If I didn't ask for a SIM card when I purchased today, can I still get one for free tomorrow?

If I didn't ask for a SIM card when I purchased today, but after I went back home I found that I indeed need a SIM card for my new iPhone. Can I still get one for free tomorrow? Or... will I be charged for SIM card?

Depends where you purchased the iPhone and who your carrier is ,ask them

  • I want to change to local carrier sim card when traveling. Do I need to get an unlocked iphone 5?

I live in the US, and want to buy iphone 5. I am having a hard time to figure out which iphone 5 I should get. I will use the phone in the US most of the time. Therefore, I will purchase a plan from a US carrier. I also want to use the phone when traveling in Asia. I don’t want to use international roaming because every time I travel, I need more 1,000 minutes talking on the phone. Do I need to get an unlocked iphone 5? I heard iphone 4S can change sim card at local carrier. Does iphone 5 have the same option?

"Do I need to get an unlocked iphone 5? "
    Yes.
There has been no announcement about the release of an unlocked iphone 5 yet.
"I heard iphone 4S can change sim card at local carrier."
If it is unlocked then it can use other SIM cards.

  • Problems with my Apple id since 2 weeks: i received for 3 times a mail from Apple who said: you're password was reseted but i didn't asked for reset. So i have to re-change my password again. How can i be sure my account is not hackd

    hi everyone,
since 2 weeks: i received for 3 times a mail from Apple who said: "you're password was reseted..." but i didn't asked for reset. So i have to re-change my password again. How can i be sure my account is not hacked ?
    Best regards.

I'll add my problem to this list as it sounds similar. First a little background. This is a problem I think we will see from a lot of long term users, so here is my story. When .Mac was first made available I signed up and was given a new apple ID [email protected] At this point I already had an Apple ID that I was using for just music purposes (apps didnt't exist yet) but was told by apple I would have to give it up. They could not merge IDs and would not change them. The end result was getting a new Apple ID and having to redownload all my purchased music over P2P or burn it and  re-rip to remove the DRM. Fast forward a bit to a time when Gmail is getting bigger. I'm invited to try it out and I decide that I'm going to stop paying $100 for email, as I never really used he other features iDisk, photo sharing etc, and syncing contacts, calendars and mail was just as easy through gmail. Now years later we have iCloud. I have to sign in with my outdated .mac ID, at this point I have for too many apps/music/shows to drop that ID. When I sign in with that .mac Apple ID I get the automated iCloud message telling me my new email address is [email protected] However when I go to send email from my iCloud account it is using .mac as the sending address and the mail will not go through. I can't change it in the mail app or in settings. I'm kind of at a loss as to where to go next. I'm stuck with a defunct email address as a username that is more or less a key to thousands of dollars worth of content, and a new email address that won't function and nobody at Apple can press the right buttons to help clean it up. Some kind of system should be in place to change a user ID. Maybe once a year or once every other year. **** at this point I would even pay a one time fee just for my user name to be rid of that old .mac extension.

Most of the time, when I hit a link, it opens but tabs with ads or pages that I didn't ask for are opening also and they come up on top. I have to dump them to get to the link I originally hit. How can I stop this from happening? It's so irritating and they take a while to come up before I can close them. Note: I use Firefox for Mac OS

You can stop that behavior by changing two settings within the browser. Go to Tools -> Options and click on the CONTENT button. Make sure that "Block pop-up windows" is checked. Then click on the ADVANCED button on the far right and add a check to "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload".
That should stop most of them. If not all, then you could install AdBlock Plus add-on, since most of the redirects are ad generated. (Tools -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons)

  • Backup encrypted on Win 8, first use, didn't ask for password

Now trying to install backup on a new phone and it is asking for a password, which it didn't ask for last night when I backed it up. HELP!

Well, OS X is inherently multi-user, and each user is themselves protected by their own login password. So you have a few choices. You can set your computer to require a password when it wakes from sleep or recovers from a screensaver, or to log out after a certain amount of inactivity. Or, for manual control, you can set up a user for yourself and one for guests, and switch the user when you hand over control of the computer.
And, of course, setting up automatic backups using Time Machine or another method is a very very good idea in any case.

  • How to remove 3rd party charges I didn't ask for :(

Charges showed up in a text message late last night for something I have no idea about. It says to dial *611 to remove them. Well that would be all right but I pushed every number on the menu trying to figure out where to go to remove this charge. You then get the sub-menus with no clearer choice. What a crock! I am so mad! I really want to jack around with a phone trying to play the "let's see if you can figure out how to remove this charge that you didn't ask for game". I am ready to throw the thing thru a window! Anybody know the magic "combo" on me menus they give you? Thanks!

You can log into your on-line MyVerizon account or call Customer Service and block premium texts.  If you speak with Customer Service, they'll sometimes remove the charge if it's the first time it's occurred.  If you dial *611 to talk with Customer Service, press 4 and then say 'agent'.

  • IPhone didn't come with a sim card

My iPhone just arrived in post but didn't come with a SIM card is this normal ?

If it was purchased directly from Apple as an unlocked phone it will not come with a SIM card. If it is carrier locked it should have a SIM for the carrier.

  • In new iPad 4g, when sim card is not inserted, I can not find the enable 4g tap in the setting-cellular data tap, can some one please tell me if this is normal and if so, then when it appears, thanks

If the SIM is out of your phone, find my phone needs a data connection, so could use wifi - IF in range of a wifi and one that it can join (ie. a known network or one that is wholly open so no login required).  Your phone could also simple be turned off, so not findable, or it may have been restored (plugged into iTunes and restored as new) again, making it permanently unfindable.  Honestly, for someone stealing an iPhone, this is likely the first thing they do - restore as new and it is theirs forever.
Find my iPhone is tied to the users iCloud account - the find function is part of the iCloud account's services and it communicates with the iCloud servers over a data connection - either wifi or 3G.
Have you set up your iCloud account on your replacement phone, and is it working properly on that phone?
