Images from web path won't show in Crystal Reports XI R2

Hi, I have a problem with my Crystal Report XI R2. I am trying to get images from web as well as static google map using OLE object. After setting the Graphic Location. No images are shown. I am using Windows XP SP3.
Also, I tried to create a simple report using same program and version installed in my Windows 7 Laptop. I inserted OLE object with graphic location from web like http://www.domain.com/image.jpg and it appears... same as with google static map with given latitude and longitude. And it works!
Is there any problem with my windows XP machine? any video card issue or dot net version issue or firewall issue?

To add to Don's reply. Fiddler is a great HTTP sniffing utility that should be able to tell you what is happening as far as the permissions, etc., etc.

Please realize that Microsoft Word is specifically designed for word processing application, while Adobe InDesign is specifically designed for high-quality professional-grade layout application –where InDesign outputs highest-quality output. I don't use Word app for years.
To place images onto InDesign document, it is recommended that you place HIGHEST QUALITY of image - at least 300ppi. If you place 72ppi on InDesign, it is HOW you place that specific web-quality image on InDesign. InDesign didn't do anything wrong, it is HOW you put the web image on.
Word of advice, do you have a permission to use all of those web images captures off the Internet without website owner, or any copyright owner's written permission. If you haven't done so, just stop doing what you are doing (web screen captures off these webistes for your own benefit or pleasure, but cannot use any of these images for commerical use). Just free two-cent advice. In closing, all I can say, be cautious and careful.

Is there anyway to display an image from local path i.e "c:\img.jpg".
I need to display an image from the path in Dialog(Screen) programming.
I need to do it using program not any other way...

Unable to Export images from a Web Intelligence report to Microsoft Excel.
A Web Intelligence report is created using images to denote alerts. The report works OK in Web Intelligence but when exported to Microsoft Excel, the images do not display.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
Create a simple Web Intelligence document.
Add a blank cell and within that cell link it to an image. (Either set as background for the cell or Image URL.)
Save and export to Excel. The image will not be displayed.
Cause
Web Intelligence export engine does not support the export of images to excel.
Resolution
In BI4.0, Web Intelligence export engine does support the export of images to excel.
Workaround 1 :
Most image formats are supported in PDF export. Users may be able to use that as an alternative.
Workaround 2 :
If images are required in the final Excel document, the user would need to recreate those image links manually in Excel.

When capturing images from a Nikon D600, they show in Bridge, but when clicked to load into CS6,an error message says that it is the wrong type of document, even jpeg files. This is a NEW frustration.

Nikon raw files would open up in Adobe Camera Raw and so should jpegs.
If you select one in Bridge and give the command "Ctrl r" (Windows), what happens?

I am having problems with the month of October. When I have the full month view, the synced items from google calendars won't show. But they do for all the other months.

There is definitely a glitch somewhere because if I am on day view and try to click on day 15 of October, it will not let me. It totally is acting weird.

Free fonts, fonts from a reliable foundry?
Have you tried removing them temporarily?
Do you still have problems if you create a new Windows user account and log in with that? How about if you start in Safe Mode?
And I would run a memory checker and see Troubleshoot font problems | Windows

I am trying to show a crystal report in SAP Portal. I did a crystal enterprise report iview, and in SAP portal I got this error when I trying to show it:
404 Missing Page

Then I test ce_url service, and got this error:

What has happened?

Note
The termination occurred in system BTP with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
What can I do?

I changed the 2 items, but I got this error when I executed the report in portal
HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /viewreport was requested

Report Document not show on Crystal Report Viewer in C#

My program is modified from VB.NET. Now I struck with Crystal Report that Crystal Report Viewer didn't show Report Document.
Printing code is composed of two forms. One assign parameters and objects need. Other is Crystal Report Viewer form, CrystalReportForm. Last one run report by parameter from the first.
When run this code that it didn't found any error but the problem is no report show on Crystal Report Viewer on second form. It just blank Crystal Report Viewer. There arm't any message response.

It's not yet fixed. My dataset (ds) can't bine to DataGridView as
DataGridView1.DataSource = ds
But it could do like this

When I bine to Crystal Report Viewer setdatasource

It still not work, anyway you suggest let me in the right way. I very confuse the thing I fix to bine to DataGridView

Safari is not showing some images from web properly

Hi. Since last week some pictures from web are not showing properly on safari & mail apps.
Whenever I go to websites with relatively many images, some of the images are only showing top halves and the bottom halves are solid black.
This has never happened before.
As it was so annoying, I've tried deleting safari history, cookies, and web data, and I also tried network reset.
None of them worked.
What's weird is that this issue doesn't happen when I'm using wifi, but happens when I use LTE.
My signal dots are full 5, and LTE is still faster than my wifi.
what can I try next?

You can fix the issue temporarily by going to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Note that this will log out of any website you were logged in to, and will clear your browsing history (if you use suggested websites from your history when going to new pages), but it will reset the cache containing the incorrect images.
Another way to fix this issue temporarily is to use Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data and swipe to delete only those domains that have incorrect images. This does the equivalent of clearing website data, but only for the specific site removed. Note that images are frequently served from different domains than the host site, so you must clear the domains where the images are stored. Also, this page doesn't have a way to filter the list, so you must look through it manually, which is why I don't suggest it as the first option.
BTW, the majority of posts reporting this issue appear to be AT&T customers.

Dynamic Image From Network Path

I am trying to setup dynamic student photos onto a report, we are lucky enough to know the photo filenames as they are the same as our student_id's so I setup in a formula:
Spot\Image_Bank\QLSPhotographs\Images\" + {Photo_List_By_Course;1.student_id} + ".jpg"
as the image path I also tried:
"I:\QLSPhotographs\Images\" + {Photo_List_By_Course;1.student_id} + ".jpg"
as I have it mapped as a local drive both these options worked fine on my local machine running the website up in Visual Studio 2008 rather than IIS. Upon taking the website to our web server I tried the report using the "
Spot\Image_Bank..." option (as it wouldn't have the mapped I drive). This did not however work.
Do I need to adjust the formula?
What user/security would it run under the folder has read permission for Network Service, All Staff (our group for staff), System, Domain Admins and various others. The website seems to run under Network Service as I had to apply write access to a folder before in the website.

Is your web application able to retrieve the files from that location, independent of whatever you're doing with Crystal Reports? If not, the Crystal engine won't be able to, either. Make sure that the application is impersonating your domain users properly, assuming those are the credentials you're using to access that shared drive.

Firefox 5 with Fedora 15 prints text, but will not print images from web pages.

I have a Pentium 3 laptop running Fedora 15 and using Firefox 5.0. Firefox will print the text from a website, but will not print the images. It just leaves the spaces blank where the images should be. Print preview shows the same results. I have a AMD desktop and a Pentium 4 laptop running the same software, except that the desktop is running the 64-bit version of Fedora 15 and the second laptop is running the 32-bit version. The desktop prints the text and images without very many problems, but both laptops will print the text, but ''not'' the images.
As a test, I downgraded Firefox from version 5.0 to 4.0.1 on the Pentium 4 laptop and encountered the same problem. So, since I do not print much from either laptop, I had not before seen this problem. The desktop has never seen it.
I figure it may be an about:config problem, but I do not know what the parameter may be that is causing the problem.

Photoshop CS5 - drag images from web into photoshop issue

Has anyone had this happen or know a solution? Photoshop CS5 at work does this, but the one I bought for home doesn't... weird
When I drag an image from the web directly into Photoshop, the program almost freezes, I can select tools, but cant use them, I can get the handles to display with Free Transform, but then cant scale it. I have to actually close the file, then re-open it to continue working.

The exact same thing happens with my photoshop CS5! very irritating! My boyfriends photoshop CS5 works fine and does not have this problem either! HELP!

Cannot save images from web on ipod touch 4 after ios 6 update

After downloading ios 6 to my ipod pod touch 4th gen, I can no longer save images from the web to my camera roll. Please help!

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Setings>Safari and Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
