I didn't think you could put a non-iPhone SIM into an iPhone. I thought it would cause a black hole to be formed, pulling all life into it.
But seriously, I gave my first gen iPhone (do we call it a 2G?) to my significant other, she took the SIM card from her cheap blackberry, put it in the iPhone, wouldn't activate. We had to go to the AT&T store and get a plan, etc etc. and new sim card. -
I bought a new Macbook Pro 13 inch in December 2011 and I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium shortly after and installed it on the computer. The other day my friend spilled his drink on my computer and it is now going to cost me $800 to get it fixed so I am considering getting a new one instead of getting mine fixed I'm not sure if the memory is still ok or not either. It didn't get that wet and Apple told me it is more than likely ok but there is no guarantee that they are going to keep the memory when they fix it. So I was wondering if I get a new one if I can install the Suite on the new one I still have the product key and serial number for the Suite. Or if I decide to get mine fixed and the memory is swept, then can I reinstall it on mine after it is fixed? If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You

i got a itunes gift card and when i try and buy some thing it asks me for my credit card details how does that work when i have £15 on my fone that i got on a gift card? as i am trying to buy a song and it is starting to really cheese me of now where it keeps asking for credit card details is there a way round it with out having to use a credit card?

Buying a series when owning individual episode, how does that work?
I'm thinking of buying a TV Series but I have already owe some of the episode. How will Itunes store charge me? Will it charge me the full amount, or figure out I have bought some of the episodes and only charge me for the ones I don't have? Or am I just better downloading each individual episode? You'll be charged for the full series, regardless of how many episodes you may have already purchased separately.
Depending on how many episodes you have already purchased separately, you are probably better off, financially speaking, to continue purchasing remaining episodes separately. I don't think there is a significant discount in price for any series purchase over the total of individual purchases, but you should be able to calculate that easily yourself.
You can consider the series purchase for next season.

Delete/Erasing shows from my AppleTV? How does memory work?
I am completely confused as to deleteing material and freeing up memory as well as how things will automatically delete.
When I have shows listed in my menus (My TVshows, My Movies) sometimes there is a little trash can next to them to erase, and other times that option is not there. I have no idea why this option is appearing and disappearing.
Is there any system (like a DVR) that once you have watched shows the AppleTV will make room for new shows by deleting old shows? I dont think so, right? I think it just creates a list in the "downloading" menu of stuff to download once memory is free.
Is there some kind of alert when the memory is full that you need to erase shows to make room for new shows?
I did another post about this, but in case someone can answer, once you delete a show it is gone for good, right? If I want to download it again, it says I have to "rebuy" it.Do not rush to factory restore before looking into things further, especially if your unit shipped with software 1.0.
AppleTV1 was never designed to run completely standalone - it is linked at the hip with iTunes.
AppleTV1 was designed to be synced with media from iTunes which appears in My Music, My Movies etc.
If it's full and iTunes is running you will also see content under My Music etc that will stream from the computer on demand provided itunes is running (unless you turn this option off in iTunes).
When configured to sync with iTunes AppleTv goes into an Auto sync mode where it decides what to copy over to the unit - so unwatched material before watched etc. You can customise this if you want under various Device Settings tabs displayed when selecting an AppleTV Device in itunes (left hand side) - do you see an icon? If not it may not be synced to this itunes.
Later the ability to purchase directly arrived too, but the idea was for purchases made on the unit to sync back to iTunes to keep the devices 'in sync' and to allow for backups. The trash can I believe only appears for items purchased on it. so you could manually delete them.
There is also a streaming only mode to connect additional itunes libraries on other computers 'My Shared Music etc'.

Previously if things you bought on the unit did not sync back to itunes and AppleTv failed or there was a problem with 'reverse sync' (my term) that prevented it working you might not be able to salvage that content and could not redownload it.
We need to know what software version you have - Settings>About (3.02 is the last one), and if you have the unit synced with iTunes still - does an icon appear in itunes under Devices (right click it and Transfer Purchases if you can to copy stuff over to iTunes bought on the unit directly).
Last year/early this year Apple has sensibly allowed users to redownload any previous account purchases from the itunes Store in itunes - ensure you have latest version of iTunes and navigate to teh store home page - on the right under Quick Links you should see Purchased - here will be a list of things you can redownload for free under that itunes account. The catch? So far movies only available for redownload in the US and not all studios are on board. Other content can be redownloaded in many countries, but if an item is no longer in the store or has changed somehow (think of a change in the product code) it won't be available. Check here to see what you could salvage by redownloading for free.
Factory restore will put you back to shipping software and delete any synced media from the unit - some say purhcases made on Apple TV remain if not 'reverse synced' but I would not rely on this unless it was a last resort to restore it.

I thought i was resetting my son's iphone 4 so that I could use it. But I seem to have erased his icloud/apple id and all of his data from his new phone too. His Apple ID doesnt work and cant be accessed as it now says it is disabled. I have tried the iforgot.apple.com website without success and have no idea how to rectify. I have requested a password change to his email address but that is not working either.
Please help?That sounds confusing. First off, don't be too worried. There's practically no way to actually delete an Apple ID or it's purchase history. You should be able to get to it back somehow. Secondly, that's likely something that you'll need to talk to a real person on the phone for since it likely requires you to explain that you need access on behalf of your son, (who probably just set some security questions or an email address that you didn't know he put in.) Just call the appropriate AppleCare phone line (800-APL-CARE in the USA, or see the link below for other countries) and tell them you want to talk about an iCloud account security question.

Lightroom has been installed on my Laptop with a DVD.
In the Adobe Programm Folder on my harddrive I do not find a *.msi file.
Any ideas ?Hello I was not sure where to find the right temp Folder. So I deinstalled the program and installed it again.
But with the same negative effect.
There are two ways for the update:
1) Within Lightroom: search for newer Version.
2) At the Adobe Website
1) Did not work

Works good, but not for movies.
You can buy movies, but you are going to need space on the device to watch them. You can only get that space two ways.
Clean out something else or buy bigger capacity iphone/ipad/ipod. -
