If iCloud makes backups of different iOs devices

When  making iCloud backups of different iOS - devices ( eg : in my case iphone , iPad-1 and iPad Air), are these. Backups individual for each device ?
- Or is there only 1 Backup done ( for one device), and the rest written over ?
Thx in advance

There is a separat backup for each device.

Is it possible to use different iOS devices with the same account of the gamecenter? in that case, can two people play a game with the same account and add both scores to the same leaderboard nickname?

You should be able to use the same account. The top scores will get updated on the leader board.

  • HT4859 MobleMe, Apple Backup, a non-iOS device, and iCloud

If I undrstand correctly, when MobleMe dies in a few weeks, the Apple Backup program will only backup your computer's info to local hard drives as it does NOT use iCloud?

    Hi,
The Apple App is called Messages on both iOS and Mac OS X devices.
The iOS version on iPhone can send SMS to non iOS devices.
At present (although rumoured to be coming) the Mac version cannot SMS to iPhone or non iOS devices.
However IF you have an AIM Login (AND some Apple issued IDs are valid AIM logins) and the person is using  US phone on one of these carriers then the app will send SMS using the AIM service as  sort of "translator" from IM (Instant Messages) to SMS
Basically you add a +1 (Country Code) to the Number and Add that to your AIM Buddy like it was  Buddy.
Messenger tends to refer to MSN messenger or possibly Yahoo IM app that is called Yahoo Instant Messenger.

  • How can i look at my files from icloud backup if my iOS device is no longer available (was stolen)?

Is it possible to view and download photos that were in each iOS device's last backup? I do not have the iOS devices anymore as they were stolen while traveling.
Unfortunately, I significantly misunderstood how photo stream was working and due to memory limitations on my iPad (very little available memory with loaded movies and other big memory uses), I had to find ways to keep memory from being totally full and was deleting photos in Photo Stream on that iOS device thinking it would only delete it on that device and not ALL iOS devices. It seems that is a missing feature selection (should be a default too IMO) on Photo Stream!!
    thx in advance..

If you want to view and download your photos from your backup files,  I think you need the help of third party iOS data recovery like ifonebox, dr.phone. Such kinds of software can help you view and retrieve your photos. Hope this is helpful to you.

  • My contacts do not show up on iMac but do show up on iCloud web page and my iOS devices.  Any suggestions?

As stated, my contacts are present and correct on all my iOS devices and on iCloud.com but they do not show up in contacts on my new iMac.
The accounts details are the same and the password has been accepted so I assume it is correct (I have re-entered it numerous times on the iMac) yet still the contacts won't appear.  This also affects Messages whereby the sender appears as a number and not as a contact.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I was sure I'd tried this already but gave it one more go to no avail.
    Any other suggestions?

  • We have 4 different iOS devices in the same household. 2 iPhones, iPad Air

Hello. We currently have 2 iphones, an iMac & an iPad Air in our household. We have 1 iTunes account & have always had one email address. We would like each iOS device to basically have its own identity. Mainly when using something such as Facetime. I would like each phone to only be contacted on Facetime by someone calling that particular phone's number. And then when someone calls the iMac on Facetime, as of right now, it's being reached by someone calling our email address. And we just got the iPad Air & I would like that to be reached separately. So when having 1 iTunes account & 1 email, as of now, how can I set this up? Because right now when someone tries calling us on Facetime using our email address, it contacts all the devices.  Also, I would like iMessages coming into one of the iPhones & the iPad to be linked, and the other iPhone & the iMac to be linked for iMessages. Could someone please help? Thanks!

You will all need to be on the same itunes account ID.
You can however all have seperate icloud accounts aswel.

  • How do i sync or view pdf documents on iCloud on mac with my iOS devices?

I have iCloud drive on my mac but can't have same on my iPad and iPhone. how do i sync or view my pdf documents in iCloud on my mac across all my devices?

the free apps are only for ios device (iphone ipad ipod touch) and do not work on mac computers. if you do get pages and numbers on your mac though you can sync the information using icloud

  • ICloud email alias deletion vs iOS device

When you delete (or mark disable) an alias in iCloud.com, how long before that alias dissappears from the list of choices when using iPhone or iPad? I know on your iOS device, you can go into icloud-settings-advanced and toggle each one off from there (which seems not to reflect the choices you made on iCloud.com, but will they ever sync up so deleted/disabled alias's will stop showing up as a choice to send mail on your iOS device?

    It's easy.
I suppose you are using Mail as your mail application, so open it. Then, go to Mail menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > Accounts, and choose your iCloud account in the sidebar. After that, you should see an "Alias" option, so press it and you will see your @icloud.com and @me.com addresses. Choose the @icloud.com email address, and you will be using this mail account on your Mac.
However, you can't remove a @me.com email address from iCloud

  • Can you play games/apps against different iOS devices (e.g. in multiplayer)?

For instance if a friend has the game FIFA 13 installed on their iPhone 5, would i be able to play against them in multi-player mode on my iPod Touch 5th generation? Or must we all own the same iOS device in order to play each other (i.e. must be both own iphones)?

All you need is the same multiplayer app on the other device(s). For example, an iPod can play against an iPhone

  • How do I make that iTunes and iOS devices update the name of the devices?

I have two new Apple Tv's, changed the names, but they all appear in Airplay option as "Apple TV", not the names I gave them. So, basically by try and error method I have to figure out which one I'm at.
    Anyone knows?
The names are changed, I turned them off, unplugged them, restarted iTunes, iOS Devices, and nothing... they appear all three as "Apple TV"
Hope you can help me out. Thanks for your time!

I have the same problem, and I'm browsing forums as we speak looking for answers.  The only thing I've read is that some people have restarted their routers to reset naming issues they are getting on their network.  I'm going to give this is a shot to see if it fixes the problem.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the remote app, and it didn't work either.

  • When you are going to make mozilla firefox for IOS devices?

hi, i love so much Mozilla FireFox, but I hold an iphone and I am curious to know if you are going to produce Mozilla Firefox on IOS devices because I am waiting for it hardly..
    Thanks

There is no way for Mozilla to create Firefox for iOS. Apple greatly restricts what sort of applications can be created for iOS. The only thing that Mozilla could provide is a Firefox Sync client that then uses the iOS Safari browser.

  • Want same Apple Id with separate icloud id on different iOS devices

Hello everyone.. I'm facing a similar situation. I'm having an apple id on my iPhone. Recently i purchased an iPad air and used same apple id that is on my iPhone for app store purchases. I've not yet set up an iCloud account on my iPad. On my iPhone i used the same apple id as my iCloud id. I want to have a separate iCloud account for my iPad as i don't want to share data other than app purchases between my iPad and iPhone..
Please guide me how to do it.. And kindly advice if there is any other solution to my problem..
      Thanks in advance..

You can use up to 4 different apple id's on ipad/iphone. Multiple families do use more then one. In your case you could use Same for everyone id in itunes and app store for apps, music and movies (Settings- itunes and app store). And personal id's for icloud, facetime and imessage (Settings - icloud, Settings - messages, Settings - facetime).

  • What happens if you delete the iCloud backup of an iOS device using the iCloud control panel on a Windows computer?

    ....

    Penelope,
The issue is your iCloud email.  It seems that you use your mail frequently.  I strongly recommend you to look at the affordable rates that will suit you.  If I was you, I would select the 20gb plan that offers you 20gb + 5gb free storage that gives you a grand total of 25gb.  That will only cost you .99 cents a month, less than a Starbucks coffee.  Penelope, that will resolve your issue swiftly.

  • How can i synchronize different contacts and different calendars with different iOS devices using the same Apple ID and iTune ID?

I have the following situation. 1 Apple ID. 1 iTune account. I have 2 ipads and 2 iPhones
1- I would like to have a set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (mine) sharing the same contacts and calendar entries (synching from outlook)
2- I would like to have another set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (my wife's) sharing contacts and calendar entries but obviously these would be a different set of contacts and calendar entries than mine
How can I set up my four devices to do this?
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

  • How do I use the same bluetooth device with different iOS devices without having to "Forget" then "Pair" every time?

    Hi,
I have bought a pair of Sennheiser MM100 wireless headphones and they are great, however, I'm having trouble switching between devices.
I have an iPad2 and an iPhone 4s and the headphones connect to both with no problems. My issue comes when I want to switch from using the headphones with my iPhone (listening to music on the walk to the train station) to using them with my iPad (to watch a movie on the train). The iPad still shows that it is paired with the headphones but will not connect saying that they must be turned off or out of range. Even if I turn the headphones off then on again, they immediately reconnect with the iphone.
I've tried deselecting the headphones as the source for audio from the airplay icon before I make the switch and have also done this before turning them off and then back on again.
The only way I can make the switch is to turn the headphones off, tell the iPad to forget the device, turn the headphones on (by holding the on button for 5 seconds it automatically goes to Pair mode). I pair up the iPad and it connects fine. But I have to go through the same process when the train pulls into my stop to be able to use the headphones to listen to music to walk to work!
Is there an easier way? I thought I would just be able to use the airplay icon to deselect it on one device and select it for the other.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm going to miss my stop on the train some day!!!

    Here's the trick.
    turn on the headphones.
It will connect to the device it last connected to ...assuming that its' on.
go to the bluetooth menu of your phone or ipad (if it's a computer you want to connect to I'll tell you that trick in a second.
and so now, hold down the S button on the headphones for about 4 or 5 seconds (the same button you use to turn on the headphones) ...the light goes from blue to blinking red....now you're in the pairing mode...which is good...now in the bluetooth menu simply select the mm100 and it will connect...
you won't have to type in the 0000 or tell it to forget the device..
but by holding down the button and putting it in pairing mode it frees it from being connected to the device it automatically connected to and lets it connect to the device you choose. this is true of any bluetooth headset.
if you want to connect to your computer, again...hold down that button on the headphones for 4 or 5 seconds till it enters pairing mode, then on your computer if you have a speaker icon in the menu bar, hold down the option key while selecting the speaker icon...you'll see a list of devices ...select the mm100 and your good to go.
if you don't have the speaker icon there..go to system prefences and choose the mm100's there.
