Imesh is messing up my home pages

I made the mistake of installing iMesh on my computer, and after that iMesh made itself the homepage on firefox. I went through and had different pages on firefox and did the options tools and use current pages for the home page. Closed firefox and reopened it only to find that imesh was the only homepage. I did this a number of times with the same results. I uninstalled iMesh and firefox and reinstalled firefox but the problem still exists. I uninstalled firefox and upgraded to the newest version and it still does the same thing.

You should go into the folder "program files" - "imesh applications " and find a file. exe to UNINSTALL the address bar in firefox imesh. After completely eliminates the folder (including hidden files).

  • When I set my home page and restart Firefox, it reverts to iMesh, an inadequate search engine. How do I get it to retain the home page I set? I said yes when it asked.

    I go to Google, drag it to the home page icon and then acknowledge by clicking yes. When I restart Frfirefox it goes back to imesh.

  • I want to have my home page displayed when i open up a new tab in multi opend tabs

    if i am opening up extra tabs i would like the display to be my home page every time.

    Middle clicking made my multi-homepages show up twice (in my case i have 5, so I had 10 extra tabs pop up)
    I delayed switching to the new Fire Fox for a long time, and I had a theme which is not compatible to this version. But in the other version there was a drop down for the homepages and you could choose which one you'd like to load for that instance. I have my iGoogle homepage which houses quite a lot, but some times I need to view GMail on it's own, and I usually just click on it from there. I want to go back to iGoogle when I'm done with GMail. [Using the back button doesn't help because I beat the memory for going back that far after messing with my mail].
    Basically all I want to do it choose which homepage I want to load at a time, not all 5.

  • No Links on home page in IE6 or IE7 or IE8, but IE9 works

    Hi,
    I'm now looking at the Browserlab info on my home page. this page includes a (standard) stack  which brings up a popup if the browser is IE6 or some other very obsolete browser.
    In IE6, although I click the link to close the popup to enable me to continue working,  it won't close.  So none of the links work.
    In IE7, no links show either, although they all have the right colour.  eg.  the url at the top, the waterfall image, the nav pane down the left.  None of the links work now.
    Nor do any links show in IE8.
    But in IE9, I do get links showing on hover. And they do appear to work.
    So this seems to be roughly the same as one of my earlier posts started Oct 7, some seven weeks ago,  -  links don't show url in IE8, IE7, or IE6 - only in IE9
    No revisions to Browserlab yet? Or is my Browser Reject stack upsetting it?
    I'm using the main Browserlab interface with Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Firefox 5.0.1 to check that my site works in Windows Internet Explorer.
    Warm regards,
    Cris

    Sorry, Mark, I do know to give the url - seems like I messed up!

    a very similar page but without the nav menu and without the Browser-Reject stack is:

  • What is this Ask Home Page that has attached to Firefox? Is it a browser hijacker of some kind? How do I get rid of it?

    Is the Ask Home Page suppose to be attached to Firefox home page? How do I get rid of this mess? I have Windows 8, that I HATE.

    Hello,
    Yes it appears to be a browser hijacker. Please see:

  • Comcast took over my firefox browser and home page, how do I get comcast out of my firefox

    I moved to a new area and comcast installed the service here. The installation and set up of the modem asked me to install a toolbar and I opted out because I see no use in comcast services. Comcast installed some thing like malware that took over safari chrome and firefox where all of the home pages were converted to their site. Safari required being reset and chrome I removed and reinstalled. Firefox has been completely taken over, I have uninstalled it 3 times and tried safe mode and just about everything else. I spent 2 hours on the phone with comcast to no avail and my feeling on it is that firefox is the most popular browser and comcast wants part of that so they have developed their own little malware to get in on firefox. What can I do as customer or user of firefox to get rid of comcast and their browser and home page and get back to what I am comfortable with which is firefox and my npr home page.

    Sorry, if resetting your homepage in Firefox doesn't work or that change is only temporary until the next time you use your PC or restart it, you need to uninstall that Comcast Toolbar from your PC. I don't know how or where that Comcast Toolbar for Firefox is installed, so you'll need to figure that out yourself.
    The first place to look is the Windows Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs, and it is there '''Remove''' it.
    Second place is in the Firefox Add-ons Manager tab - '''{ Ctrl + Shft + A }''' - if you find it there, '''Uninstall''' it from Firefox.
    If you are able to get rid of that Comcast Toolbar and still have problems with not being able to set your choice for a homepage, let us know. There are a couple of places that may have been messed with by that application, like a user.js file or the prefs.js file.
    I'm a Comcast user, too, although I have had this cable service for over 10 years now, with the two previous owners of the franchise for this area before Comcast bought out AT&T Cable. All three companies recommended that I have their "software" installed and I refused it each time. I told them if it was "required", they could close my account, that I would go elsewhere.

  • Home page won't publish correctly

    I am getting very frustrated. I have been having this issue the last few times I have updated my home page and published it. All the other pages seem to be publishing fine, its just the home page that is going nuts.
    I have tried to upload just the motifited files, I have tried to upload all files, I have deleted the muse manafest and reuploaded the all files and still can't get the home page to publish correctly. Before today I was having issues with the menu bar loading correctly. Today I went in and redid the home page and now the whole page is a mess.

    Did you try to start in Safe mode?
    In Firefox 4+ versions you can use one of these to start in <u>Safe mode</u>:
    *Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    *Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)
    *https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
    Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
    See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
    *https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
    There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
    If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
    See:
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

  • Why did firefox change yahoo home page. Now different from IE

    For some reason the Yahoo home page which I always use has been changed on Firefox. On IE it is the good old home page that I not only like but was used to. I prefer Firefox as my browser but would like the regular Yahoo home page back. Any ideas?

    I have the same problem too. I had the same problem about two months ago and someone on here told me what to do. Unfortunately I did not write it down so i don't remember. I've tried, tools-options - advance - general - unchecked use hardware acceleration when available...it did not work. Yahoo main page looks perfect on IE, on Firefox it's a mess. Someone please help.

  • I have saved a web page as my HOME page but another one keeps loading when I try to go online.

    I saved a home page to load when I go online. Another web page keeps loading in its place. How can I get MY home page to load instead of this other one?

    Thank you for your response. The webpage that keeps coming up is something called imesh. I have read the article and tried changing it again but it keeps coming back to imesh.com. I have changed the default home webpage in other parts of the computer and with the options menu but imesh keeps overriding it. I know I did download that program but have since gone back and tried to delete it from my computer. Evidently I was not successful. I have looked for it all over to see if I missed deleting somehow but I can't even find it now. If you have a suggestion I will gladly try. I'm also going to get my tech guy to look at it. Thanks!!

  • Products on Home Page - Help!

    Hello,
      I'm trying to build a site that has a 3x3 table of products on the home page and I want to use pagnation to load more products into the same layout on subsequent pages. See the image at the bottom of this post for an idea of the layout.  I'm using module_productfeaturelist to display tagged items but I can't figure out the following:
    1) How do I display this module in a table format instead of a li?
    2) How do I include the pagnation functionality so the products that don't fit on this page overflow to the next page (using the same template)
    here is the module I'm using: {module_productfeaturelist,product tile,9,Default,,,true}
    I really apprecaite your help!!!!

    Hi Liam, I figured out the float to align my images however the pagnation isn't kicking in automatically after 9 images and as far as I can see it's only an option present in the Overall Layout eccommerce module.  I guess really the only thing I need in order to achieve the layout I want is to put the overall layout on this page and then I wouldn't have to mess with module_productfeaturelist.  The only problem I'm having is that when i insert an individual catolog it just provides a link to the catalog that opens in another page.  I only have 1 catalog so all I want is for the ovarall layout to appear on the page immediately without having to click a link to see it. Do have any ideas on how I might accomplish that?  Thank you, I appreciate your help!!!

  • Variable or conditional home page for different users

    Lets say I have 2 groups of users, some from GROUP_MGR and others from GROUP_EMPLOYEE. I want each user to see a different home page. Lets say, when a user who belongs to GROUP_MGR logs in they should see page #1, but when a user from GROUP_EMPLOYEE logs in they should see page #2.
    OK, so I have a plan and please let me know if this is off base.
    STEP 1:
    =====
    To to my login page 101 and modify the "login" process which currently reads:
    {color:#0000ff}wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login(
    P_UNAME =&gt; :P101_USERNAME,
    P_PASSWORD =&gt; :P101_PASSWORD,
    P_SESSION_ID =&gt; v('APP_SESSION'),
    P_FLOW_PAGE =&gt; :APP_ID||':1'
    );{color}
    I will change this process to look like this (new code in red, existing code in blue)-----
    {color:#ff0000}declare home_page varchar2(30);
    begin
    IF ( APEX_UTIL.CURRENT_USER_IN_GROUP(p_group_name=&gt;'GROUP_MGR') )THEN
    home_page := '1';
    else
    home_page := '2';
    end if;
    {color}
    {color:#0000ff}wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login(
    P_UNAME =&gt; :P101_USERNAME,
    P_PASSWORD =&gt; :P101_PASSWORD,
    P_SESSION_ID =&gt; v('APP_SESSION'),
    P_FLOW_PAGE =&gt; :APP_ID||':'|| home_page;
    end;-----
    {color}
    Do you think my plan will work? Are there any other "hidden" settings I need to be aware of, or will I have any unintentional effects by trying this?
    Thank you
    Al

    Hi Scott,
    I'm not sure if Al was able to figure that out or not, but I have been fiddling with this also.
    I am not sure if it will work.
    Here's what I have so far:
    declare
      p_app_id varchar2(32) := to_char(nvl(:G_APP_ID,:APP_ID));
      p_page_id varchar2(32) := to_char(nvl(:G_PAGE_ID,1));
    begin
    wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.login(
        P_UNAME       => :P101_USERNAME,
        P_PASSWORD    => :P101_PASSWORD,
        P_SESSION_ID  => v('APP_SESSION'),
        P_FLOW_PAGE   => p_app_id || ':' || p_page_id
    end;Similar to what Al is trying to achieve, I am trying to take it one step further.
    I am working in a single sign on model, so if I am coming from Application A, I will be redirected to Application B to authenticate first. At that time, I pass in App A's App ID and Page ID if it's provided. They are parsed out of the URL and stored in a global variable.
    The nvl checks to see if an App ID exists and if not, then use the default :APP_ID. Same thing with Page ID.
    When I try to log in after compiling the script, APEX spits the following error back:
    Error ERR-10700 Unable to run custom pre-auth process.I am guessing we aren't allowed to mess with the custom auth package like that. Either that, or the syntax is wrong... I'm not sure which one it is either :(

  • On yahoo home page, why does the mail icon not work since they updated?

    None of the stuff located on the left side of page work. To get to yahoo mail, I have to type "mail" in the search box to get the link. The home page of yahoo is just totally messed up now. I am running Firefox 33.1.1 on Linux Mint 9 if that means anything.

    Hi You may need to, take ipad to Apple & Store, is it under a year old? Make an Appointment. Cheers Brian

    You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac and are alternately opening one or the other.
    Pages 5.5.1 is in your Applications folder.
    Pages '08/'09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
    Pages'08/'09 can not open Pages 5.5.1 files and Pages 5.5.1 alters Pages '09 files.
    Right click open to chose the correct version of Pages for your files.
    Pages 5.5.1 is a supposed "upgrade" but has over 100 features missing. I am surprised you didn't notice the huge difference in the User Interface as well.
    If you are unhappy about all this mess, say so by rating/reviewing Pages 5.5.1 in the App Store.

  • I just downloaded FF4 and now the "SEARCH" tab located at the center of my home page isn't functional. I unisntalled and reinstalled but the result is the same.

    Question
    I just downloaded FF4 and now the "SEARCH" tab located at the center of my home page isn't functional. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the result is the same.

    I think what I did was right clicked on the toolbar when I went to the tab and properties to find out the name of it. I then opened the extensions and add-ons and found what it was there (I don't remember the extension)., You will find the mess involves the homepage tab you have. Click on your tool bar for customization and put the home page away. This doesn't remove it but it will stop bing from showing up. Instead, my tabs now go to a Google page but I can't put in a homepage. Instead I bookmarked Google to my menu bar and when I open a tab I just click that! Cheaper than a trip to a computer vet.
    The only option you will have is to remove google, but if you do, you loose all your goodies. Though I did not try this myself, I fear saving your tabs,bookmarks , etc. will store with it, whatever this bing thing is. Hope this helps
