IMAP / Email Filter Not Working

I have an IMAP connection set up to sync with a Groupwise server at my work. It appears to authenticate fine but the email filter on my Pre isn't working. When I set the filter to anything other than "All" (1 day, 3 days, 7 days, etc.), none of my messages show up in the folders on my Pre. However, when I select "All", I receive exactly 1000 old emails, all of which are at least 1 year old. (I know, next step is to clean out the inbox!)

Hi I could receive emails but not send on my iphone 5S after the ios8 update.
Im with blueyonder and following a call to them I had to change the outgoing mail server settings as follows
go to the mail account in settings.
then scroll down to outgoing mail server.
select the server name
then you should have two servers Primary and other Smtp servers. Select the primary.
Now scroll down and delete user name and delete password.
Now change the server port to 25
Press Done at the top of the page
Send yourself a test mail to check if this works.

    Hi - 
    I am using a Blackberry Tour with the BES for Exchange v4.1 and cannot get the email filter to work as it did no the BB Curve.
    I have set up the filter on the Tour itself, the Desktop Manager, and the BES server and nothing seems to work. The message arrives, but I do not get the Level 1 ringtone assigned, nor do I get the high importance assigned.
    The only thing I may be doing wrong that I can think of is I am filtering on the sent from only and leaving the sent to field blank.
    Does anyone have this working on tour?
    It is really important for me to ensure I get woken up when a message from my IT Systems Monitoring system comes in at 2AM in the morning.

    There is a setting somewhere that refuses to mark as junk any email that uses your real name as part of the address. In the settings for Mail under Junk Mail, the setting is entitled:
         "Message is addressed using my full name."
    I assume this means that emails that look like:
         [email protected]
    can be marked as junk, but not email addressed to (something like):
         Fred Smith <[email protected]>
    This helped, although I've never been exactly sure how the junk filters work.
    Another solution is to select an email you consider junk, then go to rules, choose one, then press the + button and it automagically creates a rule to prevent that mail.
    Sometimes it helps to removes some of the email address that gets blocked to make it less specific. For example filtering on:
         bla.com
    would block:
         [email protected]
         [email protected]
         [email protected]
         etc...

  • ICloud IMAP email still not working.

    I can get to my email via https://www.icloud.com but accessing it with Mail.app still reports that:
    "There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “iCloud” or try again.
    The server returned the error: The connection to the server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” on port 993 timed out."
    I am experiencing this on 2 different macs at the same time.
    Anyone else running into this issue even though Apple's System Status page ( http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/ ) reports that "All services are online." as of 10/13/2011 12:08 PDT.
    This is an alarming trend.... .Mac launch fails; Mobile Me launch fails; now iCloud...
    Let's get it right Cupertino.  Are you going to let the folks at Google and Microsoft mock a 3rd failure?

    Mine stopped working from 10am yesterday morning (UK time) and I reset the password a couple of hours later. This still didn't work. I just reset the password again and it's all started working again instantly on my phone. Still to try icloud.com, ipad and macbook as they are at home but its looking good!

  • Lens Correction filter not working?

    I upgraded to CS5 specifically to use the auto lens correction feature (primarily for barrel and pincushion distortion on my Canon zoom lenses). Now I find that:
    Even though the camera back (5D Mark II) and lens information is included with an image, the lens correction filter requires me to manually select the back and lens.
    Several of my lenses are not even included in the data base, even though they're very popular lenses (e.g., EF16-35mm 2.8 L USM II and EF 70-300mm DO IS USM). I realize the data base is to be enlarged, but these seem like inexplicable omissions. (And I have no desire or time to create my own profiles.)
    The PDF instruction manual for CS5 offers no help, and I don't see this issue addressed in the forums. I'm hoping someone will be able to advise me on how to make this function work.

       Thanks for the quick answer, but I still think the menu is misleading.
       If the body choices were in the format of "full frame, 1.3 crop, 1.6
    crop, etc.", it would be clear that the specific model didn't matter.
    However, this would create its own problems since many people wouldn't
    understand the concept of the crop factor for their camera.
       The fact that the 5D Mark II exists in the pull-down menu as a discrete
    choice in addition to the 1Ds Mark III implies that there is a difference
    between the two. Even if there is no functional difference in this context,
    it would avoid confusion if the actual body from the EXIF information could
    always be the default selection.

  • Cableone innstalled a new server and now my thunderbird email will not work. What do I do now?

    Cableone, our internet provider, has changed from a Google server to their own server and now my Thunderbird email will not work. They have directions listed to make it work, but this does not work. I have also contacted Cableone's technical support and they say because thunderbird is not their system they have no responsibility to make it work. I prefer to use Thunderbird for my email - how can I make it work? Also, I have tried the Thunderbird 'Automatic Account Configuration' help and it does not work.

    Ask your less than helpful provider for the server settings and setup the new account up manually.
    You want to know IMAP or POP and the name of the server. The port number and if it uses SSL/TLS security.
    You need the same info for the SMTP server for outbound mail.

  • Exchange email will not work when offline

    Anyone know when Apple will fix this issue?  Email will not work correctly unless connected to wireless.  This makes it impossible to be productive while flying.  This is exclusive to exchange servers as it woks on POP accounts.  

    I know that.  When I work on my laptop I can file, reply, delete etc. and when I land it updates all the folders and sends and recevies all the mail.  the iPad will not let you file or delete emails unless connected.  This makes flying time completely unproductive.  If I have to have a laptop to do email why have an iPad???

    iCloud email addresses (@mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com) require SSL. Is your address an iCloud address or someone else?

    I have the same problem.  I called Apple this morning, they told me that they restored "half" of the people affected last night and the next update will be 11 am EST.  Very frustrating to say the least!

  • Email is not working properly and dvr is freezing.

    I never thought I would say this but I am considering going back to cable. I have been calling verizon for 2 weeks now. My email is not working. I did not get any email for about 3 days, then when I called I got a couple (I normally get about 70 per day). Now I get 3 or 4 a day and it seems I have to call them daily. Their server is rejecting emails. I have many things I am waiting for (business contracts, etc) and I am not getting them. CLients are telling me that their emails are being rejected by verizons servers. I am not getting any answers from verizon. All that happens is when I complain, I get email for about an hour (sporadically) and then it stops again. I have really had enough of it at this point. And the DVR freezing for the last several months.. well that is another issue. It is time to look into optimum again

    Try this:
    Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    See if you are able to connect now.

  • Share option for email does not work after Yosemite upgrade.

    Does anybody know why the share option, "Share via email" does not work anymore after Yosemite upgrade?  I love this feature.  It's just quick and easy.

    On Yosemite, Pages '09 v4.3 no longer recognizes the Share > Send Via Email categories. You will have to export and manually drag/drop/attach documents to Mail. There is no fix.

    I'm so sorry your having issues. Unfortunately there isn't an email for global support. The only way way to reach them while traveling is to call them at 908-559-4899.

    If you are having issues with your iPhone’s camera not functioning, you may want to troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

    Specifically -
    Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
    If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
    If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
    Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
    Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
    Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
    Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
    Try to remain steady while focusing:
    Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
    Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
    Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
    Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
    If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
