Import complete Flash site into swf in mini format

Hi,
I am trying to get a smaller size of a complete web site to
run in a swf file on my web site.
You can see what I am thinking at gggraphic.com/new under
product and web design. I want the inserted web sites to be live.
The script below works fine if the imported site lives in one
single swf. But most of
my sites run from a master swf that imports other swf's. The
master will import in the specified size. But all following swf
files will import in their full size. Is there some universal code
that will make all files that are imported into the
container movie clip adjust to the new size?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks on before hand.
Sincerely
ggaarde
08.19.07
Attach Code
stop();
var mcl:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
mcl.loadClip("
http://www.soundoil.com/CombFlash/CombFlash3.swf",
container);
trace("Loading started!");
trace("File width is: " + container._width);
var mclListener:Object = new Object();
mclListener.onLoadInit = function(mc:MovieClip) {
trace("Loading complete!");
trace("File width is: " + mc._width);
mcl.addListener(mclListener);
container._xscale = 56;
container._yscale = 56;
container._x = 305
container._y = 82

sorry about that. from what I know it shoots in mpeg-2, but when you go onto the camera disk image the files are named .mod
they can be imported into imovie 08, as .mov (but when I click "get info" it still says that they are mpeg-2 and that they are compressed -- which *****)
its also 16:9, standard definition. That's all I really know. What I ended up doing what I converted all the clips to DV with mpeg stream clip so I wouldn't have to render the video in fce. I did have to render the audio for some reason though.
another quick question. If I have a lot of clips in the bin for final cut will it slow it down? I have about 70 and it seems to be the cause for "dropped frames" or whatever that dialogue box says.
thanks again.

  • Convert all-Flash site into html?

    I have an all-flash site (www.CBRTA.org). For the benefit of
    certain clients who won't install the Flash plugin, I have to
    create a mirror html site. Does anyone know how I go about
    converting an all-Flash site into html? And quickly? I have access

    Sorry... unless you've separated the content out already,
    like into a

    easy way if
    the site is all inside of Flash.

  • Can't import temp BC site into DW

    Hello,
    I'm on a MAC running OSX 10.6 and DW on CS6 creative cloud. I created a temporary site using BC, spent a bit of time editing a basic 3 pages and forms module and now can't import into DW to complete additional edits.
    Site hangs when retrieving the site definition.
    I created a second site and did nothing, but the second site also hangs on import.
    Both sites show up in the associated window. I found similar posts on community, but no reply found.
    Thanks for any help in advance,

    When you initially set it up (import) into DW, do you also check the box to download all files?
    If so, don't. Do it after you have imported your site.

  • Importing completed iMovie back into iMovie for additional editing

    My daughter recently completed a mini movie, courtesy of an Apple Film camp...lots of fun.
    Her completed movie, made at the Apple Store using iMovie, was placed on a DVD. The DVD plays the movie, which is great, but i am not able to import the movie back into iMovie, so that I can edit it, or rather, shrink the size, for my daughter for use in other platforms.
    Everytime I try to open the DVD, I have files for audio and files for video, which can't be imported in, and no complete iMovie file.
    I'm probably doing something very stupid, and if somebody could help, that would be great.
    Thanks!

    Once you encode your movie for DVD, it changes the format/codec to MPEG2 which is no longer readable by iMovie.
    I suggest you read the Recent User Contributed Tips at the top of this forum - the one by AppleMan 1958 - How to import a home movie on DVD into iMovie for editing:

  • How can I import my iweb site into iweb on my new laptop?

    I recently got a new MacBook Pro and transferred my files over from my PBG4 12-inch (great little laptop). However my iWeb files/site didn't seem to transfer over to my laptop. I found the files of on my PBG4, and thought I placed them in the correct folder on my one.
    Every time I open iWeb it asks to start a new site. How can I import my old iweb site into it and continue with it? Is there a way of doing it? I've a read a few posts some talk about the file 'Domain' in the Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.
    If I copy that file over to my new MacBook Pro, will my site be in iWeb again? I greatly appreciate some advice. Thanks.
    MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Isotopecrunch,
    Welcome to the iWeb forums!
    You are correct about referring to the Domain file; this is the file that contains all of your work created in iWeb, and the file that needs to be transferred to your new MacBook. There are some notes on how to do this here.
    Take the time also to make back up copies of this file, and keep them in a safe place.

  • When importing a flash animation into captivate flash will not call external files

    Is there a way to import flash into captivate and it still be able to call external files (ie. sound, video xml)? When I import flash into captivate it will not call any external file.

    Hi all
    Wow, I was so hoping fellow Adobe Community Expert Paul Dewhurst would pop in on this thread.
    Why? Well, Paul sent me a way cool gizmo a while back that hacked the Info button. It used an external file for some of the information! So somehow Paul managed to sort what it took to insert a Flash object into Captivate and have that object extract data from an externally located file.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Can you import a Flash annimation into Fireworks?

    I want to prototype some Flex type user interactions in Fireworks.  I only need a few annimation & I don't want to create my entire prototype using Flash. Where could I find info on using a Flash annimation in a Fireworks prototype?

    Since you cannot import Flash file into Fireworks, you would need to add it to your mockup after export. Obne way to handle it is to create a placeholder image Fireworks, and replace the placeholder image in the exported page in Dreamweaver.

  • Importing a flash site in Dreamweaver

    Hello; Can someone tell me how I can import a site,made in Flash,in Dreamweaver??It's for appyling serverbehaviours and all the other stuff you need to make the site dynamic. When I import the swf,html or fla file in Dreamweaver,I am getting the flash placeholder(of course) whitch is of no use. In Dreanweaver it isn't possible to make such great designs like in Flash,so therefore I was thinking:why not make the design in Flash and than export it to Dreamweaver. Is there anyone who has the answer?? many thanks!

    Hi
    With javascript and (a good knowledge of javascript), css and other plug-ins, it is now possible to create any flash based page in dreamweaver with the same look and feel. But unlike flash most of these techniques are not well documented except on various developers blogs, and even then many tutorials are no use to a beginner/intermediate as they require a knowledge of the language/techniques used.
    As for rounded corners, script text, animation / behaviors, they are all possible in dreamweaver. But the simple fact you mentioned using AP divs, says you probably do not know enough of html/css/javascript/svg/vml, (the list could continue) to implement them.
    I am not criticizing you, (it may sound so, but it is not meant so) as many web designers/developers are probably of a similar opinion as yourself, and given that it is definitely much easier to implement these things in flash, well lets be honest, if you are doing this for a living, I know which I would choose unless the client was willing to pay for the extra time required in dreamweaver, (yes, use Flash).
    To create an html page for your flash movie, use the html publish settings in flash, it is much easier than importing the movie into dreamweaver.

  • How do I import my GoLove sites into Dreamweaver CC?

    Hello

    There's nothing much to import.  Simply Define a site in DW by going to Site > New Site.  Tell DW where on your hard drive to find your GoLive Site files.  See screenshot.
    Given that GL generated code that doesn't meet current web standards and used proprietary stuff that isn't supported in DW, you will have to clean things up quite a bit and find replacements for any automated features or extensions you may have used in your GL site.
    Most people find it's cleaner in the long run to just rebuild their site in DW.  Start with a new layout -- New > Blank page > HTML.  Select a layout from the 3rd panel & hit CREATE.  SaveAs index.html.  Repeat for other site pages.
    Then it's just a matter of copying & pasting old content into your new site layout.
    Good luck!

  • Import locally stored site into DW

    Hi
    I'm currently using DW MX 2004
    I have an old site stored on a local drive that was created
    outside of DW.
    Whats the best way to bring it into DW (retaining the links)
    so that I can
    begin working on it again and tidy things up.
    Thanks
    Ian

    Create a new site defintion in DW that points to the root
    folder of the old
    site, by selecting SITE | Manage Sites > New. When you
    click "Done", you
    will be connected to that local site. Open files and begin
    working in DW.

  • Import Business Catalyst site into Dreamweaver {subject edited by moderator}

    I created a website using Dreamweaver CC. I added business catalyst extension and want to use its feature for the site I created within Dreamweaver.  However, every time I tried to open up the business catalyst section, it wants me to create a new trial site.  How do I skip this step and integrate what I already created using Dreamweaver CC?  I don't want to have a trial site. I want to use what I already created using Dreamweaver CC with the business catalyst extension.  Help!!!!

    I'm afraid that's how Business Catalyst works.  You can't just upload any site to BC servers.  You must first create a BC account, create a BC site template, edit your template, activate BC modules, etc...  If all you want is to host your DW site without rebuilding it with BC, I suggest you look for commercial web hosting someplace else.

  • I need to import a word doc into the film script format

    I have a script saved in a word doc and i want edit it on adobe story. Ho would i do that?

    Hi,
    in Story Projects view, you can click the 'Import' button and choose the word document and then choose Film/TV template as appropriate to import. If your word document has been properly formatted (e..g, Scene Heading is of the format INT. SET NAME etc.), Adobe Story would be able to parse the elements correctly and import them without issues.

  • Is it possible to import Flash Apps Into Encore CS5.5?

    I have a unique issue with which I would appreciate support.  I am working on coding an mp3 player with playlist capability using Actionscript 3.0; it will be a defined playlist with only a certain number of files that never change.  Upon completion, I wish to use this to play files on the Special Features section of a DVD.  Is it possible, therefore, to import the completed Flash app into Encore?  I am using CS5.5.
