Import/Export of BPM Models (supporting a BPMN standard)

Is there a possibility in CE 7.2 in the Process Composer to Import existing BPMN Models or Eport Models in a standard format?

As far as I know, there is no functionality in CE 7.2 to import or export BPMN process models.

Questions on Subviews and Import/Export in Data Modeler v3 EA1.

I have a few questions about the capabilities of Data Modeler v3 EA1:
1) Is it possible to rename subviews? Would like more meaningful names then Relational_x - Subview_x.
2) Is it possible to save documents at subview level?
3) Is it possible to import/export subsets of data?
4) Having problems importing Erwin 7 .xml file, is there known problems with this import?

Hi Judy,
1) To rename a subview just right click on it in the browser tree and select "Properties". In the properties dialog change the name and click OK button.
2) You can save a subview as new Data Modeler design - from the File menu select Export -> To Data Modeling Design. In the newly opened dialog select the subview you want to export and click OK button.
3) After saving a subview as new design (see answer #2) it can be imported in some other design (File -> Import -> Data Modeler Design).
4) What kind of problems do you have with import of Erwin 7.* xml file?

Export of RFC Model to Java Project DC ?

I've got a Web Dynpro project where I used the Wizard to import an RFC Model. Now my client has this requirement that all Web Dynpro Models should be based on Command Beans that reside inside their own separate java DCs.
My question : is it possible to export my RFC Models packages and folders (along with my other Model classes) to a java DC project - to be later reimported back into the Web Dynpro project ?

Hi Romeo,
To answer your question first there is no standard supported way in which you could expose RFC Model in seperate Java DCs.
If the question is just to have the classes (proxy) created for RFC to connect to r/3 and get the data then you could use SAP Enterprise Connector, but i would not recommand that as you loose out the complete declarative way of using RFC and so called CMI Model support for Web Dynpro.
Secondly if RFC Model which you are planning to expose as part of java dc has to be consumed in Web Dynpro then i do not understand the need why some one will require to expose the RFC Model in Java DC and the inherit concept of RFC Model is related to Web Dynpro and not with normal Java DC thus its a matter of choice do you want to use plaiin java classes without Model driven approach or more declarative way as in case of Web Dynpro.

Oracle BPM 10g supports constructs in BPMN 1.1 in its process modeling evironment. Processes in 10g are stored as XPDL.

2 database EE and XE..import export

i have 2 DB installed on my PC..
1) Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production and
2) Oracle Database 10g Express Edition
i am trying to IMPort a schema (002n) from EE into XE by the name (002)
i have created the schema "002" in XE.
but when issue IMP command from the command. i think it is running the IMP
utility of the EE file location...
in the Environment variable of XP,,the path is ;

Export Master Data Model from MDM solution.

I have been assigned the requirement to integrate our product with your “Master Data Management” solution. To be more specific, I need to import the Mater Data structure (model), from your companies MDM solution, into our product to build its table/column structure. What I am looking for is technical documentation that will help me make this possible.
Here is a list of some questions I have that technical documentation could address:
•     Does your MDM solution have the capability to export the underlying Master Data structure (model)?
•     What form is the data structure exported (db schema, data dictionary, etc)?
•     What format would the exported information be in (XML, delimited text file, SQL DDL)?
•     If the format is XML, is there an XML Schema that defines what it will look like?
•     Do you have any sample export files that I can work with?
•     Is there technical documentation that would help me make this possible?

If you want to integrate with DRM I would suggest using the API (check out the SDK). This is the preferred and supported way to inject or extract from DRM from an integration standpoint. You can also do imports/exports, for example exporting a hierarchy in XML, to a table, etc.
Directly modifying the tables is not supported or encouraged; the DRM engine enforces many rules like validations, keeps multiple versions, tracks changes in transaction logs, etc, besides the fact that the database structure can change during upgrades. Additionally, due to the dynamic configuration capabilities some things like property values are stored in a one-to-many table that may be pivoted from what you expect.

[solved] AC3d import/export in blender.

i've looked around, tried a few versions of blender from aur,
and have yet to encounter a version that comes pre-equiped with AC3D import/export support.
some of the guys in #blender on freenode inform me their 2.49 versions have it, and that it's not yet in 2.5 versions.
i dont mind using 2.49... so long as i can get AC3d to work.
anyone else using blender? and have AC3D support, in archlinux?
if so, how so, and can i get a link to the script?

looks good, added to ~/.blender/scripts, ac3d_import.py & ac3d_export.py, and am using the 2.49b-1 from pacman (not the -2 from aur, incase that makes a difference), restarted, and the .ac option is added to both import and export submenus. yet to try them out, but i'll mark it solved already anyway]

got it working now. in 2.49b. idk what else i did besides what i've jibber-jabbered in the op, (and having restarted the laptop after it decided to switch itself off from overheating), but import is working now ~*tests-export*~ and so is export. hehe, thankyou arch linux forums for humoring me while i think out aloud. ^_^

ODI - Import & Export issue

I am using ODI in two environments (Development & Test, both are in different servers).
In Development, i have Master repository with Internal ID = 0 & Work repository with Internal ID =1
In Test environment, i have Master repository with Internal ID = 0 & Work repository with Internal ID =1
I tried to Export the Project & Models from Development, it was successfully completed. I placed those files in Test environment path.
I have succesfully imported the Models in the ODI Test environment. But, when i tried to Import Project, i faced the below error
XML Import Error:
com.sunopsis.core.m: This import action has been cancelled because it could damage your repository (problem with the identifier sequences)
Can anyone help me what actions need to be taken to Import the Project without any issues in detail with the steps?

Hi Dhamu,
Its a pure ID clash, since ur DEV and TEST repository ID are same, its should be different across environment , say DEV Master-0, Work-1 and TEST Master-2, Work-3 something like that.
You need to flush the TEST repositories and create a new repositories with UNIQUE IDs.

Unexpected Quits in multiple applications at Save or Import/Export window

Hello,
For several months I have Apple and Adobe applications as well as Firefox, randomly quit when bringing up the Save, or Import/Export window. (I have copies of the error logs.)
I thought I had it fixed since I haven't had any issues for some time after running Disk Utility and Onyx. But, I posted the same issue a couple of months ago and the solution (at the time) was to keep the desktop clean (see "Crashing at Save" by katorama) . So, after I cleaned up my desktop and only had two aliases to my folders I needed, all went very well until now.
However, what didn't help is that yesterday we had three power outages and my iMac did an auto-restart after each. Since then, the problem returned and nothing seems to fix it.
I feel like this issue is haunting me! I was a tech for many years and normally can fix the issue. But, I can't seem to figure out the reason behind these crazy unexpected quits. Seems I've run out of tools in my toolbag.
TROUBLESHOOTING ATTEMPTS:
– I have run Disk Utility to verify and repair disk and Onyx to clean out caches. After this, it seems to run fine, then a different application will have the same problem.
– When I create a new user account, there is no response when I double click the hard drive (it does not open) and when testing an application for the quit issue, it happens again.
– Also, when I restart into Safe Boot the problem appears to stop initially, but can appear intermittently again.
I suspect it may be a RAM or even a Quartz issue? But, honestly, I have no idea.

This is about a question you posted to the Firefox Support forum three months ago (I'm sorry you never got an answer).
Did you ever fix the problem where Firefox freezes or hangs, when clicking a download link or using (File menu) "save as" or "open file"? Or when going to the Firefox (Tools) menu and clicking Options ? Or trying to Import or Export bookmarks?

Audition Import / Export to/from other DAWs

Well its done!
AATranslator is finally finished.

Its been 3 months in the making and as I mentioned previously its not donationware but it is a fully functional demo only limitation is the number of tracks and 'clips'.
Many thanks to John Lundsten from the UK for the idea of this project, for his tireless efforts testing the application and for his insight as well as the user guide. Thanks also to Adrian Connelly for additional programming efforts and the interface and also dstDean from this forum for additional testing and encouragement.

There are a number of points to address here:-
"I presume there is no back up facility for your Adobe Audition® session file like Premier Pro has with Auto Save."
That is correct but even with applications with 'auto save' there is no substitute for regular backup of both your audio files, session file & audition settings.
"To fix this problem I was thinking about SESBackup (Donate) so this never happens again. Does the product work like the auto save facility in PRO (i.e. the session) or does it record & save everything i.e. the sound files again as well into a specific folder of your choice."
SESBackup only targets adobe session files (either singularly or ALL of your session files). It is handy to easily back them (or it) up before recommencing work on a project or as soon as you are finished for the day. It does not backup your audio material.
MediaSweeper will isolate and seperate the unused files from your project and move them to another location so that you only backup the material that is actually in your session.
AuditionFX will help you backup your Adobe Audition settings

As I recall AA1.5 has the facility to 'append' other AA1.5 sessions.

As far as Audition is concerned AAtranslator was designed with AA3 in mind. AATranslator can append sessions either from Audition, Samplitude, Cubase, Nuendo, Reaper, etc but it would need to be converted to an AA3 xml file at present.
But as i mentioned before AA1.5 it (as I recall) has that 'append' function built in.
Remember "save early and save often".
BTW You can download and try all of those applications and they all come with documentation.

Currently the condition of between two system as follows
Source Server : SAP ECC6.0, Component SAP_APPL, release 602 level 16
Target Server : SAP ECC6.0, Component SAP_APPL, release 600 level 24.
This problem happens due we was unable to downgrade the release and patch the latest support pack of SAP_APPL reelease 600.

How to import /export bookmarks in Firefox for Mac

I wanted to export my bookmarks in Firefox for Mac, in htm or pdf format. Cant find any command for that. Nor any import from htm or pdf. Nor can I list all my bookmarks aplhabetically ; I have lots of bookmarks in different folders and I want to see all these bookmarks listed with no folders.

In Firefox for OS X, you can export your Bookmarks to HTML via the Bookmarks dialouge window.
Open your Bookmarks dialouge via the Menu bar: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks.
When the new window has opened, this is what you can do to export your Bookmarks: https://support.mozilla.org/media/uploads/images/2012-09-16-05-44-02-10bc19.png (or view the image attachment).
