You shouldn't, but all of this should be on your computer anyway.
You should not update/upgrade/restore/etc without making sure that everything is backed up.

  • Need to delete Itunes and re install it. Will i loose all my music library?

I accidentally deleted Quick time. It is needed to run itunes. A message tells me to uninstall Itunes and re install it again. My concern is : will i loose all my music library in process? Here's some additional info :
    WinXP
    Ipod Classic (5th gen)
Any help is appreciated. Please email me [email protected] Thanks a bunch

    Hey there,
No, because your music is stored elsewhere on your computer (most likely under My Music from within My Documents). I have had to follow this procedure a few times and have never lost a song. So go ahead and re-install.

  • Will I loose all my free apps and music if I update itunes to newest version..

Will I loose all my apps n music if I update itunes to the newest version out? Please advise the last time there was an update I lost everything on my ipod touch. And I dont wanna loose everything on my iphone as well! Please advise..

You shouldn't lose anything from your computer.  You should always make sure that your backup copy of your computer ( including your itunes library) is up to date before any update.

You are talking about the menu bar of Itunes, right?
Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.
where exactly is the Store/synck you iphone option?
After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone.

I wnat to update my ipod touch 3 gen, but I changed my computer a month ago and lost my whole library!!! But it's still in my ipod, so I wonder if I update the thing will I loose all my music allready on it?
    thanx in advance!

Your iPod Touch will be erased when you update to the new iOS4 and synced with what is in your iTunes library, You should consult the following post for some useful hints on what to do.

It is important to backup. Purchased songs, videos, iPod Games, and albums can be downloaded only once.

  • If I disinstall iTune and reinstall it will I loose all my music?

If I disinstall iTune and reinstall it will I loose all my music? I am constantly alerted that I must install an updated version but each time I try to do it it does not work. What should I do?

Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)

  • My i tunes is saying corrupt and to reinstall. How do i do this and will i loose all my music after a reinstall

my i tunes, all of the sudden is saying corrupt and to reinstall, how do i go about this, and will i loose all my music. Why did this happen? i am using a dell laptop.

By the way, this forum is for questions about Apple Remote Desktop, Apple's software for managing networked Mac systems, and hence not the best place for your question. If you need further assistance, I'd suggest asking in the iTunes for Windows forum.

  • Will i loose all my music and pictures and apps if i use a different computer

will i loose all my music and pictures and apps if i use a different computer?

In order to use a different computer than what the device was originally synced with, you would need to use a 3rd party application to back the information up, prior to syncing with iTunes.
If you try to sync on a different computer than usual, you will get a message stating that it will wipe all data out and start from scratch... and it will erase everything.
