If I delete my free iCloud email address, can I create a new one for free?

Or did I blow my only free chance?

Yes, they're all free but you can only create 3 on each device, including iOS devices as well as Macs.  You can use the same account on multiple devices, but you can only create a maximum of 3 accounts on each device.
This has nothing to do with email aliases.  An alias is simply an email address that disguises your actual email address.  This is useful to have it your want to use it for signing up for accounts on websites, etc., where you don't want to give out your real email address.  Email sent to an alias arrives in the same inbox as email sent to your real email address.  You can have up to three email aliases for your account, but again, this has nothing to do with the maximum of creating 3 iCloud accounts per device.  This is discussed in more detail here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.

CCan I change my iCloud email address name without creating a new account?

Once you have created an iCloud account and chosen an @icloud.com address to go with it you can't change the address (short of creating an entirely new account).
However, all is not lost. You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

  • Why can't I use my previous MobileMe email address instead of creating a new one?

Why can't I use my previous MobileMe email address instead of creating a new one?  When signing up for iCloud I'm asked to choose an email address [email protected]  I am already using an @me address via moblileme.  When i input that address it states that that address is already taken.  Try picking a new one.  I don't want a new one I want to use my mobileme address.  How can that be done?

It appears you set up a new iCloud account rather than migrating your MobileMe account over to iCloud.  I migrated everything over this morning and am still using my old MobileMe email address.
Check to see if you can migrate rather than open a new account.

  • Currently have ipod touch 4 and am getting an iphone 5c. Want to transfer data to new phone. Currently all our family devices on one apple ID for purchases and it is the same for icloud. I want to create a new one for icloud for this iphone. What do I do?

Currently have ipod touch 4 and am getting iphone 5c this weekend. Currently our family has several apple devices and they have the same apple ID for itunes and it is the same ID that we use for icloud. I want to set up a separate icloud ID so that it is only on my new device. I still want to keep the same apple ID for purchases. Can I do this and better yet when do I do this...before the purchase, after the purchase and backing up of data. Where do I go to create a new one?

    Figured it out. Thanks.

  • I'm confused about the apple ID transition from my aol screen name. Does it continue to use my aol email as my apple ID, converting it somehow or do I need to provide a new email address or just create a new username for the apple ID?

I'm confused about the transition to an apple ID that doesn't use my aol email to sign in. The instructions are vague and ambiguous. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, so if your current Apple ID using your AOL Username (like johndoe), then you need to log onto Manage your Apple ID and EDIT that AOL Username to a valid email address: Apple - My Apple ID
If you have an AOL email address (like [email protected]), and you are not using that as another Apple ID, you can change the AOL Username Apple ID to that. Otherwise, you can change it to any valid email address (which you will have to verify when you change to it).
Hope that clears it up. Post back if it doesn't!

  • Deleted Microsoft Exchange iphone account and can't create a new one

I was having problems with my Hotmail account and so deleted it with the intention of setting it up again. Now I am unable to add my account in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendar and get the message "Account Already Exists. Only one Exchange ActiveSync account can be configured". But I don't have any other accounts. How can I get it to recognise that I have deleted the original account?
Is there a way around this without resetting the phone?

Try this, perhaps your exchange account was by profile:
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Go to General
    3. Go to Profile
    4. Click on the profile and then click on the Remove and you will get a warning. ALSO, BY REMOVING THIS PROFILE YOU WILL ALSO REMOVE THE CERTIFICATES and WIFI/VPN settings that the profile may also had included.

  • HT201356 I have accidentally deleted my alternate iCloud (email) address. Are there any possibilities to retrieve it back because my iPad is connected to that email address, and now, I can't log out from it on my iPad, because it doesn't exist?

I have accidentally deleted my alternate iCloud (email) address. Are there any possibilities to retrieve it back because my iPad is connected to that email address, and now, I can't log out from it on my iPad, because it doesn't exist.
I have alternate icloud email attached to my iPad and I accidentally delete it from appleid.apple.com. And now I can't log out that iCloud account because it doesn't exist and it can't recognize my password.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I have one icloud id on my mac and want to share photos, calendars, etc with an ipad with a different icloud id.  if I create a new id for both of us will this work?  My concern is losing data on either device. (the mac book pro is new, but has all of the retrieved data from my previous mac book pro)

You will lose data from whichever was the 2nd to last to sync .
    Don't do it.

  • If i had my iphone 4s stole and i had apple care can i get a new one for free?, if i had my iphone 4s stole and i had apple care can i get a new one for free?

if i had my iphone 4s stolen and i had apple care can i get a new one for free

Apple care does not cover theft. It covers manufacturing defects for warranty. You need to contact the police and report it to them. Only insurance would replace a phone, and usually with a deductible. There is no free phone in your future.

  • My apple ipod shuffle's ear headset has lost..And My ipod is in warranty period..So Can I get a new one for free or i should bye ?

My apple ipod shuffle's ear headset has lost..And My ipod is in warranty period..So Can I get a new one for free or i should bye ?

Frankly just about any headset with the proper size connection will likely work.  We like ear buds with soft coverings so even when we get a hard headset with a player we swap them out.  While Apple might just possibly give you a set for free since they are not an expensive item, loss is not covered by warranty.  If you're a long drive from an Apple Store it might cost you more in fuel and vehicle wear and tear than going to a local store and buying a comfortable replacement.

  • My screen broke can i get a new one for free?

my screen broke can i get a new one for free?

I wouldn't say that you cant get a new one. It is because there is a one year warranty and if it didn't expire yet then you could still trade in your ipod touch.  If your warranty expired than just buy a new one and install it or get a professional to do it.

  • How do I delete an iCloud email address that was created under my Apple ID?

I have an Apple ID that is used mostly for iTunes.  My son has an iPod Touch and wanted to create an iCloud email address to use on his iPod.  We created an iCloud email address through my Apple ID, not realizing that now, every time he sends an email, it arrives "from" my name, not his, as the address is attached to my Apple ID and therefore through my account information.  We would like to delete his iCloud email address completely so he can open his own personal Apple ID and recreate his iCloud email address through his own new Apple account.  We deleted the account from his iPod and also deleted it as a second email address on my AppleID account information.  Yet, despite all this, the email address seems to remain attached to my account.  Apple Support website and iCloud support did not give us any ideas.  Help!

    PS:
since I posted this question (above), I have read many other questions posted and it seems I am not alone.  Seems Apple will not allow people to delete an iCloud email address completely from existence!  You can delete it from devices but not from the Apple ID account.  What a disappointment, really.  In my opinion, the "user-friendly" Apple is really frustrating people who simply want to be able to manage their email addresses for various, valid reasons.  Email addresses that have been created should be allowed to be deleted by the creator!  Other email services allow this!
One idea I have that may help others in my situation:  Rather than delete my son's iCloud email address from my Apple ID account, so that his emails come from HIS name not MINE, I might try to just change the name on my AppleID account from mine to his.  He can create a new password too.  Then, in the future, if I want to recreate my own Apple ID, I will.

  • Apple has just deleted my alias - which I was using as my main email address.  They deny me creating a new one for 7 days.  How can I get in touch with Apple so that they repair what they have broken?

Has anyone had a problems with their alias today?
Apple has deleted mine today; causing me a major headache as they deleted the alias that I use as my main email address.
What happened exactly, is that the @icloud.com alias remained, but the @me.com disapeared.  So that the John.Smith alias became valid only for [email protected], but [email protected] disapeared.
To try to restore the situation, I deleted the alias, with the hope of re-creating it: but bad luck, that option is not open to me as I have had 5 aliases active till today, and they now only give you 3, and even once I had deleted 2, they would not allow me to set-up a new one for 7 DAYS.
I can't be without email for 7DAYS, care of Apple.  Calling AppleCare does not seem to help, and the line gets dropped once I have explained the problem.
Please help me raise someone at Apple to fix this.
    Alain

  • Apple ID is an icloud email address.  Am I being charged extra for this address. Have been notified that there is a change recently made

Am I being charged extra for my Apple ID which is an icloud email address. Have been notified that there has been a change.?

Apple IDs are free. Your Apple ID is also usable as your iCloud email address. You need not use it as such.

  • ICloud email address can't be used for iMessage or FaceTime

When trying to add an @iCloud email address to the 'you can be reached at' list in iMessage/FaceTime I get an error message that says 'This email address cannot be used for iMessage'
The primary email address I use for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime is not an iCloud email address - would this make a difference?

Then it's probably an alias address.  If you go to iCloud.com, launch Mail, click the gear icon on the lower left and choose preferences, then go to the accounts tab, you'll see your main address and any alias address you've created listed there (like the screenshot example below).  You won't be able to use an alias for iMessage and FaceTime, you have to use your main @icloud.com email address or add another non-Apple email address that can be verified.
