if you are lookin out for change of item texts ...
then use the function module ... READ_TEXT.
and 2 tables r used ... STXH and TLINE ....
double click on item data ...
goto PO TEXT tab ....
double click on text ...
from menu ...
goto header ... u'll get 4 fields that u need to consider ...
TDID
TDOBJECT
TDHEAD
TDNAME
ALL THESE U'LL FIND IN STXH
ITEM TEXT is stored in TLINE

Imitating the Predefined Text Item Details of Purchase Order in AddOn Form

Hello Experts,
I want to know if it is possible to imitate the Item Details features of SAP Purchase Order Form in my customised Form.
Means :-
In Purchase Order Form , when we enable the Item Details Column and while entering the data we double click on that column
then a Row Details Text window appears and we can enter the Summary Details or even we can select the Predefined Text
in the column .
The same feature i want to use in my customised AddOn .
How to do this one ??????

my client is asking to lengthen the field size of SHORT TEXT in purchase requisition. if they enter the long text, the characters are getting tranucated.

I think there is no configuration to change the field length. It is technical job, but needs developer key to change the std SAP field length. I recomond that donot go for this, as short text itself is 40 charecter length, there are so may text fields in TEXT tabpage. You can get these texts in PO print also...

Production order no is missing the Batch short text field in MSC2N T.code

Hi Guys,
I have some requirement in my project. I have maintained Batch management in my project.
When I create & release the Production order in CO01, immediately Batch number (Produciton order: Goods receipt tab) creates automatically by the system.
Also this same production order should be appeared in the Short text field in Basic data 2 tab in the transaction MSC2N.
But this production order no. is not updated automatically in the short text field in MSC2N.
Is there any standard settings available for this case?
Please help me the same.

Hi Mohan,
There is no standard link between Production Order and Batch Master Record, If your client needs the production order number in Batch Master record, short text field. we need to achieve it thro user exits with the help of developers.

Are you sure you increased the caller volume? This is only adjustable while in conversation. So, while you are calling you'll see a few icons on your screen and one of them is to adjust your caller volume.

How do you set up so that you can view the alternate text on an image when you hover over it like you do in IE?

Using Mozilla at present the alternate text for an image does not pop up when you hover your mouse over the image. This is what occurs in Internet Explorer. In Mozilla Firefox you have to right click, choose Properties and then you can view the alternate text. Is there a way to set up the mouse hover? Or is there a keyboard shortcut to at least view the Properties information of an image on a webpage quicker?

The title attribute is meant to show if you hover an image or link.

Table EKPO id Purchase order detail table,
write a select query on this table, if that particular material is ther in ekpo it means PO is done for that.
Take one internal table and select all materials from MARA table , then loop it
and for each material got the table EKPO.
select single * from EKPO where matnr = wa-matnr.
if sy-subrc <> 0.
append wa to it_table.
endif.

How to get the short text in tcode "msc3n" ( msc3n --> Basic data 2 --> short text.)?

Use FM 'READ_TEXT' to get this values.
Say for exampele my material is 1900001 and batch is 0000000517.
Then my parameters to the FM will be as follows:-
Text Name       000000000001900001    0000000517
Language        EN
Text ID          VERM
Text Object     CHARGE
This information you can get as follows.
Open the short text window in the text editor.
Here you can enter the long text.
In the editor Go to Header and you will find the details.
Please note that the text name will comprise of
Material
Batch
Plant
Stor. Location
if all the details are given.

Is it possible to create different font styles within the same text field?

The form I am creating is getting really complex because when different fields require different font treatments (bold, italic, different font size, different font) I have to create a seperate text box and get it to align with the others. This wouldn't be an issue in most cases but this form is really detailed and has many text boxes. Before I stuggle too much longer on it, I thought I would check and see if there is a way to make them all in the same text field. If not, perhaps I am trying to use Acrobat for something it is not meant for. Any recommendations on other programs I could use? Thanks

Thank you try76. I'm not sure if I did it correctly. As soon as I tick the Rich Text Formatting box it automatically changes the appearance of the text in the field (Helvetica Light to something like Helvetica Heavy) I can't seem to get the font back to Helvetica light or change the font size while the Rich Text Formatting box is ticked.
