Have you actually selected any content in order for the import button to become active.

Go to the bibliothec module, select the folder, right click on the folder and hit synchronize

There is no need to import anything or use Home Sharing.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer, everything will be exactly as it was.

"Copy" is normally used when connecting a camera or card reader.
Simply copy or move folders from your external drive to your computer hard drive, then from the Organizer menu click:
File >> Get Photos & Videos >> From Files & Folders
Then navigate to the new location on your internal hard drive.

Others have the same issue, with the import button being grayed out. My trail copy expired, but I believe by poking around in the options and selecting another Aperture library and re-selecting, I was able to continue.
The problem is common enough, that hopefully Adobe will address. In the mean time, try repairing your Aperture library, checking permissions, exporting a subset of your library for a test, or try putting that library subset on an external drive. (Can usually avoid permissions issues.)

The final step, after selecting the folder I want to add, is to select Import. Except, the Import button remains grayed out. I'm not sure what to do in order to select Import and add the folder I already have.

Thank you for the information. Yes, that seems to make sense based on what I've discovered using LR 4. Still trying to come up to speed. Appreciate everyone's help with their tips and insight.

Folders per se cannot be imported - only pictures (or movies) in a folder can. So, you have to select a folder containing at least one picture or movie (all pictures and movies found are automatically selected when the import dialog opens). This is probably not the case for the folder you want to add, so "no photos found" is displayed in the dialog center and the "Import" button is greyed out.

When I open a second Firefox browser window, the URL address window, instead of showing the URL, says "Go to a Web Site;" also, and more importantly, the "back" button is greyed out. This is a new problem, and the first Firefox window I open works fine.

After I open the first Firefox browser window, any additional window I open does not open my homepage, but opens a blank page with "New Tab" showing on the tab. An orange "Firefox" tab with a drop down arrow shows at the upper left hand corner of the screen. All of the options (File, Edit, etc.) are greyed out, however they will work if you move your cursor over them.
The URL address window says "Go to a Web Site". After I've gone to a website, the back button remains greyed out and I am not able to go back to a previous page. My RoboForm and Netcraft toolbars only show up in an abbreviate form. The add-on bar doesn't show up at all.
Again, this is a recent problem, and only happens after I've opened one browser window (which works fine) and then open additional browser windows (as few as one additional).

I had this same problem. Seems to be caused by the web developer tool bar FF extension (this started happening after a recent update to that extension). After disabling it, my FF is back to normal :)

Share button is greyed out..

How do I share my video back to my camcorder? the "share" button is greyed out (iMovie HD 6.0.4) I have no problem to Import from the camera to the computer, but when I want to share it back to tape, I can't proceed. I have a Canon MV30 with DV IN.

Hi and thanks for useful tips, the problem wasn't really a problem.. Kind of embarrassing, I had a finished project, that I loaded to iMovie clips, but I forgot to drag it down to the timeline... I think I have spend about 2h trying a lot of different settings etc... without any result, and finally it was just a lame mistake.. But thanks for your fast tips!!
Edit: Beverly Maneatis I have a MV30, I bought it without DV IN, because it was a easy way to hack it, using the remote control to the camera.. If you are interested you can read more about here...

No wifi access at all on Iphone 4s....button is greyed out.

Im looking for some help with my iphone 4s.
I cant access any wifi as the wifi button is greyed out. Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. This was not an issue in the past but seems to have stopped working.

The back, forward, reload and stop buttons are greyed out, the address bar stays blank when I go to a website and firefox loads to a blank page, not my home page. There are 3 users on this computer and it only happens on one user.

Firefox loads to a blank page, not my home page. When I click on the home button it takes me to the home page. The back, forward, refresh and stop buttons are greyed out and not usable. The webpage I am on does not show up in the address bar. If I type something into the address bar, that address stays there no matter what page I go to next.

Same here.... No fix. Replacing is the option apparently and if you're out of warranty, you're SOL. That was as per the "Genius" at Apple.
