Iframe bg colour

Hi,
My web page has a black background. When I insert an iframe
the "empty" state is white. How can I change the background colour
of the iframe so as to correspond to the rest of the page.
Any help is much appreciated. Tkanks

How do you populate the iframe space? Have it call a default
page that has
a black background, then if you're changing content by
mouseovers, clicks or
links, before you call them, the background should be black.
If you're just concerned that fro a second or two the iframe
is white before
it's page loads, there's not much you can do for that. Load
any page with
any color background for the first time and your browser will
display a
white background just before it reads the background color of
the page.
The time will be longer for larger pages and people with slow
connections,
shorter for small and fast.
It's the nature of the beast.

Page Transparency doesn't work in IE 6 or below, so change
the background of page the iFrame is referencing to black (not
transparent)...this should fix it.

White background colour in Iframe?

Hi everyone
I hope you are able to help me with this problem I am having:
I am working with an Iframe, where I would like the
background colour to be a specific colour, relating to the colour
next to the Iframe.
The colour sorounding the Iframe is this #E6E3D2, the
background colour of the html-page to which I am linking in the
Iframe is the same colour, but nonetheless, the Iframe keeps
providing a white frame surrounding the content-html-page.
I have tried to make the Iframe and content.html page the
exact same width, but that just give me a vertical scroller + the
white frame.
This is what I mean:

Are there anyone out there, who can explane to me (in very
slow and easily understanding phrases ;o)) how I can get rid of the
annoying white background colour?

No, I haven't uploaded it anywhere yet. Not before I can
solve the problem.

Impossible to create a transparent background page to insert into an iframe

Hi,
I am trying to insert a page created in Muse inside another page by using an iframe in an HTML inclussion. I want it to be transparent so the background of the container page shows thru. The problem is Muse always gives a background color to any page it does, so the iframed page background is no transparent.
My iframe code is:
<iframe src="biografia2.html" width="630" height="566" seamless frameborder="0"></iframe>
And the biografia2 page loads its corresponding CSS file that begins with:

background: #D9D9D9;
If after exporting the site I remove these lines in the CSS file, the iframe appears transparent.
This lines are generated because in the Muse editor, when nothing is selected, so you have the page properties in the toolbar, the last control is the colour of the background of the browser, but you can't set this colour to null, so the page always has a colour. I think this is a bug in Muse that should be corrected.
Until then, the only solutions I can see are removing the mentioned lines manually after exporting the HTML or creating the iframed page without using Muse.

In order to achieve this, you need to open your page biografia2.html in Muse and then Right Click and go to the Page properties.
There in HTML for head section you need to insert the code :

background:transparent !important;
</style>
It will override the styling and the Background will be transparent for that page.

Snippet, iframe not playing the game. Flashskins player. What's the Path?

I'm having snippet flash player problem. Searched around ALOT and seems like I've tried everything. I'm sure I haven't though. Maybe someone can suggest something else?
So iweb 08, trying to embed a flashplayer, using an iframe.
I have my files on idisk in SITES, same place as index.html. Took me ages just to get that right. BTW is it?
I am trying to use a flashskins flashplayer in iweb. On a g4, runing tiger. The guy from flashskins told me to enbed a iframe that will point to my files, cause I just could'nt get it to work by putting the flashobject file into the snippet. They suggest this code

So my Q is..
what's the correct path to my files.?

or something else?
And.. is everything else I'm doing correct. It's giving me a heart attack...

I don't mind about background colour. I want to keep it fairly simple so it actually loads for people. The main goal is for the music to get to ears.
SO I need to change my page to white? Bummer. Yours is black though. Ok I'll try that.
And, are you saying IE won't play flashskins at all?
So should I scrap that idea and use an object perhaps?
I should say that within iweb the iframe appears with a message +"NOT FOUND" "The requested URL was not found on this server+" And shows the address I pointed to web.me.com/myname/Web/Sites/mediaplayerws.swf
What a puzzle this is turning out to be.
Thanks for you time. I read your whole site last week, loved it. It got me into this caper, after years of putting off learning a web design program. I know so many music programs and the like that the last thing I needed was to learn another language (program). But your site showed me I can get something simple, tasteful, and effective. Mini-DVI to S-video adapter and no colour on TV screen

I just purchased a mini-DVI to S-video adapter for my MacBook. I want to connect it to my TV through my DVD/Video player.
I do get a nice picture on the TV and I can manage it in the screen settings panel, BUT the TV-screen doesn't show any colour, just black and white. Why?
I've tried several settings in the Preferences panel, but no luck. What to do?

The cable is brand new and I've checked it with a mulitmeter. It's OK.
I've also heard that this is a fairly common problem with S-video and I got a tip to try the composite video instead. It worked beautifully, so now I've got nice and crisp video in full colour on my TV!

Follow up to frozen mac... strange colours on screen?

hi everybody.... my screen has just had a funny turn.
red and electric blue appeared replacing some of the colours of the images i was looking at... (black being replaced in part)
web page, then screen saver, then iphoto... checked display in preferences... clicked again on imac and it went away. my question is this the start of my display or graphics chip failing??
and could this also be related to my screen locking up... freezing. I been getting "ghost" blocks of pixels... sometimes from a open web page or folder icon coming thro' or replacing part of a image. hard to discribe... its almost like the display remebers another part of the screen.
any tests that I could do to see if its the graphic side of things or is a visit to the Aple store.
any ideas ...

The eMac has been running fine since posting this and completely passed the Remember memory test. I also tested it by filling the memory up by opening many apps and it didn't crash at all there either.
The eMac didn't come with a hardware CD sadly, so I can't test it that way!
I feel now it must have all been due to me not seating the memory correctly.

Different coloured text in one Textbox

Can someone PLEASE help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to know how to have different coloured text in the same textbox.
My application has text being inputted into the textbox every 5 seconds from 2 different sources. I want to differenciate the text by showing the user 2 different colours for each source.

Acording to the first post it also shows data, so it is a GUI component. i never sow a textbox.
JTextPane can show data in different colors. also JTextArea can.

ICal: only one colour in year view

Hi, my issue is that my different calendars (Red- college, green-work, blue-holidays), all appear as yellow when viewing iCal as year view. When viewing the calendar as weekly and monthly I can see which calendar is which, but in year view I can't. This means that I see a huge block of yellow and can't differentiate days I'm in class from days I'm on placement, or days I have exams from days I am on holidays.
Please help!!

Fufidus, I have the same gripe and I know what you're talking about.
I have about four different calendars (Work, Family, national holidays and a shared calendar 'Leave schedule'). Each has its own colour, and I would expect that when I look at my various events (some stretched out over weeks and months) I should be able to see that colour representing the respective category in the year view. This would make sense and allow me to differentiate between the different categories over the year planner view and therefore have a good overview for the year. This is important for me as I need to plan my schedule between work and family at least 6 months in advance and likewise with my colleague.
What actually happens instead, is that all those different calendar categories all show as one colour, being yellow highlights, which doesn't help at all. It's confusing, especially if I'm trying to collaborate with my colleague or show the year view to my wife. We cannot distinguish any of the events on the year view unless you click on that day. The four categories just merge as one colour on the year view. Spots where two events overlap become red.
A picture is a thousand words so here is a snapshot. Tell me if this would make any sense to you....
If you switch back to month view, then the category colours appear as they should.
I hope the iCal developers could take note of this issue if they have not already done so and perhaps improve on this in the next update. I would be most grateful. I don't really fancy having a third party app as I'd like to keep things simple and keep to one OS X app that can sync between devices.

Trying to fill a shape or change text colour-it is always grey instead of the colour I picked?

I have been working on a file and whenever I have a couple of shapes and some text. When I try to change the fill of the shape or change the text colour it is always changing to grey. It will let me pick a colour, but the box at the bottom(foreground/background box) is always grey as well. Please help.

Change the colour of events in iCal

I need to change the colour of events/appointments in the Mac iCal. I have imported all of my Outlook calendar via google sync and all my appointments are now just one colour. I have my medical appointments coloured in orange so they stand out each week (I have many) and all my personal events a different colour, and my volunteer work a different colour so that I can see at a glance in week view what I am up to. Looking at one week with every appointment in one drab colour is not nice.
I notice that different calendars are different colours, but I dont want separate calendars as I need to sync with google to share the calendar with Android phone and iPad.
Please can you let me know how to turn this feature on. Many thanks.

Click calendars at the bottom of the page the click on the i symbol for info and then you can select the colour you'd like.

Ideas for a colour-based overview page

Does anyone have any good ideas of how to create a page that is an overview of a production facility? It would be based on 1 or 2 tables, updated once each minute, and would show the status of each of 176 production units. Each unit would need to show 2 or 3 bits of information: they could all be colour-coded or all except one, which could be numeric. Ideally you would be able to click on the unit to go to detail pages on that unit. The colour codes could be simply colour or could be icons; there are probably advantages in each.
Any thoughts on how to construct something like this?
I should admit that I am still quite new to ADF. Using 11.1.1.2 at the moment but maybe 11.1.1.4 in a month or two.

If I have my iPhone 5 replaced at a Apple Store, can I have the colour of the device changed?

My iPhone 5 is faulty as its battery is overheating. I was thinking about taking the phone to an Apple Store for a replacement. Will I get to choose the colour of the phone or will I recieve the same colour?

It might help to think of the Apple Store Genius Bar in the same way that you would think of an auto mechanic's service bay. Imagine that you have towed in a disabled car to have it fixed. When the repair is done, the mechanic hands you the keys to a different model with a different engine and different option package. Great deal right? As I'm sure you can imagine, real life does not work this way.
You will only drive out with the same model that you towed in. If you want a different model, your solution is not in the service department, but on the sales floor. The Apple store is no different.

I am trying to give as "c://Document and settings/username/desktop/filename" but its throwing runtime exception as Invalide URL.
Please let me know how to find out the path of my HTML fine to link in to Iframe.

Upload the file into KM and metion the file path in your inframe.
To upload the doc into KM
Add the content management role to your user id
Content management -> explorer -> documents -> folder -> new -> upload
