Im having problems with my iphone

Hello,
First and foremost id like to express my extream dissatisfaction with my current Iphone 4, i brought it at a local store over a year ago (8 or 9 month ago) and since day one it started presenting problems.
First problem was everytime i conected the earphones the music would sound distorted and squeeqy, it got to the point, i would plug in the earphones and couldnt hear anything at all. I was told this was a common problem to plug in and out the earphones various times to make it work.
After trying to fix it, with no success i decieded to go on using the iphone just by listening to everything in speakerphone. One day i was using facetime and my iphone froze, i restarted my iphone believeing it was a problem with the network connection and when trying to re open my camera the lid would stay stuck and the app would not open, i was able to use the camera via instagram and other apps, but the cam would never open on its original application
After beeing extreamly fustrated i called the apple support and explained to them i had done a full factory restore and my iphone camera would still stay stuck in the lid. The awefull support team for apple told me like...well there is nothing we can do your iphone is out of warranty, even though i had recently purchased it and had POP (proof of purchase) on my behalf. I decided to take matters into my own hands now that i was "out of warranty" and apple wasent going to do **** for me, i took my phone to a shop repair, (notice i payed 462.93 US$) for this i still had hopes to fix it. They opened the iphone and where able to change the "'flair"' or whatever it is you call it. I had my camera fixed and my earphones, about a few weeks ago THE **** PHONE doesnt detect any wifi hotspots unless i stand really close to the routers, and about 4 days ago i have a message that says NO SERVICE, its really wierd cause i pay very expensive for my phone line, so i called my phone service, and their seemed to be no inconvinience with my line, i tried my sim card in another iphone and it seemd to be having perfect signal. So i tried a reseting my networks settings, that didnt work, and now i did a factory restore, and it still says no service. Im so dissapointed with apple and iphone, the only reason i have not changed to samsung is becuase i have a Macbook and was looking forward to purchasing a IPad but it seemss as if throwing this "smartphone" to the trash would do much better, the apple phone suppport is the ****, support ever, calling my little brother works better. Apple has no interest in helping their customers, and getting their issues resolved. I work in a harddrive company and anytime one of our customers calls in whith a complain we do our best to give them world class customer service. With all the billions apple receives a year they should take their time and hire some personel or improve in making their products a little better.  i    I have no idea what to do to fix my problem and im sick and tired of waisting so much money trying to fix a cellphone which is apperantly NON fixable, this makes me want to **** apple and move on with something that might work just a little better. Sides the fact i pay alot of money purchasing all the gadgets for my iphone still nothing works. Its a very big shame i didnt pay attention when they told me iphones would give me this much trouble and not buy a samsung.
Please remind me to never recomend iphone to anyone ever again!

try replacing the sim card after that it needs to be replaced and since you had some one else open up the phone you would lose the out of warranty replacement price and have to buy a new one at the full retail value

If your phone was purchased in the US, yes. Otherwise, no. And, you only need the phone, nothing else.

  • I was having problems with my iPhone 5s. Was able to get another 5s. In the process of setting it up, but it is taking forever ... and it seems to be frozen at one particular place.

I was having problems with my iPhone 5s (couldn't receive iMessages or emails). Cell company tried "fixing it" but to no avail. They ordered me a repacement 5s. Trying to set up, but it is taking forever. Seems to be stuck in one particular spot. It's at the stage with a black screen, white apple icon and a bar underneath. The bar is is just a fraction complete, and it has been stuck in this spot for almost an hour. Tried to restart it but it went to the same spot and froze again.

    BOB we need you urgently
Perhaps Bob will see this thread, he is the professor in these cases.
You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
    1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
    2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect.

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
    Restart..  Reset..  Restore...
    Reset your phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release the buttons...

  • Hi, im having problems with my iphone it would always be showing up "No Service" even when I get my simcard out, when i turn airplane mode it would switch to " Searching" and then go back to "No Service", i have tried restoring several times, but nothing

Hi, im having problems with my iphone it would always be showing up "No Service" even when I get my simcard out, when i turn airplane mode it would switch to " Searching" and then go back to "No Service", i have tried restoring several times, but nothing has changed. I must say that my iphone was working perfectly until the last months my battery began to die all from a sudden, so my phone got turn off really frequently, so then i ordered a battery and changed it myself so when phone was on.. it had this problem..    im desperate here

No I haven´t take it to Apple Store, i think I will actually. My iphone was jailbroken and ulocked with gevey sim, but when this failures began i decided to restore it, and I did preserve the baseband, but when I took it into one of these "Places" they told me it would be a good idea to do a clean restore and see if this fixed the problem so I upgraded my baseband, and right now my iphone is freshly restore, no jailbreak no nothing.
Btw yes something like a year ago my screen was replaces by others not by apple, but I didnt had any issues after this.. until today (a little more than a year later).

  • I am having problems with my iPhone 4 with connecting. It shows Searching? I was told turn off using the two buttons and let it come back on by it's self. Doesn't help very much.

Having trouble with my iPhone 4 connecting. It will say searching but have tried the suggestions that was given that I press both buttons and let it shut itself off but still having problems. Any suggestions?

Is it a wi-fi or cellular connection that isn't working?  If its wi-fi and other people/computers/phones can connect check your settings.  If its cellular, are other people's phones (on the same carrier) working in the same location? If other people can't connect then it is likely a network problem.  If others can you may need to reset/restore you iPhone.

  • Anyone having problems with there iphone 5 battery life been very poor

I have had the iphone 5 for 4 weeks now and the battery life is very very poor at first i thought it must just be how it is....was dissapointed tho from fully charged to flat in 4 hours with little use or going to bed and waking up with the battery life going down 17%!!! but then 1 day i charged it fully and it never went down for ages, over 24 hours and it still had 25% this lasted for about 4 days then all of a sudden back to been rubish, i sent it in to apple who returened it without doing a single thing (apart from scratched an dented the bottom!!) it was exactly the same ..poor.....but then last night i charged it took it off charge at 6pm (english time) and now at 00.42am the day after it still has 11%....clearly ther is a fault somewere!!! has anyone had the same experience or got any tips for me please?
    cheers, Danny

Yes a lot of people are having this issue it's from the ios 6 update. Some users are reporting battery drains a lot after updating their device
There have always been a lot of battery problems posted about in these forums following each and every iOS update.  Personally, I believe that the battery really isn't discharging any faster, it is just that the charging circuit is confused and needs to be reset. I always perform a setup as a new phone for major updates, for example iOS3 to iOS4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6, which should be a 'reset' for the charging system, but I do a simple update for point releases--6.0 to 6.0.1, etc.  I have never had a problem with battery performance when performing the full update as new, only when I did a 'normal' update for a point release.  If I perform an update with a restore from the old backup after a major update the battery problem did appear.
After every iOS point update I always do a full reset--home and on/off buttons held down until the Apple appears--three or four times over the course of a couple of days.  I allow the phone to fully charge overnight every night.
This has always resulted in 'normal' battery life after one or a few reset cycles.  By 'normal' I mean that a fully charged iPhone, with email and other notifications enabled and set to push, and no particular attention paid to battery conserving techniques, will discharge to about 89% over a 10 hour day.  If I make a few phone calls and surf the web a bit then the level has fell to 70% or so, but unless I heavily use my iPhone 5 it doesn't drop below that point.
Prior to performing the resets the charge level would sometimes drop into the 50's or 60's or even lower in a few hours without using the iPhone.  This problem 'scenario' has happened with every iPhone I have ever owned and I've owned all but the original iPhone.
As always, YMMV.  I make no claims as to its usability for anyone else.

  • Anyone having problems with recharging iphone

Frist off, I am on the whole elated by my phone....i too have gone the distance trying to find a good solution to carrying all the different tools to get email, outlook contacts etc. Though its not perfect I believe in Apple's marketing skill to continue to make what needs improvement happen.
that said, it seems that the recharge in flakey...does not seem to always take a charge even when all the right lights seem to be working. anyone else seen this? would love your feedback. john

  • TS1630 i am having problem with my iphone 4S speaker. apparently, i can hear ringtone and alarm, but i cant seem to play music on speaker. HELP!

i dont know what happened to my Iphone. I cant play music on speaker anymore. and when i pressed on volume up and down buttons there is no show of increased or decrease sound. i need help. but i can listen to music and adjust the sound while i m on earphone. and i can hear ringtone, alarm and all. just the problem with playing music. THANKS!

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

  • Is anyone having problems with the iPhone 5 motion sensors?

I having a problem with my phone when it comes to reading movement, the compass doesn't work when it asks to tilt phone to calibrate and in some games it doesn't read when I tilt the phone. I read that apple had a lot of customer complaints about bad motions sensors not be calibrated correctly and I was wondering if anyone else is having/had this problem and what was done to fix it.

I've not had this problem.  Thanks for asking.
