I downloaded and synced Sherlock Holmes and start trek 3009 just fine on my iPod touch 2nd generation before years back. I manually download and sync all my stuff. Do they play in iTunes on the computer?

  • During school I lost my iPod, not sure at all where it is, may have been stolen, new iPod Touch 5th Generation, any way to track it or at least erase every bit of information on it without using iCloud as I did not use FindMyIphone for it

Also made the stupid mistake of not having a pin on it, and there is vital information on my iPod, also signed into every Social App I use, I need to sort this out, and any help would be amazing

    No.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

  • I Ordered Apple IPOD touch 5th generation. I am going to INDIA on 18th October. Can I get it before??

    Hi Friends,
I Ordered Apple IPOD touch 5th generation. I am going to INDIA on 18th October. Can I get it before??
Or else i has to cancel the order? please provide your valuable comments on this.

I cancelled my preorder when the available date changed from September 21 to October. I will wait until it is in the Apple retail store. I want to see the demo and evaluate  iOS 6. Too many iOS 6 issues to do a pig in a poke on this one.
If the device is not available until the end of October I'll wait until Black Friday and enjoy the discount. I will visit the Apple Store that day to purchase my gift to self items :)

  • IPod touch 5th generation stuck on headphone mode.

Last night I dropped my iPod touch 5th generation in a hot tub. I quickly got out and dried it off. I thought it was fine but, this morning I noticed that even when the headphones weren't plugged in it was on headphone mode. It wouldn't play music of sound. What do I do?

Hey Rissa4700, You dried off the outside, but your problem is the water on the inside of your iPod, causing shorts. If not to late, but you have been trying to use while it is still wet, attempt to dry your iPod out. Leave it off, do not use or attempt to charge. Place it in a bag of uncooked rice for 7 days, change the rice every couple of days. After drying, attempt to turn on, you may need to charge for 30 minutes. If your iPod does not turn on, attempt to Reset, by pressing and holding the power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears, (about 10 seconds) then release both buttons. May need to repeat this step. If that does not work try connecting with your computer and Restore from Backup, if no joy, Restore to New. Last resort, try DFU recovery mode if all else fails. If your iPod still will not work, contact Apple about an out of warranty replacement, this will cost you money, but it's cheaper than new.
If you get the iPod to turn on, try the speaker and headphones, do you get sound? If all works as it should, the first thing you want to do is make a full set of backups of all the stuff on this iPod to your computer. The funny thing about water damage is it may work just fine, and it may quit without warning, you never know. If the sound only works when headphones are plugged in, the switch inside the headphone port may be stuck open. Try quickly plugging / unplugging the headphone jack about 12 times to free the switch. May have to repeat this step. And just be clear after you do all this your iPod may never work again. Good luck. Cheers.

  • How do I get my ipod touch 5th generation to always use my car speakers when I plug it into the USB port?

How do I get my ipod touch 5th generation to always use my car speakers when I plug it into the USB port?

If the problem occurs after you restore it to factory defaults/new iPod then it is likely a hardware problem.  I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Can I use Bluetooth 3.0 headphone on the iPod Touch 5th Generation which has Bluetooth Blue 4.0?

Can I use Bluetooth 3.0 headphone on the iPod Touch 5th Generation which has Bluetooth Blue 4.0?  This will be a first time purchase of a headphone, (preferably behind the head, earbuds) mostly likely from an on-line store.  Any recommendations?

    Yes, it is backwards compatible.

  • Best screen protecter for iPod touch 5th generation?

What is the best screen protecter for the iPod Touch 5th generation?

Pretty much any of them made for an iPod 5 will protect the screen from scratches, it's more personal preference. I personally use a Survivor case by Griffin. It's a little bulky but it offers protection for the entire iPod not just the screen. The rubberized back and sides protect against drops and falls, (cracked screens) and the port covers keep muck and moisture out of the charging and headphone ports. I have beat the snot out of it and so far so good. Just note some cases are waterproof like the Survivor  (will keep most water off your iPod, spills, rain, snow) and some are watertight like Lifeproof Fre (drop it in the toilet-- happens more than you'd think-- or go swimming with it and it's still dry provided the seals are working). Check around, see what works for you. Hope this helps, Good luck.

  • The head phone jack on my brand new iPod touch 5th generation is not working properly

The head phone jack on my brand new iPod touch 5th generation is not working properly. It has sound without the headphones in but when I plug them in it has no sound, it's low, or poppy. I had only used my apple supplied headphones once before and it worked fine. I know it's not the headphones because I tried them on my girlfriends phone and they worked fine.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • My iPod Touch 5th generation (running IOS 8.1.2)...

My iPod Touch 5th generation (running IOS 8.1.2), when connected to my iMac (running OS X Yosemite) will charge, but is not regained, or for that matter even noticed by the iTunes application. The iPod will sync to dropbox when connected, but nothing else. On the device, it will ask if to "trust" the iMac, I naturally hit that it should, but still no change.

  • Where are the cases specifically for the 16GB iPod touch 5th generation!?

The 16GB model of the iPod touch 5th generation was released on May 30, 2013, replacing the 4th generation iPod touch because of it being uncompatible with an upcoming version of iOS. (as known as; iOS 7) This "new" (not so new anymore) 16GB model is the exact same as the other 5th generation iPod touch's (now called the 32GB/64GB models) except 3 differences; which make finding a case for it impossible. It has no rear facing iSight camera, LED Flash, iPod touch loop, and the microphone has been repositioned to the top of the device.
Now everyone who owns an Apple product, or knows anything about Apple, knows good and well that it doesn't take 3 months for a new device to receive a compatible case from a case manufacturer. I'm tired of it! We all know that cases that are actually made to protect the iPod are going to be covering that microphone at the top, and, if you have the 16GB model, having big cutouts on the back of the case for a camera and loop that aren't there is going to become annoying.
I love the iPod and all of its features; considering that it's only $70 more than the overpriced nano and I get the App Store, 4" iPhone 5 Retina Display, a speaker, Front facing HD Camera, iOS and more, I'm happy with it and its price. But I hate that there is no cases for it. Any help?

by Belkin, so a place to start.
They're a lot more expensive, but Griffin has some of their 'survivor' cases with sealed ports, so you could cover up the ones you don't need.
If best buy isn't an option for you, at least there's a manufacturer to look for.
