Images in Mail Signatures are squished

Has anyone experienced this issue? I have an image in my mail signature and it's squished down to a set size of about 100x100 pixels. Regardless of the image I use, it's always compressed down incorrectly after upgrading to leopard. This happens on more than one machine.
Is there any workaround?

I fixed my squished problem, but the recipients of my emails tell me that the signature looks blurry. I created it in Illustrator, saved fonts to outline and saved it in various file formats, jpg, png, gif. It always looks fine on mail that comes back to me or that I send to my self from another accounts.
Is there a guideline anyone can point me to that describes the resolutions, file formats and other settings to prevent this? My experiments haven't yielded any success.

    Hi again,

Isn't there another quicker fix for this issue?
<edit> ok i'm one step further. I've now got an image uploaded that actually shows up in Sea Monkey.
Now, for this to work, do the resulting html file and web archive also need to be on a remote computer???
No that's not necessary. those can be on your local computer. I think you are almost there. save the html file, open it in safari, save it as webarchive and substitute it for the webarchive with the dummy signature.

  • Cannot include Logo Image in Mail Signature for Email

    Hi
I am trying to simply include a small 3 kb GIF file
in my Mail signature for my professional Email Account
    and the problem is:
    1. When I drag and drop the GIF file into my Signature field,
it automatically scales it up like 100% and is huge, pixelated and blurry
    2. For some reason, when I try this same thing in All Signature field,
    it works fine
Problem is, I still cannot get my professional email account, the one I want
to have the GIF logo in, to have this image
    Please help
    thanks

  • Image in Mail signature

When I to drop in a jpg (a logo) to my email signature panel in Mail, all that shows up is a blank area with the message, "Missing Plug-In". Any idea what that plug-in might be? In case it matters, it's an imap google apps acct.
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Images in mail signatures?

Is it possible to paste in a graphic (company logo) into the signature in Mail on Yosemite?
I tried and got a blocked plugin message.   Not sure what kind of plug in it might be, but is there a file format (.png?) that is acceptable?

Yes, you should be able to drag a graphic into the signature pane of the Mail>Preferences window. I have done it successfully with a .png, but it should work with any image format.
However, what you can no longer do in Yosemite as you could in previous OS X versions is make the image link to a website. Nor can you align it in the center in this signature pane as you once could. You have to center the image in an actual e-mail template.
I am also experiencing another problem when I include an image and/or when I change the default signature text issued by the system: When I toggle between one mail account to the other in a e-mail template, the signature from one account does not go away when the other account comes up. There is some traffic about this on the Apple Forum. Several of us hope that this is something Apple will address in a Yosemite update.

  • How does one add hyperlinks to images in Mail signatures?

    Greetings esteemed Mac boffins,
How do I add hyperlinks to images that I have added to signatures in Mac Mail?
There seems to be no option for it.
    Regards,
    Ryan

It's just not working for me.  I can't figure it out.
As you can see in the screenshot, I have the icon selection and when I go to the "add link" menu item, it's greyed out.
I have provided 2 screenshots for reference.

  • Image in Mail Signatures

    Hello.
I have some problems with my signatures on my iPhone and iPad.
I use several signatures on them and all of them have images attached to them. The problem is that after a short while the images stops working and only shows up as a small box where the images should be.
Question: How do I get the images to stay and not disappear after a while?

Check out the tutorial on css signatures at allforces.com.
I used the info to create my business signature which displays the same in mail.app, MS Outlook, GMail, Yahoo, etc. Great article.

  • How do you link an image within a Mail signature to a website?

I do link words to a website, but I can't find how to link images in Mail signatures to websites. Could anyone help? THX!

    Hi drewdollar,
If you have Acrobat, you can use the Edit Text & Images tool on the Content Editing pane of the Tools panel. Just select Edit Text & Images, and then drag the image where you'd like it to appear on the page.
    Best,
    Sara

  • How do you add an image in the signature

    Hi,
How do you add an image to the signature area.
The Insert/edit image is not available when in My Settings | Personnel Info | Signature
    Regards
    Ray Farmer

You need to link the image.  See the example for the Canada flag below.
    <img src="http://forums.ni.com/ni/attachments/ni/130/6908/1/Canada-small.PNG" border=0>
Replace with the image you like.  This goes into the signature box within the profile tab of the personal settings.

  • Downloading images in Mail messages

What can I do to see images is mail that are shown only by the box with the Question mark in it? I find it frustrating as some of the images are important to the particular message. Thanks for any advice.

    Greetings,
You've posted in the Leopard forum, even though you're running Snow Leopard. You need to pay closer attention to be sure you're posting in the correct forum for the OS you're running. I will have the moderators move it.
What can do to get the images to move again in [M]ail.
You can't. The ability to see moving .gif images in Mail was removed in Leopard, without any notice by Apple. You can send them to others, but you won't see them move if they are sent to you.

  • How do I backup mail signatures

    Hi
I am going to upgrade my OS to lion &amp; was wondering how to backup important stuff like my email signatures that I can load once the OS is installed.
Any help would be great, never really back things up before oh, oh!

Hello, it'd be best to have a complete backup before you upgrade, but in theory 1st Installing 10.6/Snow Leopard, which you need to get Lion, should preserve all those things.
Second best would be to copy tour whole Home folder, next best would be...
    On Mail...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail (Signatures are in this folder)
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    For Address Book, quit AB...
    Files...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
    Folders...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/

  • Image in Mail Mail signature is pixelated. How can this be fixed?

    Hi there,
When I create a mail signature with image (72 dpi) in Mac Mail, the sent image looks very pixelated to the recipient. When I use a higher res image (150 dpi), it looks clear but then the image is huge to the recipient. To try and solve this issue, I have created an HTML signature and image looks fine, but since I have to impletment this across a large organization, having to go in and alter everyone's mail settings is not an option.
Does anybody know why this happens?
    Many thanks!

If you are asking how, while creating a email message, can you switch from the current outgoing email email message and look up a previous email to reference a line to include in the outgoing email without having to "save as draft or cancel" and the go back to the email message I am creating, this is my problem too. If the is not what you meant, consider this a new topic as I did not find an answer without going 10 pages deep in "topics".
    Thanks
    SK

  • Mail Signature: image size keeps changing to fit window

When adding a logo image to a signature in mail, the image is not remaining the same size, it changes in size semingly to fit the width of the window that the email happens to be in. Mostly the image is showing larger than the window itself. We are having this problem on imac (snow leopard) and brand new macbook pro (mountain lion). I have tried using PNG and JPEG files but both have the same problem. Older signatures (2 years old) show the image correctly keeping it the same size. Any advice muchly appreciated : )

I worked it out in the end - I had 2 things too big in my image settings; the canvas size (which was 14cm long!) and he DPI (which was 300dpi) I have since changed to approx 8cm long and 100DPI and it now displays the logo in the signature without increasing the size of it to fit the size of the window. My only issue now is trying to get the image to still show in the reply thread, so that when you look down the email conversation you can see the logo in each of the previous email signatures. This one is stumping me!

  • Mail signature image not appearing on PC

    Hi.
I've been struggling getting my signature logo, sent from Apple mail, to appear to PC users in the message. It works fine with mac users as far as I know, but not for PC users.
What am I doing wrong? Its a image file, but only appears as an attachment when received by PC users.
Can anyone help me regarding this?
    Thanks
    MZ

My only suggestion would be to use Safari's File > Mail Contents of This Page. Obviously you'd need to first create an HTML page that is accessible via the internet which would contain your pre-fabricated signature line. Here is a sample:
    http://www.progravix.com/emailsample/
Then you'd choose "Mail Contents of This Page" in Safari, and it will create an HTML email with that same signature line intact. What is cool about this is that the images within the email are not part of the actual email (attachments) rather being pulled from their remote location. This will only work if the recipient chooses to receive HTML email (but that would be the case regardless of how the email was composed, or by what client.
