Image Adjust icon missing from tool bar

I've got the latest Keynote running on my Macbook, but it seems to be missing the Image Adjust icon, the one that sits right next to Inspector icon on my desktop G5 running the exact same version of the program.
I can get to image adjust through the menu bar going to View>Show Adjust Image, but on my desktop computer, there is an icon right in the Keynote toolbar.
Can't for the life of me determine why it doesn't present itself on my laptop. Any ideas? Many thanks, Bob Krist

Try right clicking on the toolbar and choose Costumize Toolbar (or via the View menu (it should be the last option in the View menu) then you will see a array of icons which can be placed on the toolbar as you see fit.
and maybe the window is to narrow to be able to display the icon and it falls of at the end, there then should be an '>>' icon, which when pressed should show all the icons that dont fit.

  • Masking Icon missing from Tool Pallete

Downloaded 30 day trial version of CS5. Read about Masking in Help. Don't see a Masking Icon in the Tool Bar and can't select Source and Destination for Mask. Please Advise.

OK, I found the Masking Icon by right clicking on one of the other icons. However, I am still having problems selecting a mask source and placing it in a destination. I am following the Help instructions explicitly. I have used other graphics programs before and this one just does not seem to be that intuitive. Can someone send me a set of instructions for a simple mask selection and placement so I can see what I might be doing wrong?

  • Why is AirPlay status icon missing from menu bar?

After updating to Mavericks and installing/configuring a new AirPort Time Capsule (APTC), no AirPlay icon was present in the menu bar of my Mac. I updated my Apple TV3 software and configured it to the new APTC network. An AirPlay status icon appeared in the menu bar for about 1 day only, and then disappeared. In the Apple TV settings, AirPlay is "On". On my Mac>System Preferences>Displays>Display>AirPlay Display menu (lower left) shows a greyed-out "No devices detected". My AppleTV light is on. Is there a known problem with APTC, or am I missing something?

Cycle power on all of your devices (turn On first your 3rd party router then Time Capsule, then mbp and apple tv). Make sure that your MBP and Apple TV are connected to the same network.
When router mode settings on Time Capsule are set to Bridge Mode, then router is resposible for distributing settings to all of your devices and could have some issues with it. Simply cycling power might resolve your problem.
Some routers might require to be off for a bit longer (up to even 10mins). Try it.

  • Creative Cloud icon missing from menu bar of my Mac.

I got a message saying there was an update, and when I clicked it the icon went away. When I open the app manually it hovers on the menu bar, greyed out, then disappears.

Same here. Got it up and running again by finding the app in the adobe creative cloud folder on my hard drive // acc // creative cloud. Double click.

  • Missing Crop Tool from Tool Bar

I was using the Crop Tool in PSE 9 Guided Editing and now it is gone from the Tool Bar.  I have to go to the Image pull down menu to find it, and when I do, part of the image is already partially cropped.  How do I turn that off and return the icon to the Tool Bar?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Right click on the re-compose tool and choose the standard crop tool.

Have you done a sampling of all users, or only those users that don't like it? While I don't mind it, I don't think I even noticed it at first until someone pointed it out.
I note that if you get Info on an item the icon is still colour so this is some OS level (we know best) overaly that's turning everything bland and boring, it would be nice if Apple let the user actually chose this rather than force it upon them ... just like Microsoft I'm sad to say.
Microsoft? The '90s are over. But regardless of what decade you are living in, Apple has never been too big on end-user customization of the operating system. Apple has always discouraged the use of "themes" whereas Microsoft will allow people to do pretty much whatever they want.
The file system icons are still the same as they have always been. The new monochrome icons are clearly a design trend more than any change to the underlying operating system. If you turn off the expanded view in any file save dialog (other than in Safari), you can still see the old, glorious, multicoloured icons. If you really wanted to, I'm sure you could change the system-level images and make Finder and Mail look just like they used to.

  • Airplay Icon missing from iTunes 11.0.2.26 (PC) and Genius Sidebar

After upgrading to iTunes 11.0.2.26 my Airplay icon is missing. I've tried the simple fix that reportedly works where you switch to mini player, see the Airplay icon and then it stays when you switch to normal mode.
Firstly the icon does appear but it is grayed out and only pops up a volume control. It does not detect, display, or allow you to select output devices, Second, it is still missing from the normal size window.
This has been tried with and without restarting iTunes as well as reinstalling iTunes. I'd go for a downgrade but then it fails to work with the new iPads at all. I discovered that with my first iPad mini where it required an iTunes upgrade.
    Genious Sidebar
I figured Id just downgrade to 10.6.3 to get the genius sidebar back afterwards. WRONG, it will not synch or do anything without the newer versions of the iTunes software. Genius sidebar was the best thing about the software and they kept taking it away, brought it back for a few versions, then took it away again. It was and remains my favorite way to shop for new music. The remaining so called genius functions are just plain lame.

  • Multi File Find and Replace FAR missing from tools

I have RoboHelp x5.0.2 and I have always used Find and
Replace at my previous employer. I have started with a new company
and the RoboHelp FAR is missing from Tools. I know you can Add a
tool if you know the path, but I have no idea where to look.
    Some background:
We use Source Safe (VSS) to check our files in and out.
I have verified that all of the files are NOT read-only.
    HELP!!!!

Maybe you are mixing up something. RoboHelp includes a tool
named Multi-File Find and Replace. This should indeed be situated
    on the Tools pane.
There exists a tool called FAR, which, among other things,
offers a similar functionality. FAR is shareware and
    not included in RoboHelp.
    Greetings

  • The icons on the tool bar to the right (Bluetooth, time, volume etc) are missing. How do I restore them? Do I have to use my installer discs again?

I started up my iMac G5 this morning, and all the icons to the right end of the tool bar are missing, namely time counter, bluetooth logo, volume slider etc
are missing. Do I have to re-install the startup disc to get them back?

For Bluetooth, Time and volume, go to System Preferences and click on them there, select "show in Menu Bar" you will then see them in the Menu/tool bar again.

  • Partial Missing main Tool Bar icons or headers OSX 10.8.5

OS X Version 10.8.5, MacBook Air 13 inch Mid Oct 2013. Processor  1.3 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory  4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024 MB
My main tool bar shows menu items on the left side OK. i.e. the Apple icon, Safari, File, Edit, View etc or Finder, Edit, View, Go.
But on the right side of the main menu bar, the following icons are missing "Time Machine, BlueTooth, Wifi, Volume" i.e they show as a blank space on the menu bar.
The following are visible "% Battery, Day and Time", but then again "Spot light" icon or shortcut is missing. I must mouse over the grey blank space in order for the drop down menu to appear.
Also in Finder most of the menu headers are grey and blank with no icons or instructions, I again have to mouse over them to find out what they control.
I'm not sure what caused this or how I can "reset" so that the menu headers appear again? I've tried software updates, this doesn't work. It's been like this for several months.

"The most basic information that SMART provides is the SMART status. It provides only two values: "threshold not exceeded" and "threshold exceeded". Often these are represented as "drive OK" or "drive fail" respectively. A "threshold exceeded" value is intended to indicate that there is a relatively high probability that the drive will not be able to honor its specification in the future: that is, the drive is "about to fail". The predicted failure may be catastrophic or may be something as subtle as the inability to write to certain sectors, or perhaps slower performance than the manufacturer's declared minimum."

  • How can I disable the Email icon in the tool bar from Windows regisrty?

Does anyone know what key and value in the registry enables\disables the email icon? Is it even a registry key? I know that it can be done manually via the UI. Can it be done using Adobe Customization Wizard 8? I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 8 and Reader 4 installed on a Citrix server and would like the default value for the email icon to be set to disabled or even hidden when users open a PDF file.

The values in this registry key change what tool bar options are enabled:
    \Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\8.0\AVGeneral\cToolbars\cFile\cInternalButtons

  • Webutation icon missing from browser

Greetings all. I just noticed today that my Webutation icon is missing from my browser. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the addon, and it still doesn't show up. I'd really like to have it back. Any ideas on how to restore it? Thanks!

Try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.
    See Re-initializing the plugins database:
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
    See "Corrupt extension files":
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end of the Search bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also delete possible addons.json and addons.sqlite files.

  • Icons Missing In Menu Bar

    Hi All,
I upgraded from Yosemite 10.10.2 to Yosemite 10.10.3 tonight and am having a few issues.  The biggest issue I am having is half of the icons are missing from my menu bar.  There are blank placeholders for them.  I've included a screen shot.  It is also doing the something in Finder and Safari.  I haven't tried any other applications.  Additionally, my MacBook Pro has been really laggy/dragging since the update.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate.
    Thanks!
    Kyle

In Finder, press Shift + Command + G. Type in /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras, right click on one of the menu files, and click Show Package Contents. Open the Contents folder, and then Resources. You should see a .pdf file that looks the the menu bar icon. Do you?
Another suggestion, just as a test, would be to boot into Safe Mode, and see if you see the icons then. To boot in Safe Mode, restart the computer while holding the Shift key.
