Images are no longer scaling with (img {max-width: 100%; }) in css as of update 34.0.5 in firefox, this still works great in IE and chrome.

My website worked great until firefox update 34.0.5. Now the images will not scale to fit the box anymore. I am using flexbox so that the site scales to fit the size of the browser. In css I set img {max-width:100%;} and this would make the jpg files automatically size to fit the box they were in, but not anymore as Mozilla has really screwed this up with update 34.0.5. My site still works great with IE and Chrome but 70% of my web traffic is using firefox so I really would like this to work in firefox.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

How can I delete topic index keywords that are no longer associated with a topic?

I am trying to clean up the index of an older Robohelp project before it becomes part of a merged webhelp project. I do not want to include any of its index keywords or topic keywords. I've managed to remove most of them, but I have a group of troublesome entries that refuse to go away. In fact, they cause RH8 to crash. I am running Windows XP.
Looking at the code in Visual Studio, it appears that an instruction is pointing to field which contains "zero". (see image below)
I have tried creating a new index and deleting the old index, but RH just keeps adding these topic keywords (in bold typeface) to the new index. If the keywords are no longer associated with a topic, where is RH storing these disassociated keywords? If I open the .hhk, it is empty.

Not sure why RH crashed when deleting a portion of the topic keywords manuall

You can no longer sync via iTunes. That method of sync was removed (and the 1000+ post thread is arguments over things tangientally related to that).
You need to sync via other means than iTunes, then.
One option is to use iCloud. If you sign into iCloud on all your devices, and then make sure your calendars are in the "iCloud" section on your devices, they should sync.
If you don't want to use iCloud, you could use Google calendars, they operate much the same way (but may be less reliable).
Or if you use Exchange for work, you could sync that way.
Or if none of those are acceptable, you could install OS X Server and set up the calendar server on your local network and use it to sync. This is fairly straightforward "for setting up a UNIX calendar server" but it's not trivial and beyond the scope of a forum post to explain it all

status update -- I tried a lot of other things but finally solved the problem after I removed all the groups from mac address book. (thank-you to my son Ben)
FYI -- along the way I tried doing the reset sync history, which deleted all contacts from the iphone. I initially thought that was a good thing, until I discovered that nothing I tried after that would put the contacts back on the iphone. Next I restored factory settings on the iphone and set up as a new user, but that didn't work either. Or maybe it did; maybe deleting the groups wouldn't have solved the problem if I hadn't deleted all contacts and reset the iphone first.

If you have lion and iPhoto '11 (latest version is 9.2.1) you can set up and turn on iCloud there and if you have IOS 5 on your mobile then your mobile devices will sync with your Mac

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

A PPC G5 cannot run any version of OS X beyond Leopard 10.5.8.
You should be able to find a Leopard retail (black) install disk on eBay. A grey update disk is machine specific and won't work.

1. Sync wasn't intended to be used in that manner. You would be better off carrying around a USB Flash Stick with Portable Firefox for use on "strange" PC's.
2. You could open the "Library" {Ctrl + Shift + B} and highlight all those bookmarks and then delete them all at once. But that would also delete all the other bookmarks, and it isn't foolproof. All another person would need to do it to '''''restore''''' a bookmark backup file that has your bookmarks. Beyond that, a new Profile could be created and then the current Profile deleted; but that's "messing with" someone else's computer - an action that is worthy of terminating a friendship over, IMO.
And if that "public" computer was set up properly, Sync should have been disabled.

IWeb and .Mac images are dark when viewed with PCs--how to fix?

I do my Photo editing in iPhoto on an iMac or an iBook, and the images look fine. Once posted to a .Mac or iWeb page, they still look fine on my Mac monitors, but when viewed on PCs and PC laptops, they are MUCH darker... The sites look terrible. The brightness on the nonMac monitors is turned up already.
Is there something special I should do to get images to appear correctly on nonMac machines?

I didn't follow Barbara advice (OK, I'm slow, but I couldn't quite figure out where the gamma setting was), but I did use Falcon01's suggestion to use the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile.
I then reviewed and re-edited the relevant pictures. In this case, they are pictures of my girlfriend's condo she is trying to rent (mostly slightly off-white walls (aren't they all?) and dark, rich parquet flooring.) First, the pictures were darker, and I could adjust the exposure to much brighter, which helped a great deal. It did, however, introduce lots of color artifacts (pinkish blotchy walls). I drastically reduced the saturation which (good) made the walls look fairly normal, but (bad) made the rich wood flooring look drab and grayish. For this purpose, this will be satifactory--the pictures now at least are bright enough to not look dark and dank, and people can see what the rooms look like.
When I try this on important pictures of people and such, this approach makes me nervous. Most pictures will look awful if I boost expsoure and drain the color out. How do others handle this? Thanks in advance. BTW, here is the revised web site if interested.

New images are refusing to synch with my online catalog

I'm using APE 8, and it has stopped updating my online catalog, although I'm nowhere near out of space.
The new images which refuse to synch have the backup/synch icon with the circling green arrow in the southwest corner.
When I right-click the Elements Backup/Synch agent in the taskbar and select "Backup/Sync now", it does nothing. When I select "View Backup/Sync Status" it says "Your desktop photos...are in synch..." But they're not. So I hit "Synch Now" and the gerbils run around for awhile, and then I get the same message (that everything is synched).
The visual indication that the photos are out of synch have now disappeared, but the supposedly synched images are not in my online catalog (bclayshannon.photosho.com)
What goes on here?

I have been faced with the same issuebut did not realize no sync was taking place until i tried to share an album....
I upgraded from PSE7 to PSE8.... I believe I have resolved the issue....
You specifically need to:
1) open Backup/Synch preferences:
2) set backup sync to on
3) open advanced settings and check off the types of files you want syncronized... At least the status now shows
synchronization is pending.
4) Make sure sunch is operating (turned on) Move pointer over icon make sure it says "Backup Synch is operating normally"
When I upgraded from PSE7 to PSE8; these preferences were I guess, reset to what product normally installs with.
Hope it help everyone who is experiencing the same issue.

Notes in a contact in OUtlook are no longer synched with my contacts on iphone

Hi I noticed recently that the notes that I make about a person in their contact in Outlook is no longer synched with the Iphone.
Does anybody know if there is a way to make this synch again?

What about the opposite way:
Create a test contact on iCloud, wait a few minutes, do you see it on the Mac?
In Mac's Contacts > Preferences... > Accounts > Is the iCloud account enabled?

My tpl file are no longer opening with TextEdit but with Stickies...Why?

The strangest thing just happened and it must be a coincidence or some sort of glitch. I recently tried an LCD monitor on my Mac (which incidentally I just found out first hand why NOT to buy inexpensive LCD monitors). I disconnected it, hooked up my Sony CRT again and restarted. Everything seemed fine but when I tried to open some files with the .tpl extension they opened Stickies but did not even display any text.
A while ago I had gone to the Get Info of a tpl file and set all files with this extension to open using TextEdit. Until now that has always worked fine. When I try to do the same thing again it keeps reverting back to Stickies as the default. I am able to change an individual tpl file but can not make the global change. I dumped my finder preferences but that did not help.
Does anyone know how to set this or how to correct the glitch that is not allowing me to make this change?

Here is an interesting twist. Before I do as you suggest let me throw this out to you.
The tpl files are part of a php forum package. I have a clean copy of the forum so I can reference it and I work off a copy. I decided to take a look at the tpl files in the original folder. Not only are they all showing TextEdit as the app to open with but they are showing TextEdit in the list with (default) next to it.
When I look in the folder that contains the copy, which I am working with and editing, those files show Stickies (default) and do not show TextEdit in the list. I took a look around my drive for other rograms that also use tpl files and they were all fine. So for some reason it would seem that the problem is just inside the one templates folder and nowhere else. I was able to select all the tpl files, then control click and select Open With..., selected TextEdit, closed the Get Info window and all the tple files in the folder were changed. When I go back or restart and look they keep this setting even though TextEdit is not listed as a recommended or default app.
So even though this is working and I can open my files I am bothered by this and the fact that the same file type (same extension) presents a different list and handles this differently from other files of the same type in another location.
Does this make sense? Ever see this happen before? Even though I was able to make the change do you still recommend that I reset the LaunchServices database and re-install the COMBO update?

Pictures previously included as part of an email are no longer there. If I forward the email to another web browser the picture is there. This just started happening after my last upade and I do not know why.

For some reason pictures that have been included in emails as part of the email are no longer there. This seems to have happened after my last update of firefox. If I forward the email to another web browser on my computer the picture is then visible as part of the email. The pictures I am talking about are not ones attached for me to open but ones that are included as part of the email.

Basically, fonts are code. The copyright applies to the code. If the product you distribute doesn't include the code, then the copyright does not apply to it. That's why embedding has to be dealt with specifically, because embedding fonts in a document means including the code or parts of it in the document.
