Images show up on Firefox but not IE after upgrade from 8.1 to 9.2

Hello,
 
 We are encountering a strange situation: we upgrade our Weblogic 8.1 Application to 9.2. The images on the login page can be properly displayed on Firefox, but not in IE.
 
 In order to make the images show up on IE, we have to modify the image path by adding extra two "//". For example:
 
 We have to change
 
 < img src="/resources/images/logo.gif" .../>
 
 into
 
 < img src="///resources/images/logo.gif" .../>
 
 to make it works in IE, however, in that case, the Firework won't work.
 
 We do notice that the file structure has been changed by the upgrade:

Agnes,
 I think you should distinguish whether it is a behavior difference between
 two browsers or it is an issue of WLS server.
 You can copy suspicious html codes into a dependent html file, then check
 how is is rendered by different browsers.

Firefox will not start after upgrade from 3.0.1

I have Firefox 3.0.1. I would like to upgrade to 3.6, but if I try to upgrade to any version, I cannot open Firefox. It is not like the other "Will not start" problems, because in the Task Manager, firefox.exe pops up, then goes away instantly. I have tried using Safe Mode, doing a clean install by uninstalling Firefox and my profile, cleaning the registry, then using CCleaner, then trying to reinstall, but the problem persists. Sometimes firefox.exe doesn't even show up in the Task Manager. I also cannot use any version of IE(even if I wanted to), Safari or Chrome. They all have the same results. I suspect that it is not a problem with Firefox, but with my computer, but I don't what is wrong. Can anyone help me?

Sounds like something is killing off your browsers before they can start. I really have no idea why Firefox 3.0.1 is working somehow, though.
Do a malware check with a few different programs, you need to use all, because not all programs detect the same malware.
For each of these, make sure they are updated after installing, and run a full scan.

Firefox would not connect after upgrade from verion 6 to version 7. Did system restore (XP) and now firefox wont even start

Sometimes Firefox will hang during startup or shutdown, and still be running invisibly in the background. Usually in that case, you need to "kill" it either by restarting Windows or using the Windows Task Manager. It sounds as though you are familiar with opening the Processes tab, finding firefox.exe, and using End Process.
If you use an advanced firewall or other security software that tracks which programs are permitted to use the internet, please see these articles:

A couple of other suggestions:
(1) Can you start Firefox in its Safe Mode? Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. You should get a two-button dialog. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset). Any difference?

File- Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12

Hi,
File -> Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12.1.3 in few systems. Can you please let me know what could be the issue.
If export record count more than 200 it is working fine in all the systems and if change the profile option "Export MIME type” value to ‘text/tab-separated-values’ from application/excel also it is wokring.

V 3.2 v2 now has problems with layouts, displays images fine in IE10, Firefox but not in Chrome...

Images placed in a page are not displaying in the same places in the design view on the rendered Chrome page, they are perfect in IE 10 and Firefox but not chrome / safari (ipad)?
In other words I cant get all the browsers to render the same, in order to get one set to work I have to position images one way and then they dont work in the other browsers? it doesnt make much sense but i cant seem to figure it out and need urgent help!

this has been setup to work with chrome, but in the design view you have to place the images in totally wrong places to get them to show correctly....

Every browser will potentially line break the same text with the same formatting differently due to subtle differences in the text layout engines between browsers, so the inline graphic approach is generally the best approach for achieving completely reliable results.
The reason the difference was so dramatic between IE or Firefox versus Chrome or Safari is that Chrome and Safari are based on Webkit and Webkit rounds percentage leading to a whole pixel value where as IE and Firefox interpret percentage leading as a fractional pixel amount, if necessary. This means line spacing for text with leading that's specified as a percentage will be substantially different between IE/Firefox and Chrome/Safari. You can avoid this by entering a pixel value (i.e. "14 px" for leading in the Control Strip or Text panel in Muse.

Expiration date not displaying after upgrade from 2007 to 2013

I recently upgraded from MOSS 2007 to 2013. I have information management set up on a library of InfoPath forms. For the forms that were created prior to the upgrade, the expiration date is displaying and actually get updated if I modify them.
But none of my forms that have been created after the upgrade, are displaying when the expiration date is, which should be one year from modify date. If I modify the forms created prior to the upgrade, they reflect the new, update date.
Are these new forms not getting the policy applied to them, and why not? I am not sure why the older forms are getting updated, but not my new ones.

According to your description, my understanding is that the Expiration date column was not displaying values after upgrading from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013.
Per my knowledge, we can only use the date column which is added to the library or list or the Declared Recorded date to set the retention policy, so if the Expiration date is used in the retention policy then the Expiration date should be a column in the
library or list.
I recommend to check the retention policy in the library and see which column is used in the retention policy as the image below shows:
After that, go to the Library settings to find this column.
Could you please provide screenshots of the retention policy and the columns in the Library settings page?

MSY does not start after upgrade from 50SP6 to SP11

after upgrading from 50sp6 to sp11 I cannot start MSY.
I've implemented note 1099457 - AMT is starting now,
but MSY still does not start.
Has anybody some experience what this could be ?

Hi,
as I assume the AMT is installed completely new when doing a SP upgrade because it is a standard tool which you cannot enhance. Therefore it is running properly.
Regarding MSY you need to perform a full generation within MAS (Visual Studio) after changing the generation settings to MSY (similar to MSA) because the runtime files like MSY.DLL need to be fitting to the new SP11 framework dlls.

Scanner of HP 8500 A909g does not work after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10

After upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and subsequent upgrade of printer software, the scanner functionality did not work. When I tried to uninstall the printer software I got the message "HP uninstaller has stopped working". After another upgrade of printer software the scanner was still not working. How can I get around this problem? Update:
I followed the instructions for a similar problem with Windows 8 on http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-Setup/Scan-doesn-t-work-on-Solution-Center-after-migrating-to-Win/td-p/2228367.After this, the scanning seems to work. Not sure whether it is possible to uninstall, though (don't want to try since it is working).

I had the same problem with my Officejet Pro 8600 All-in-One scanner, sfter upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. After uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer driver, the problem is solved. You can look up the model of your printer on HP's support site and download it from there. Apparently, not all printers are compatible with Windows 10. In that case, they recommend you buy a new printer. ;-)

Output errors show up in Firefox but not IE. Is there a way I can disable this?

I've been having a bit of a problem where a dialog box comes up in Firefox that shows data that appears in my output when testing the movie in flash. The game works fine, despite the errors that Flash doesn't like in my actionscript. These are not compiler errors, but messages that appear in my output. The dialog box only shows up in firefox and I have the choice of pressing "Dismiss" or "Continue". Is there a way to make it so this box doesn't show up?

Image showing up in layers, but not on document

Hello,
This is baffling to me. Please see my attached screenshot--I've got an image that I pasted into photoshop. You'll see that it is showing up in my layers pallette, but not in the actual image on my screen.
Can anyone offer any help?
I'm on a PC running windows 7 and Photoshop CS5.

To help verify whether your video card is at the heart of this, disable the OpenGL options in Photoshop.
Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance
Uncheck "Enable OpenGL Drawing" from the "GPU Settings" area in the lower right.
Reopen your document (this setting change will only effect new document windows, it will not change the behavior of currently open documents).
If everything starts working after that, then we know this is an issue with your video card.

Color Management: Light image shows correct in Photoshop, but not in Illustrator

Have a light cyan (13% dot max gradient piping the text) emboss letters spot channel .psd placed in AI. In Photoshop the image shows up great, but in Illustrator is notvisible (goes to white).
Color profile is good & generated with hardware device i1Profiler
Same color settings in both AI & PS- North Amercian General Purpose in both
Assign profile tried both Working CMYK US WEB v2 & don't color manage
Illustrator (left) Photoshop (right)

Figured it out. Happening because this is spot channel. For my purpose am creating a renders of a package, so converted the spot channel to CMYK.
Illustrator for as long as I can remeber has nto worked perfectly with spot chanels, the colros are off in Illustraor, and when you print a fiery they are off. Only solution I found to keep a spot cahnel intack, is to add a dummy white channel in the layers palette for the sahpe of the spot channel. While this works great with spot chanenls that are built without tints, nto so well in a cse liek the one above.
Kow I am not the only one to have discovered the dummy white trick, as printers such as SGS are using this. Can anyone offer any more insight into why we have to use a dummy white layers, and how to keep a spot channel intack on files like this one with the light tinted gradation???

CS6 Photoshop images showing up in layers but not document

Im currently running photoshop CS6 on windows 8 and when I try and open a file the images come up in the layers but not the actual document.
I know this has already been posted about Photoshop CS5 but I think CS6 is slightly different. Can anyone help me?

Podcast Image Shows Up In Feed But Not In Store

I just got my Podcast approved this morning. All excited, I checked it in the Itunes Store and the artowrk is not there.
For some reason, when you subscribe, the image does shows up. So the feed has the image, just the Itunes store does not.

The image is correctly referenced in your feed. It's quite normal for the image to take some days to show up in the Store after a new podcast as first appeared.

Firefox will not open after upgrading to Firefox 3.6

As soon as a click on the browser's icon, I get a problem error message, saying firefox isn't able to connect to the internet. I'm not having this problem with internet explorer, so it isn't the connection. Also, it isn't the firewall; I tried that. I'm thinking it has something to do with the settings....but I'm at a loss! Please help D:
(It's saying it's an incompatable application)

I have the exact same problem. When I go to Gmail the page initially loads, but then will be redirected to the calendar page. This is a repeatable error and only started after upgrading to the latest version of Firefox.
