IMac properties on windows to render 3d max scenes

I'm an interior designer and I work a lot with rendering images in 3d max program, When rendering large scenes with a normal property PC it is heavy and it makes me slow in producing my work and sometimes it shuts down ad everything is simply gone , as known the program is compatible with windows only , I work on my macbook pro and use photoshop and other programs and I'm very comfortable with the Mac software. I'm thinking on getting iMac 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16Gb with an external Thunderbolt storage,
I need to know does the properties work same on the Macintosh software as booting to Windows, to work fast with the 3d max renders and do you advice me to get it. Please help me with any information you got, the cost is very hight and I cant affort if its a mistake

I mean is 16Gb RAM enough and will it all work on the bootcamp when rendering or do I need to get the mac pro for more RAM ?

IMac 2013 and Windows 8.1 Connectivity

Up until I installed Yosemite, I could connect my new Windows 8.1 computer to my iMac external hard drives. ( I have 5 of them hooked up to the iMac) and could access all of my files.) without a problem. Now I can't access not 1 one of them. I can get into the iMac from the Windows computer and see the hard drives, but as soon as I click the hard drives the green line runs across the screen and none of my files appear. I have gone into the settings to make sure I have sharing turned on and everything seems to look ok. I have searched the boards and haven't found an answer or maybe I have over looked one. Is there anyone out there who has some insight to my problem? Thanks in advance. Dave.

What error did you exactly get? What does "it won't work" mean?
If you can't setup the account, let me know in which step you have the problem.
If you can setup the account successfully, is the issue that you can't send/receive emails?

Use the command "Properties" in Windows Explorer to unlock the file

I'm getting this error where, when I start Photoshop, I get a popup saying "Cannot load Photoshop because the file is locked or you don't have the needed privileges.. Use the command "Properties" in Windows Explorer to unlock the file". I unlocked it's access to everyone for the 64-bit and the 32-bit version, still doesn't work. The only way to make it work is by going in Program Files>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64-bit) and manually starting it as an administrator.
Everything was working just fine until today. Please help!

If this worked before, and you have made no hardware or software changes you might want to reset the preferences.
Start photoshop and IMMEDIATELY hold down the Alt + Ctrl + shift keys. It is a little tricky but keep trying until you get a reset window.

It sounds really unlikely though... You have to type in your password twice when setting up so you either:
made the same typo twice
the caps lock was on
You held down SHIFT during one of the letters
the keys have relocated because of different language keyboard layout
you simply forgot exactly what you typed.
Are you aware that passwords are case-sensetive? also, when using punctuation in passwords be aware that language localization of the keyboard can cause relocation of certain symbols like $ and € and * and ' which may make it impossible to retype the password correctly, if you are unaware of the correct way to type a certain puntuation symbol.

HELP....Almost threw imac out the window....Htlm files...iweb gone.

OK, here is the scoop. This awesome imac took a nose dive and crashed. And I lost my iweb project that I worked soooooo hard on. I opened up iweb and nothing, it was gone. Two weeks 9 hours a day out the window. I came close to throwing this awesome imac out the window. So, I went into idisk and
found the file or files. It seems there are 12 little file with the page name and letters (Html.) I found out all these files made up the one project I was working on in iweb. How in the world do I get these (Html) files back into iweb so I can continue to work on it? Please help ASAP.....Thanks ...Rich

You can't. Unless you have a backup copy of the Domain file which created the site, you will need to recreate it.

If you return the memory card to the helmetcam, it may choose to reformat it before use; back to some FAT-16 or FAT-32 format many of these third-party cards and cameras use. Unless you were going to use it for Mac OS X and format it with HFS+ or in a partition map for Mac data, etc.
If not, the easiest way to reformat the card may have been in the camera itself. I've formatted several kinds of camera cards, drives, USB flash drive, and others. The means varies with the intended purpose. Sometimes the default is the best; since it is platform neutral if the device is seen by both players.

File Browser, properties, library window will not show up

I'm using an old version of Motion 3 and my File Browser, properties, library window will not show up even when I click on the icons and/or press command+2,3, or 4 . Seems to be some kind of settings glitch as Motion works fine when logged in under another user. Any thoughts.

Plist files contain instructions for recording and executing tasks associated with the the application or function that owns them. They can and do become corrupted. If you look in the username/Library/Preferences Folder you can usually guess what application or function the .plist serves by analyzing the file name. In this case it was the com.apple.iCal.plist file.
Proper identification of the appropriate .plist file is not always so obvious. When an application malfunctions, removing the associated .plist file from the preferences folder to the Desktop is often the easiest first troubleshooting step. Then log out/in or restart and re-evaluate the performance of the application.
A new default .plist file is automatically created in your Preferences Folder after you remove the recalcitrant .plist and initiate the log out/in restart sequence. You can expect default application behavior and you will have to reset some preferences. If the application or function returns to normal after removing the .plist file, it will prove that the original file was corrupt, and you can now safely trash the .plist file which you placed on the Desktop.
If the application or function is unsatisfactory with the new plist file, the original plist file which was placed on the Desktop can be safely returned to the preferences folder. Just allow the system to replace the newer plist.
If you are having problems with any aspect of OS X, experiment with deleting the appropriate .plist file. Plist corruption is not uncommon and .plist file deletion often cures many problems. Too many users try intricate solutions first and end up complicating their minor problem.

Csound1 What Ive been trying to explain is that I have been running bootcamp, I open the app where the first screen is the introduction, i hit continue, the first time I select "download the latest windows support software fromm Apple" then I return and instead select "Install Windows 7." Then hit continue. The third screen is where I "Create a Partition for Windows" I set Windows to 80 gigs then hit INSTALL. As stated before Bootcamp cannot find the install drivers saying "The installer disc could not be found." My windows software is on a USB drive not a disc, I tried using a virtual disc reader to make it appear that the windows software was running on a disc, still no luck. What I would like to know is how to install windows on bootcamp.

Is there a possibility to access and modifiy the properties popup windows as used for instance in the Oracle ADF faces demo "Tag Guide > projectGantt Demo > 'click on task' > 'left mouse click' > 'Properties'".

For my Project Gantt Application, we need more variables as avaible in the present 'oracle model'. The minimum requirement is the comparability of to a MS Project.
We would like to modify the additional variables in the mentioned properties popup. Do you see a possibility to achieve this goal?

Moving iTunes library from an iMac to a Windows Laptop running Windows 7

Hi All
My daughter has a problem. She is selling her iMac and has to move her music library of 3,000 tunes from her iMac to her Windows 7 laptop. She does not have either her iPhone or iPod any more. How does she do this.
Please help.

Well, if it worked the first time, your library must have been nicely consolidated into the itunes media folder.
The file structure between Mac and WIndows is completely different. iTunes can't make sense of the Mac file paths in the itl database. However, it should revert to looking for everything in the itunes media folder location, if your daughter's PC has that itunes preference turned on.
If it's already enabled, turn it off, save the changes, and then turn it back on.
If all the items are in that itunes media folder, there shoudl be an "Organizing files" message while it looks for them again. If they are not in the media folder, it won't find them.

I may be misreading what you are trying to do but you don't import libraries via the import window. You use File->Import->Library..
If this doesn't resolve your problem post back with more detail of what you are doing and what is happening.
