would be useful to install it on a desktop and a laptop, for instance.
As the XSKey still has authorizations for those previous Big Box versions, I presume I could still install Logic 5 and 6 on as many machines as I wanted, I'd just have to always have the XSKey plugged into the particular one I wanted to use at that time...right?

The agreement can be found here

    Section 2 first para
Simply you can install it on one laptop and one desktop (See the para for specifics) at the same time, but you can only use on one of these at a time.
You cannot therefore have the same license on two laptops, you need two copies.
How does it check? No idea. I don't have two apple computers.

  • How many macs can I install lion onto

If I install Lion onto my imac can I also put it onto my macbook or do I have to purchase several copies?

How To: Install OS X Lion on Multiple Macs
Psst. Here’s a little-known secret that very few people know — even though Apple has done nothing to keep it a secret. One $29.99 purchase of Lion gets you an unlimited license to download it on as many Macs as you like. And it’s super simple to do, too.
    Mac App Store
Corporate logic would dictate that one install of an operating system would equate to one purchase. But that’s not true of Lion, Apple’s latest iteration of its popular OS X operation system. With Lion, one purchase equals as many installations as you please — on as many computers as you like.
Say you’ve already downloaded and installed Lion on your primary Mac, but you want to put it on a second machine. Maybe it’s your spouse’s Mac, or a parent or child, or even a friend, for that matter. Heck, it can be your boss at work if you want to suck up. Or just a total stranger on the street. You can give anyone you want a free download of Lion. Whether they use an iMac or a MacBook, it doesn’t matter. And it won’t cost you one extra cent. You just have to get brief access to their computer. Here’s what to do.
On the second (or third, or fourth, etc.) Mac you want to install Lion on, open the Mac App Store.
Go to the “Store” drop-down menu, and click on “Sign Out.” Then go back to the same menu and click “Sign In.”
Here’s the key point. When the drop-down menu appears, sign in to this computer using the Apple ID that you used to download your original purchase of Lion.
Click on the “Purchased” tab at the top of the App Store. You’ll be presented with a list of every app you’ve ever downloaded for your Mac. Find “OS X Lion” on this list. It should look like this:
To the far right of Lion should be a button that says “Install.” Click it. You’ll probably get another drop-down menu asking for your password again. Just put it in and your download will begin immediately.
Once the download is complete (which will take a while — it’s 4GB in size after all!) and the installation is done, remember to go back to the Mac App Store and sign out, so the user of this computer can sign back in with their Apple ID.

  • Buying from the App Store--how many machines can I install it on?

When I buy Mountain Lion from the app store, am I permitted to install it on my wife's machines as well as mine? My children's?

Yes on all computers you own using the same Apple ID of the original purchase.
Make sure your household computers meet these hardware requirements.
Back up each Mac user home directory. The home directories will not be touched during an Upgrade, but it is good diligence anyway.
You can re-download the Mountain Lion updater to each Mac by using the Option key in the App Store Purchases section. The last thing the updater does on completion, is remove itself from the computer.
Make sure that any applications you presently use have been upgraded to work with Mountain Lion. PowerPC applications will no longer work. Some Applications may need to be reinstalled.

As a follow up question...my daughter purchased one of the new iMacs in September. This was just before the release of OS X 10.5. I'm not sure it is fair for her to have to pay $129 when she only had 10.4 for about 30 days prior to the new release.
There is always a cutoff line, and it has to be drawn somewhere, and every single one of us is subject to it, and it's usually pretty consistent. In that way, it is fair. HIstorically, Apple never provides a free upgrade until the new OS upgrade policy is actually announced, so it could have been researched. Other companies have a track record of starting free upgrades from the announce date, but Apple does not historically operate that way. Leopard was announced long ago and free upgrades were not announced until the final ship date was known. Which completely makes sense from a revenue standpoint.
Now, if you discover that you're outside the free upgrade cutoff, all is not lost. If your daughter is a student and her school has a software purchase program and she can get it at a steeply discounted price, then it will be US who will be pointing at YOU and saying "That's not fair that you can buy it legally for so much less than we all paid at retail."
So look into your educational discounts. I have heard that they have changed for Leopard; you may get a lower price going through the school rather than walking into an Apple store and showing student ID.

  • How many macs can  i install on

I have purchased iLife09 and i have 2 macs in the household, somebody told me that i can install this software onto two Macs computers as long as in the same household. Can anybody point me to information regarding the licence as i cannot find it.

The single user version is just what it says - for a single user
the family pack is for up to 5 users in one household
The Family Pack Software License Agreement allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple software on up to a maximum of five (5) Apple-labeled computers at a time as long as those computers are located in the same household and used by persons who occupy that household. By "household" we mean a person or persons who share the same housing unit such as a home, apartment, mobile home, or condominium, including students who are primary residents of that household but reside at a separate on-campus location. This license does not extend to business or commercial users.

  • How many Macs can I install Leopard on?

    Hi,
Quick question: I'd like to install Leopard both on an external HD (to test it) and then on my PowerBook. I'd also like to put it on my wife's PB.
Do I have to find the Family Pack or is one all I need?
    Thanks!

    hi,
the standard version of Leopard could only be install on one computer at a time. so if you want to be legit and intall it on your wife's PB, you should consider the family pack.
beside, I think you are correct to have the standard version install on your PB and on an external HD for testing or backup purpose since you couldn't run these two copies at the same time with your PB.
