Im using iphone 3gs from last 7 months..its my 1st exprience with iphone...But sad to say i'm having lot of problem regarding signal loss and NO service...
I refreshed it with new vrsion also...Resets many times...BUt no use...
PLease fix it out...
had the same issue, if you take it to your local apple store they should replace it, or contact your carrier and they can repair the phone. It seems to be an issue mainly with iphone 3gs and o2 if your in the uk.

I am using iphone 3gs and have accidentally clicked "update" to software version 5. However, after I failed and all my data was lost. I manage to restore back to my previous situation. But all my apps has been gone. How can I get back all my aps? I know I can get it by itunes but there are a few problems as below:
1. I have jailed break my iphone and I never purchased any apps from itunes
2. I have some important infomation saved in one of the apps called "awesome notes". How can I get it back? Is it store inside my computer? if so, how can i restore?
3. I am using window 7

I saw a message on screen : the activation server is temporarily not in use, the iPhone not activated.
Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it or after a few minutes and try again. -

You'll have to read the terms of your warranty for India and see what your availalbe options are.
There are plenty of service providers in India, so that's not a problem.
Your location isn't a problem, what likely happened is your out of warranty period or you purchased the machine through another country and it got registered with a different warranty period. Once Apple discovered your in India, the warranty for that country is applied.
For instance in the EU the warranty period is 2 years by law, so Apple has to honor that. But elsewhere it's 1 year and perhaps that's why you were denied replacement. Not because your from India, that the warranty period for machines in India is one year, like it is for everyone else.
I guess you could fly to the EU and then make a warranty claim from there, but it's already too late, your machine and conversation with Apple was already recorded.
Now if your indirecting asking folks here to service your machine by shipping it to the EU, you better watch yourself around here.

Not sure but the possible problem can be that the game developers doesn't support 3GS models, thus the game is not optimized for your model. And the crashes are the result of too complex software for your model. Just my 0.02

I'm having the same problem as maujmasti.
After upgrading my iphone 3gs to ios 6.1.6 my wifi connection stopped working. When the network requires a password it displays a message that the password is incorrect and when it's an open network it says that it wasn't able to connect.
I formated my iphone in attempt to fix the problem. It worked for a while but a few days later I could not connect anymore. The weird thing is that the wifi connection started to work again for another day or two but after that it stopped for good.
When I tap on the blue arrow beside the wifi name, all the spaces are blank (IP adress / subnet mask / router / DNS ...).
I've tried a lot of things that I read on the forum and nothing works.
I could try to format my phone again but the problem is that I can't do an iCloud backup, not via wifi neither via iTunes. -
As a part of my Daily Reporting Activity; i have to send 35 SMS everyday. Can someone suggest me which software is suitable for my usage as it's tedious job to forward the same sms report 35 times. Please, kindly assist me with following challenges. I use iphone 3GS. I have used the phone for almost a year now. My iphone 3GS cannot connect to the itunes store. Each time I connect my phone to my Laptop through itunes. A message will automatically come up which states that "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknoown error occured (306)". It also make a footnote which states "make sure that your network connection ia active and try again". When I click the button labeled OK just below the messages, another message will come up which reads, "A new iphone software version (5.1) is available for the iphone software. Would you like to download it and update your iphone now?". It gives me the option buttons such as CANCEL or DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE or DOWNLOAD ONLY. If I click on DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE or DOWNLOAD ONLY. Another message will appear which states that "The iphone software update Server could not be conted" With a Footnote that states "Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connections is active, or try again later.
The above challenge has continued for more that 3 months now. This challenge has hindered me from installing some applications like Facebook Application for iphone, LinkedIn application for iphone and a lot of other applications. Each time I try to get these applications my iphone 3GS while inform that my current ios version 4.1 cannot work with the application, that they requires at least ios version 5.1 or above.

I am using iphone 3gs since last 4 days. Till yesterday night it was working fine and i have connected this phone for charging . Morning there was apple logo in the screen and every 1mte (approx) it is blinking. I could not restart the phone.Plz help . Sounds like you have corrupt backup data, if this occurs from one phone to another. Try restoring the phone as a new device, without a backup. Try using for a day before installing any other apps, etc. See if that improves the battery life. Then try syncing back applications a couple at a time. Something seems to be locking in the processor which is draining the battery.
Do you live in an area where there are Apple Stores? If so, try making an appointment with the Genius Bar to have the device checked out. -

Since the 3GS, any firmware you restore is checked with Apple's servers for approval. They generally stop approving installation of older firmware soon after releasing an update in order to help curb jailbreaking activities.
In the past, although Apple does not officially support downgrading, it was often still possible with some workarounds, but following this change, it is usually impossible. -
