If the iOS app I create emails the user, can the user upgrade from the link in the email or is that against the guidelines?
I want to create an iOS app and for a variety of reasons (subscription, multiplatform, etc) I can't use the Apple app-store payment sytem.
However, if the user creates and account with my iOS app and we then email the user at a later date. Can they upgrade from the link in the email, or is that against Apple policy as well?

i am faceing a file download problem too..........
i am protecting jboss application,,,,using apache, and jk....
all work fine except for open a file(word,excel,txt,etc).
Disable the policy domain, everything goes just fine. microsoft file dialogue opens,you can open the file directly, or save it to your computer........
Enable the policy domain,, you can only save the file to your computer(file content is also correct),,,but cannot open it directly.it says the file path could not be found......but if the word/excel application is already running, you can open it fine...
PS:not a computer issue,,,every computers faceing the same problem

How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.
First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
Today I deleted an email services I no longer need. Now when I go to the notes app I no longer have any notes. Is there any way to get my notes back. I have the first iPad running iOS 5.1.1
Ah, well, then the notes are probably gone. Did you save any of the email from that account on your computer? The notes might be there if you did.

The new ibook app and ibook update is designed for iPhone 5 operating system. When my iPhone4 recently updated the ibook app, it created many problems using the ibook to download and read my books. Can I get the previous ibook app back on my phone.
Check your trash can on the desktop. The old version is automatically moved to the trashcan. You should be able to move it from the trashcan back to the Apps folder within the iTunes folder. The update that was pushed out was for iBooks to work with iOS 7 not iPhone 5. iOS 7 was released today.

As major software releases go iOS 7 is amazing? Many requests for support found on these boards are solved via advice related to How To Do Something. Many times the advice is right out of the User Documentation provided by Apple. If someone were to compare the number of critical issues reflected across these posts vs. most other major releases from any major vendor ...iOS 7 is excellent.

How do I add a photo to a pdf form via the iOS app? I need to fill out a form for work using field observations and photos. I can easily fill out the text portions of the form but I'm unable to add the photos from my phone. Is this possible?

Regarding Automation Of The iOS App Compiled With Enterprise Program
Hi,
We have to automate the iOS app, compiled with `Enterprise Developer Account` build in `Adobe Flash Builder Environment`. We have checked the provision profile attached with the IPA file and the value of `getTaskAllow` is set to `False`, so it seems that the app is build with `Distribution Profile`.
As the app is developed from Enterprise Developer Account, so we are able to install and run the app in real device, but `Appium` as well as `Instruments` is unable to debug it and showing an error "Permission to debug <BUNDLE ID OF APP> was denied. The App must be signed with a development identity (e.g iOS Developer)".
So, is it necessary to build the app with `Developer Provisioning Profile` and mentioning the UDID of the device in the Development Provisioning Profile, so as to debug the app via `Appium` or `Instruments` ?Yes. I can export Distribution certificates and Distrubution provisioning files and Flash will then export the .ipa file without issue. However when I go to install the app it seems to go over to the iPad and then I get a failure notice on the iPad. I am wondering if I am installing it incorrectly or if there is some step I'm missing. I am dragging the .ipa to iTunes to install it. If I export both the cert and the provisioning files as Development files the app goes on the iPad without issue, however it will expire in a couple of months so that is not what I want. I recently found this link http://www.adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/distributing-enterprise-ios-vi ewer-apps.html which leads me to believe I have to distrubute the .ipa differently, however I was hoping someone had seen a similar tutorial for a Flash ipa. Hi,
Currently, Adobe Reader mobile products (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support digital signatures. But you can add handwritten signatures (as annotations) to PDF documents.
For digital signatures for legally binding documents and contracts, I'd recommend the desktop version of Adobe Reader or Acrobat Pro/Standard. Alternatively, you can use Adobe EchoSign for e-signatures.

You can't go to System Preferences>Desktop&Screen Savers and change the display? Try it and see. I've never seen that problem.

I have the iphone 3GS and recently downloaded the iOS 5.0.1 software. I can open my apps; however, after a few minutes (sometimes seconds) I am booted out of the app. Any ideas?

Have I ruined an activation for the iOS apps?
My Ipad air 2 crashed and I got a new one from Apple. I had the CC apps installed on it. May there be some problems (now or future) with the activation. I know I can have the Mac-apps on two computers. I don´t know how its is with iOS-apps or if I have ruined an activation. If so, what can I do to avoid it?
The iOS apps are unlimited, even though they are tied to your CC account. They have no specific activation system.
