If one records a concert on an ipad, is it backed up by the cloud?

I would like to use my Ipad 2 to record live concerts, recitals, etc.  Will the cloud back it up?

Hey clifslo,
Great question! Yes, your iCloud backup includes photos and videos, however please keep in mind that your backup will depend on the amount of storage available. So you’ll want to make sure your iCloud account has a sufficient storage plan to back up large (and long) videos:

  • My iPad will not back up on the cloud or on my PC or on my brand new iMac

IS there any fix for an iPad 2 that will not back up. I have tried the cloud back up and on the pc I originally paired with the iPad. I just bought a new iMac and it will not sync on it even though I went I went through the authorizing process. As a result of not backing up I cannot upgrade to IOS 6

When trying to sync with iMac I got the following: attempting to copy to disk IMacintosh HD failed. Unknown error (oXe8004002)
When trying to back up on the cloud, the back up time bar went to about 3/4 of the way to finishing and stopped. The message said that it could not be backed up.
When I previously tried to download IOS 6 using the PC, I had originally synced with the iPad, it looked like it loaded the IOS6, but crashed during the back up phase.
When I go to iCloud.com, it asked me to set up the devise, but when I go to settings it shows my account number and the list of mail, calendar, etc. that is synced

  • My main pc died. How do I get my complete library on the replacement pc.  Apple says I have authorized the limit of five. I only recall doing so on the dead pc and an IPAD.  My IPAD suggests that I am on the cloud but I don't recall setting that up.

My old PC with my Itunes library died.  I have attempted to authorize it's replacement but the store tells me I have reached my limit of five.  I don't recall doing this so my guess is that and old dead Ipod as well as old dead PC's could be deauthorized ONLY and I would be good.  As I read the Itunes store options it appears I can only deauthorize all five.  I am afraid I will loose all my library; I'm not shure I have an up to date backup with Itunes I am reluctant to take that step.
I can take the hard drive out of the dead computer and fix so that I can restore from an up to date library.  I have never done this before and am scared I might erase my best option.  I also have a major portion of my library on a NANO which replaced the dead IPOD which maybe can be used to restore the replacement PC.
I don't recall setting up Icloud and vaguely recall backing up to itunes but can't confirm that my library is completely backed up.  Itunes tells me that my Ipad and a PC are authorized for Icloud but I don't recall setting that up.  I can assume that the PC that is Icloud authorized is the one that died.  If I have to deauthorize all, will I errase my library?  If not will I have to restore my nano and Ipad and the replacement PC? How can I confirm that my library is backed up/in the cloud?
My Ipad shows cloud icons along whith what appears to be my library.
Given this info, what is my best option to restore my complete former Itunes library to my PC.
    Thank

    Many thanks lllaass,
The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.

  • HT4847 Can I have multiple users's family devices backed up to the cloud e.g. 2 iPhones and 2 iPads under the same iTunes account

Just got a second iPad for the home.
Can I have multiple users's family devices backed up to the cloud e.g. 2 iPhones and 2 iPads under the same iTunes account?

Yes, but it's not usually recommended to share an iCloud account within a family.  If you do, any data you sync with iCloud will be merged and you, for example, will end up with each other's contacts and calendars on your devices.  Also, any action taken on one device (such as adding or deleting a contact) will be replicated on the other devices.  You will also all be sharing the same 5GB of free storage for all your data and device backups.
Normally it's best to use separate iCloud accounts for each person's devices.  This will keep your data separated, and allow each person to have their own free 5GB of storage.  You can continue to share the same iTunes ID within the family; the ID you use for iCloud does not need to be the same as the one your use for iTunes purchasing.  (Each person should also use a separate ID on their devices for iMessage and FaceTime to avoid getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.)

  • I previously had an iPad 4 but have now got the Air.  Everything was backed up to the cloud but my various photo albums do not contain all my photos.  It just says downloading but it never happens.

I have just upgraded to the Air but am having trouble with my photos.  Everything was backed up to the cloud before I set up the new iPad but many of my photo albums are empty or contain only one or two pictures and it says it is downloading but nothing happens.  I upgraded from a 4.  I have had all the iPads and have never had this problem before.  Can anyone help please?

You got it with that same apple id thing. You can use different apple id's, but then they will not sync. Apple does allow as many free apple id's as you want, but they are in the business to make money.

  • I ripped a new CD to iTunes and backed up to the cloud. The songs are already on my iPhone 4S, but I can't get them on my iPad. I already connected the iPad to my laptop and selected "Sync with the iPad over Wi-Fi". On the iPad I forced a Sync. Help!

    Try deleting and redownloading by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • How can I delete previously itunes synched photos from my ipad 3 now that I use the cloud instead of synching via mac/itunes?

how can I delete previously itunes synched photos from my ipad 3 now that I use the cloud instead of synching via mac/itunes?

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer, and on the Photos tab de-select those folders that you no longer want on the iPad - they can't be deleted directly on the iPad. If you no longer want any synced photos on your iPad then you can select and sync just an empty folder.

  • I have successfully updated my iPad, but after nearly 36 hours of backing up to the "cloud" received message saying backup could not be completed. I even purchased more GB's! What do I do now?

  • HT1657 When I rent a movie is it on my iPad or does it stream from the cloud when I watch it?

When I rent a movie is it on my iPad or does it stream from the cloud when I view it on my iPad.

It is downloaded to the iPad's Videos app, rentals (and purchased films from iTunes) are not streamed.

  • How can I restore a desktop iCal calendar from an iPad backup copy? The iPad is routinely backed up to the computer and still has the calendar on it but I cannot get it to display on my desktop.

One of several calendars was accidently deleted from the desktop. It is still present on the iPad and backed up to the desktop. Additionally, the iPad version can no longer be edited, copied or moved.

    Thanks for confirming my approach.
I have tried your approach. I have a calendar with the most recent and future events; it is visible on all appliances; and, it syncs to the cloud without issue. I think I will wait for a very rainy day to transcribe five years of past events.
BTW, the corrupt calendar cannot be deleted from the iPad using any normal appoach; additionally, the events cannot be edited or modified except as described above. I will follow up with Apple but this calendar predates the iCloud and apparently there are known issues in moving those calendars to the cloud.
I tried restoring the calendar folder from Time Machine. It loaded initially, at least for the month I was watching as it loaded, and then deleted it again. So, the calendar I want to display still exists but is not accessible.
Thanks for your time and help. If I learn any more from Apple, I will pass it along.

  • My new used ipad will not let me have the cloud

I bought a used iPad when I register for the cloud it says maximum amount of accounts. I want to use the cloud?

Apple puts a three iCloud account limit on every device. There is no way to get around this. from what I have read, this is done in order to limit the amount of free storage that any one user can have. You cannot do anything about this. The limit is tied to the device itself - not to the user ID on the device.
Buying used iOS devices can save some money, but you just never know what you can be getting into when you decide to purchase previously owned devices.

  • How can I delete movies from my iPad that it thinks are in the cloud?

I noticed that I was running out of space on my 32 GB iPad Air running iOS 7.1, so I looked at my pictures and moved them to iCloud and then deleted most of my un-used apps. This did not help in the gaining back a ton of space. So I looked at my videos. I have purchased content from itunes through the apple tv, and have watched some of it on my iPad. It is not clear to me if it downloads those files when I do this or if they are streaming like on my Apple TV.
Anyway, when I hit the edit button in the video section none of the videos display the little "x" symbol letting you know that you can delete them. Instead, all of them show the "cloud" symbol even the movies and TV shows I watched. So I then turned on airplane mode and went back to Videos. I thought no wi-fi = no connection to the cloud = list of videos stored locally. This is where it gets weird. The majority of the "Purchased" items normally shown with the "cloud" symbol were not there, however the videos that I had watched were listed and still had the "cloud" symbol on them. They even played in airplane mode like they were stored locally. The problem occurs when I go to delete them. When I hit the edit button I cannot select these videos, it is treating them as if they are in the cloud even though I know they are taking up space locally.
Is anybody elese having this problem?

Based on previous discussions and in this thread I went to I went to Settings > General > Usage > Storage > Show all Apps > Videos.  My iPad Air indicates no data.  Sync movies and TV are unchecked in iTunes.
iTunes is showing I have 12.61GB of data and 92 videos.
    Any other ideas?

How do I delete items stored in the cloud and clear it so I can get it working? It will not store any more photos. I cannot use it. It is almost full. I don't want to buy any more storage at this time. I delegated some photos on my iPad and MacBook and nothing changes.

    # Yes, if you go to accounts.firefox.org, sign out, you will now be signed out.
    # Sign back in, and you will be asked to save the password you entered.
    # This will save the password and autocomplete if you have this option turned on.
I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? But after storing the correct password you can manage any duplicate passwords in the password manager.[[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]]
