Je n'arrive pas à corriger la vitesse de déroulement du montage projet. How can I fix the speed of the projct to be the same of the original?
Le déroulement du projet est plus lent, ce qui donne des images saccadées comme-ci il y avait un effet ralenti. Cependant le son demeure exact avec l'original sans décalage.
The project show pictures more slower than the original, but the sound is okay.

Is there anyway to have someone upload an image from their desktop to your finished project? + more

I'm using captivate cs5. I'm trying to make a web page with a captivate project where people can customize a design themselves. When people are interacting with my project in the webpage, I want them to be able to upload their own image from their desktop directly to my captivate project in the webpage just by clicking a button that will say "upload image," being able to place the image in a certain area of a slide, and cropping the image to fit that area. Can you create that button in captivate allowing them to do those things I've described? Also, is there a way to send a portion of a project slide in an email, possibly even converting a portion of the project slide into a jpeg file or other file formats? For example, say I wanted to send 375x375 pixels of a project slide that is 600x800 to an email, is that possible? If not, is it possible to even send a slide in the project to an email?
If there's no solution using captivate cs5, what other product should I use to fulfill the requests above?

Return order has more quantity than original order - one item

Gurus,
In one of the original sales order (VA01 tcode) having quantity as 1 (ie one line item) and then when return order is posted against that original order using order idoc .
Return order idoc has only one quantity for that item. But return sales order created with two quantity for that item.
Any way in our process Return order is created based on original order using original to return copy control.
This is only one order got affected. We never get such a scenario in our SAP system.
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated

Please check whether return sales order is really created via Idoc message. Go to sales order header and check the created by field under sales tab.
It seems that the return sales order is created manually, and second line item (extra item) is added manually before this return sales order is actually saved, so the change log didn't appear

2010 13in macbook pro wifi slower than original core duo 15in mbp.

hmmm...ive been noticing that on my new comp 2010 13in mbp that that wifi isnt as strong as my original 15in mbp.
when i alt-click the wifi, its substantally less and also the range drops off faster. i have a 2.4/5ghz dlink extreme that used to give me constant steady 300mbs connection. Now it seems as if i avg 150-250 with a RSSi of -57 sitting 10ft from the router.
Was wondering if this is due to the latest airport update.

Maybe you should take a look at your Firefox add-ons and get rid of the ones you don't really need. Also, you have two torrent items mentioned in your report. Downloading torrents runs the risk of bringing in malware.
Another thing to do as maintenance is to start into Recovery -- holding down Command and R keys together while booting up -- and using Disk Utility (bottom of the box that appears) to Verify your disk and Repair disk permissions.

Converted song sounds slower than original

I have a song in WAV format, and when I try to convert it using the feature in itunes to do so, the song sounds slower and the original and is listed as being more than 2 minutes longer than the original. I've never tried using the convert to MP3 function before, so I'm not sure where the problem might be.
What can I do to make it sound the same when I convert it to a different format?

That might be a problem, since 96 kHz is a very high sample rate--great for recording, but not usually used for final export. Maybe iTunes doesn't recognize it.
I looked in the custom mp3 conversion options in iTunes. The highest bit rate listed is 48 kHz. So it may be that if you had iTunes set to for "auto" sample rate (the default setting, which is supposed to use the same sample rate as the original file), it couldn't actually make a 96 kHz mp3, and made a 48 kHz file but didn't cut out any samples.
Can you re-export the file from your recording software at either 44.1 or 48 kHz? If not, you could try using either QuickTime player or, better, an audio editing application (like Peak) to downsample your WAV.

Lightroom 3 exporting issue: exported JPGs come out with much more noise than original edited files

My first post here so nice to meet everyone. I've been having some issues with exporting in Lightroom recently. It appeared to happen quite out of the blue. Sometimes when I export my edited .cr2 files as jpgs (in srgb), at a good quality (no less than 85), some of resulting jpgs seem to have exposure higher and/or a horribly large increase in the amount of visable noise. It seems many of the photos which this occurs in have pretty high settings for fill light, but even still, the noise is not visable in lightroom while editing the metadata linked .cr2.
I thought it might be the problem that I'm viewing the final exported jpgs in preview, but I also tried adding them back into the catalog and they look just as off. I just upgraded to 3.3, but it seems to be having the same issue. If anyone can please help, it would be greatly appreciated!

No sharpening at all during my export, Ian. Sometimes I sharpen for screen at a standard strength, but I turned it off when I started seeing the extra artifacts but the results of the exports remains basically the same with or without sharpening.
However when I import it seems my photos already have some sharpening on them in the develop module. The settings there are sharpening = 25, radius = 1, Detail = 25, masking = 0. I honestly rarely mess with the sharpening, so I guess I skipped over those settings during the countless hours I have worked with LR! But I assume those are normal post import numbers, correct? I never apply development settings during import, that's why I say that. Thanks for keeping up the conversation and brainstorming Ian! Anyone else also free to chime in.

Why does using AIFF Encoder use more space than original CD?

I import with the AIFF Encoder option, as I want the best possible sound quality. A Full CD uses 700 MB, yet when I import a full CD into itunes, it says that is is using more than 800 MB. How is this possible?

Using the AIFF/Apple Lossless encoder is different to using CDA or MP3 format.
This is like a comparison between digital and analogue.
Digital is about space efficiency - so, look at a CD - It's small right?
This is because they have only taken sounds within a narrower band-width than the band-width used on a record (vinyl) and they have also encoded it (it's like shortening 'male' to 'm' under sex)
Vinyl has a huge band-width (just compare a full-sized record to a CD) and takes every little detail of a song, every rich sound and keeps it as a value on its' surface.
This is the same as the AIFF of Apple Lossless format - they take every little sound and put it inside the file - which makes it high quality but huge!
I have compared sizes and AIFF of the same file is 10 times the size of the AAC.
The digital formats use maths equations rather than on/off values for sounds.
I would not use this format (AIFF or Apple Lossless) unless you were transferring from vinyl to your iPod and you didn't want much else because it is full of on/off values.
CD's have reduced quality of sound and downloads are limited to the speed of the servers for quality BUT if you still want good quality and small size, encode in AAC - It is better than an MP3 because AAC is 4 layers of maths instead of 3 layers in an MP3.
Remember though, there is no point in making a high quality file from a lower quality source - you are just filling your iPod with no noise!

How can I make a photo from two merged projects available for a book that I started using one project ? They merge but the book only allows me to access the original project photos even though the merged photos can be seen in the project ?

I have successfully merged two projects in order to add new photos for my book. The library available to the book which has 26 completed pages accesses only the original project library. Has anyone else had this problem ? It is frustrating to see the photos I want in the merged project file, but to have only the original photos when I started the book available in the book library.

That will work, but it is the long way 'round.
As Frank noted, Book Albums are just specialized Albums. Albums can show any Image in your Library, regardless of where the Album is located on the Library Inspector, and regardless of which Project contains the Image. You can put your Albums anywhere (in a Folder called "Books" for example). You can put Images from anywhere in your Library in any Album.
The easy way 'round:
- Make a new Book Album
- Select Images you may want to put in your Book. Flag them.
- Select some more. Flag them.
- Go to the "Flagged" container (listed near the top of the Library Inspector), select all, and drag-and-drop them to your Book Album.
- Repeat as needed, or just drag-and-drop directly into the Book Album.
Note that you can remove any Image from any Album (including Books) by selecting and hitting the "{Delete}" key. This _does not remove the Image from the Project that contains it, or from the Library.
Note, too, that once the Images are in your Book Album, you then put them in the Book you are creating for publication. The Book Album contains the superset of Images with which you populate the Book itself. The Book Album also holds the Book.

Exporting Multiple Images from Library - Resized CP4 to CP5 Project

I am getting corrupt files when attempting to export multiple images at once:
OS: Occurs on both Win 7 and XP
Source: CP4 project imported to CP5. Original CP4 project was captured at 1024x768 and later resized to 1024x738.
1. Open Library Backgrounds folder.
2. Select more than one background image
3. Right-click over selected objects
4. Click Export from the context menu
'Browse for folder' dialog appears.
5. Select a folder
6. Click OK
Files are created in folder, but are corrupt. When exporting the same images individually, they come out fine. Individual image export file size ends up ~ 2MB each. Multiple image export file sizes end up ~60kb. All are exported as .bmp (not given a choice when exporting multi-select).
Multiple file export works fine in a new CP5-native project.
I've reported it as a bug.

What version of Aperture do you have? This is simple with AP3. Fle -> Export -> Project as New Library. At the far end, Import Library....

Copy of original project (NWDS)

Hi,
Im trying to do some work in the NWDS, and Im having a problem. Im need to do some changes to one of our Adobe Forms applications, but I didnt want to work on the live version, so I tried making a copy that I can work on. But its not deploying.
I have:
     Verified that I can successfully rebuild, deploy, and run the original application/project.
     Made a new copy of the original project by making a copy of all the files and sub-folders in the original folder
     Edited the .project and the .dcdef files in the _comp folder so they contain the name of the new project
     Imported the new project into NWDS
     Rebuilt the new project successfully no errors I havent made any changes to the project yet.
     Tried to do a Deploy and Run of the new application.
This is what I get:

From the portal we want to fill data into tcode ZM01 in R/3.
In R/3 we have extended the tcode ZM01 with 2 new fields.
We have specified the 2 fields in WebDynpro, but when we try to fill data into the WebDynpro for the 2 fields nothing is transported into R/3.
I guess we miss to do something...
The WebDynpro screen is a copy of the original WebDynpro to tcode ZM01, and we have just modifed the screen.

if you have a backup of your catalog you can do the following:
1. Backup your catalog first
2. Restore your backup catalog to some location
3. Open your current catalog and select "files->import from another catalog".
4. Select your backup catalog and your lost images. LR ask you if you want to overwrite the current settings or save them as a virtual copy.
As an alternativ you can open your backup catalog, select the "lost" images and save the development settings as xmp sidecar fiels (using ctrl-s). Then open your current catalog, seletct the images and use "Metadata->Read Metadata from files".

Sir Churchill, I tried deleting one of the playlists from my computer (Playlist 130). The next day I checked my wife's computer and noticed that Playlist 130 was now missing from her computer as well. Is there a way that I can delete a playlist from my computer without it disappearing from hers as well?

How to return to my original project

I did realize a very simple project on fce 2.0.3, about 35mns just one clip after the other. Because of time I needed to burn a DVD as is: so I converted the project to quick time and saved on external drive the movie.
Now I want to refine the project. When I open the movie in fce I get a window ( slug) with the movie but no TL or viewer or canvas ( and they are not available on the task bar). I didn't trash anything ( knowingly) after I converted the project. Could anyone help me to figure out how to find where is my project ? and bring it back to the TL in order to be able to edit it.

Thank you Ian and Tom for your answers , What I did effectively is that I had trashed my original project ( which i was able to restore) and kept only, I guess, my exported project.
But Tom I looked at the icons and both versions have the same icon (the eye of fce). By "Q" do you mean the logo of Quick Time? By the way when I export do I have to use QT movie Or QT conversion in order to burn a dvd with I-MOVIE ?

Positioning an image in the same location on different projects? (CS5)

Is there a way to position an image in the same location on multiple projects aside from trying to use the rulers? I can never get them to match up evenly. They're close, but there has to be a way to make it match perfectly.

If you have a few to do, you can create an action so it will speed up the process.
To create this action.
(With the document open)
Start a new recording
File - Place - select your logo (tiff, png, jpg etc)
This will put the logo into the center of your document, press enter to comfirm the selection.
Select - All (or ctrl/a)
Layer - Align Layers to Selection - Top Edges (or where ever you want)
Layer - Align Layers to Selection - Left Edges (or where ever you want)
Your logo is now in the top left of your document
Select the Move tool (v)
Now to put it exactly where you want use the cursor keys
One press of the cursor key = 1 pixel
Shift and cursor key = 10 pixels
Once you have the logo where you want ctrl/d to deselect then stop the recording.

Icons(images in Combobox) read from folder in project

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to populate these icons (images) from the img folder under my project. Most of these icons are in .png format and I want to populate them into the ComboBox which i have. On top of that, when the user selects one of the icons from the ComboBox, I need to show the icon on the ComboBox which now I'm only able to show the label that is being tagged to it. I saw the IconComboBox.as example but I can't apply them to my current design.
Is there a way to achieve it?
