Image Processing in Bridge lost PSD originals HELP!

I am somewhat new to using Adobe Bridge CS4 super frequently, I have been processing batches of images mostly using the 'Image Process' function under tools>photoshop>image processing. I was using it to watermark my photos and size them down. It worked great, did everything I wanted it too and made it's own JPEG folder with all my processed images. HOWEVER I just discovered that when I process them it is somehow is taking the original image and flattening it so it looks like a JPEG even though the file still thinks it's a PSD file. The size is small and all the layers are gone, basically it looks EXACTLY like the JPEG file I'd just made but it's the original file and it's still a PSD (in theory!). I've been racking my brain trying to figure out when I'm doing wrong here! Been all over the internet trying to find a similar situation and I've had no luck. Any thoughts? I'd really appreciate the help. These particular photos are ready to go to print, but I've got my watermark on them and can't exactly remove the layer that isn't there anymore! HELP

Yes I was converting images from PSD to JPEG with the image processing but I was running an action (within the same dialog box) to make the file sizes much smaller for easy upload to the web? Does running an action affect the original as well as the processed images?

Batch image processing from bridge cause photoshop to crash

But first it goes ahead and processes the images selected in Bridge. All of them like even over a hundred at a time (great time saver!). Then displays a message for each image in one error dialogue saying, "Sorry Photoshop couldn't process the image. . ." for each image.
It also saves the images to the a folder above (in hierarchy) instead of the folder I select in the batch dialogue. I've tried using Batch process from within Photoshop and get the same result as image process from Bridge.
While I am able to do the processing I need, it's annoying to have the force quit Photoshop each time, and Then to move the processed images where they belong.
I am on a G5, 4mb ram, OSX 10.4.11. Photoshop CS3 #10.0.1, and bridge CS3 # 2.1.1.9.
I usually do the updates when I'm alerted, but haven't heard of anything recently.
Any ideas?

OK - maybe this will shed some light
Try changing the size to something very small.- see below
Try changing the compression. Not affected by the level of Quality (2% 50% or 100%) - all fail to load
Try changing whether a color-profile is embedded or not. Not an option AFAIK in LR Export
Try changing if the metadata is minimized or not. Not an option AFAIK in LR Export
Try changing if the JPGs are exported relative to the source image or some fixed location. Exported to a specific location.
If I use the Image export resize option it loads OK (resize to 1000*673 from 3916*2634).
Older exports (from LR2.3 and earlier, of the same size image, and source DNG are OK)
A centre crop from the Image (1205*691) is OK. A marginal crop (2 edges) (3838*2552) is OK whereas a very slight crop at (3693*2614) FAILS
The camera is Leica M8, images is in Leica RAW format (DNG).
It appears to be function of Image export size (reduced either by Cropping or by 'Resizing on Export'
Looks like a bug in LR2.6

Help for a beginner creating a 2d image-processing suite in LabVIEW.

I am a final year student and currently seeking any advice from experienced engineers with regard to my project.
The project is to create a LabVIEW based image-processing suite, which would be able to import 2d arrays of data from microscope, plus other information (scaling, date/time, sample info) and perform the following functions:
Visualisation – 2d & 3d, Cross-section Profile Analysis, Histogram, Fourier Transform, Auto-Correlation, Copy, Print, Save & Export, Colour Palette Edit, Zoom, Manipulate.
Having not used LabView previously, any examples or information you may have would be of extreme use,

Most of these tools are readily available in LabVIEW when you purchase the IMAQ Vision toolkit. You just need to learn how to use them and set them up. In your case, I would strongly recommend starting with Vision Builder. You can learn how to use a number of these tools, and it may actually be sufficient for your project without writing any code. It can generate LabVIEW code as well, so it would get you started on your program.

Bridge Image Process fails with Lumix GF-2

We are unable to get image processor in Bridge to allow us to make raw image processing changes to our GF-2 images. Instead
of opening in Camera Raw Processor, it just opens the images. How can we change this?

No Actions are running; neither CS 5 or 6 work with the Lumix. When I drag or double click in Bridge, the camera raw processor opens and processes allowing me the option of making processing adjustments; but I cannot get the script to run by using (Bridge) Tool>Photoshop>ImageProcessor on multiple prints from Lumix. This is the message I get and there are no prints in the designated destination folder.

Problem: Image processing into subfolders
I have a folder with several subfolders containing JPG files.
I want to reduce the file size by reducing the quality.
I use the following to do this:
Tools | Photoshop | Image Processor
Bridge doesn't appear to have the smarts to traverse down into the subfolders i.e. one has to do each folder individually.
Is there a way to have Bridge image process down into the subfolders? Thanks in advance.

This is a job for Photoshop not Bridge, Bridge can not alter the JPEG settings.
This Photoshop script should do what you want if you are talking about normal JPEGS and not Save for Web.

Problem using Image Processor from Bridge

I have been using the Image Processor to process photos from Bridge for quite some time. However, I recently received an error message when I try to initiate Image Processor from Bridge and I have not been able to find any help topics that address my problem: I select images in Bridge to process, then click "Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor". Photoshop opens and the familiar Image Processor dialog box opens. Item 1 in the dialog box says "Process files from Bridge only" and has the number of files I have selected in parenteses. I select the file type and other settings in #3, and preferences in #4. When I click "Run", I get an error message window that says: "Script Alert. There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop". The Image Processor works if I open the files in Photoshop first, then run it by selecting "File>Scripts>Image Processor" and tell it to process all open files.
Would someone be able to help me with this problem?

Usually when it worked before and not now, and you have added no new software or hardware I recommend resetting the preferences. Hold down the Ctrl key and click on the Bridge icon to start. You should get a reset window with 3 options.

Using Image Processor from Bridge

I'm trying to use the image processor from within Bridge. I have done this several times in the past, as recently as last week.
I have some files selected in Bridge. I select "Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor" and the dialog box opens. Step 1 indicates that I have files to process (10 in this instance), and I have JPEG selected as the file type to process. When I click "Run", I get an error message that says "Script Alert" in the title. The message in the window says "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop".
I opened the same 10 files in Photoshop, and I was able to run the Image Processor on them while they were open in Photoshop. I'd rather not do this unless I have to.
I haven't added any new programs or plug ins since the last time I used the Image Processor from Bridge.
I had the same problem in early June, and the solution suggested then fixed the problem. I'm experienceing the same problem today, and the same solution doesn't seem to be working now.
The previous solution was to reset the preferences by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the Bridge icon to start. A reset window with 3 options popped up. Now, w

Read you original post again and your last post and now I am confused.
You said you reset your Bridge preferences, yet in post #1 you said " I hold the control key down and click on the Bridge icon, I don't get the reset window. So with this said you have not reset the preferences unless you have gone in and deleted the file. The Bridge Icon is the one one the desktop that you click to start Bridge.
BUT, in last post you say you have a Mac. So to reset preference believe it is Cmd key.
No matter how you do it you need to get the reset window with the 3 reset options.

Colour washed out when using image processor in Bridge CS6

Hi there
I hope somebody can help please?!
I am editing raw files in Camera Raw 8.2, then using image processor through Bridge CS6 to save them as both jpegs and tiffs.
I am finding the colour on the saved files is coming out a little washed out and faded.
If I open them individually and save them in PS6 as jpeg and tiffs, the colour remains vibrant and true to the original raw file.
I have thousands of these files to go through and don't have time to open each one individually in this way so I am desperate to automate this process while still retaining the great colour in the original shots.
Can anyone tell me why the shots are coming out this way and help offer a solution for me please?

Shortcuts for Batch and Image Processor in Bridge CS6

I use Batch and Image Processor all the time, and I'd like to use a shortcut.
Can you tell me if there is a shortcut or how I can program one?
I set up shortcuts for those two commands in Photoshop, but they don't work in Bridge.
I remember from the time I started with Photoshop and had Deke McClelland's book with his set of shortcuts. There was a shortcut that worked with image processor, but it was just a set you did install and no explanation. When I moved to a different computer and a newer version of Photoshop, these keys got lost.
Is there any way to automate Batch and Image Processor?

There is no way to economically batch process in Bridge without having to go thorough sub-menus.
I'm sorry you can't get it to work, but on my system it works flawless.
Testing a bit more it seems you don't need to use a unique shortcut at all. I also tried to use the shortcut for Batch I created in PS itself to get the Batch window to front for running actions on open files. For me that is [control + Cmd + B] but feel free to find an other one.
When I discovered you don't need the unique shortcut at all I used the same shortcut for Bridge CC. . Also created [Control + Cmd + i] for the Image processor.
Both started without problems.
To extend I also created both same shortcuts for Bridge CS6. This also was working correctly, off course, having only PS CC open using the shortcut in Bridge CS6 it auto started PS CS6.
So can you specify a bit more about what OS you are using on what computer (I have OSX 10.8.4 on a MacPro 2012)

Problem loading images in adobe bridge html photo gallery

Can someone please, please help me!? I can not figure out why the images will not load in my adobe bridge html photo gallery cs5. I am not getting any error messages in Firefox and just the x in internet explorer.

I created the gallery as a html file for compatibality reasons due to accesbility issues with flash, and followed the general insturctions. The gallery folder is called wetlandsgallery and it is loading everything style-wise except the images themselves.
I then made the gallery within an iframe so it would be more similar to the other pages on the site and contain the menu bar - but no change on the lack of images!
Having looked around online I think it might be something to do with the bin folder?? Does this have some secutity somewhere thats protecting the images? I am also unsure if I filled in the FTP info correctly when creating the site as I was getting the message "could not connect to FTP server" so I had to copy over the file from my hard drive to the server provider files. All the tutortials say to load your gallery and no mention of what to do when it won't connect to FTP server.
If you could also tell me how to edit the image sizes that would be a great help too, as any size changes I make to either the bin/large or bin/thumnail images makes no difference in what appears in the preview?
Help would be very greatfully appreciated as I am pulling my hair out trying to figure it out with no sucess and a possible bald patch!

I can see this image in my IE8 (some people in front of a "wetland". But still I've to assume (as Murray already did too), that there is something wrong with your upload and the pathes.
4. Allow me to make one brief point, we talked about here on several occasions: please don't use spaces in image, folders or filenames. I'll quote Murray: In general, URL encoding spaces does not lead to problems. ... Whatever the details are, though, using spaces in filenames or paths is a bad practice which WILL lead to problems.
5. What concerns the image sizes, maybe later (I didn't understand your question correctly I fear). There is still my language barrier, I'm sorry.

Image processing with imaq vision with 2 webcams on the same computer

Hi,
I'm currently trying to set up 2 usb webcams (logitech quickcam for notebooks pro). I want to be able to have them both run simultaneously and do some image processing with the images that I get from both cameras with labview and imaq vision.
As of right now, I'm having trouble getting both cameras to run at the same time. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

The USB IMAQ driver will not support running 2 USB cameras at a time (I believe it is a limitation of the DirectShow interface). You could open one camera, acuqire an image, close the reference to that camera and then do the same for the second camera.
If you need simultaneous acquisition, look at possibly moving to 1394 cameras or analog cameras.

Hi,
you can use LabVIEW to do image recognition. Here is an example of the basic functions to do so. You can also search some examples with the Example Finder.
This little program looks for an image in a folder. He analyses each picture, and makes a comparision between the searched picture and the pictures in the folder.
