Import J2ME source into Java ME SDK 3.0

Hi,
Im new to Java ME.
The internet has lots of J2ME examples for games(but none for Java ME SDK 3.0), and im trying to import these into Java ME SDK 3.0 . I click on new project and select 'Import Wireless Toolkit Project', but it doesn't detect a project. Ive tried this with several popular J2ME samples.
Anyone know how to do this right, so I can import J2ME projects into Java ME SDK 3.0 completely, with classes, packages and resources intact?
I tried making a new project, and then copying the files into the relevant directories too. All the classes show up in the SDK, but on running the program no app is displayed in the emulator.

Don't double post. I've removed the thread you started in the Java Programming forum with the identically same question.

  • Import PHP-Array into Java-Application

    Hi!
I want to call a PHP-Script from inside my Java-Application. The PHP-Script can return an array.
How do I use a PHP-Array in Java and how do I import it????
    Thanks! =)

    thanks! =D
    one last question:
-how would i have to change my example to make a
    https-connection?
    Did you try
URL theURL = new URL("https://www.mysite.com/myscript.php");It works that simply. The only complication is if your server is set up for https or not. This is an Apache (or whatever webserver you are using)problem not a PHP problem.
I think it gets upset if you try and use certificates with problems (self-signed etc) but not having tried this (I have only used it with certificates that are otherwise trustable) I don't know that for sure.
Once upon a time I asked a question about using https as a client in Java and I got a variety of answers including doing mystic stuff with my keystore but I tried the simple and obvious and it works like a charm. At least from an Applet but I see no reason an application won't work the same way.
Anyway try the simple and easy and see if that works for you. You might find that it does.

  • Importing XML into Java.  Help needed Please!!!

    Hi,
I have downloaded j2sdk1.4.1_05 and want to configure it to import XML files into a DOM in Java. I am having trouble doing this and need help. I read that version 1.4 support JAXP 1.1 but I am having trouble finding the JAXP-api.jar file. It says to put all the other Jar files into a folder and leave the JAXP-api.jar.
Could you please tell me how to set up Java so that I can import an XML file. I also downloaded JAXP 1.2. But there seems to be no installer.
    Thanx John

You can learn about reading xml in java by reading the J2EE tutorial at

Here is sample program to read XML file into a DOM taken from this tutorial

  • Error importing *.SCA file into NWDS:  Import (into source SC) not possible

    All,
When attempting to import an SCA into a new project in NWDS, an "Import (into source SC) not possible: SCA doesn't contain DC sources" occurs.  Any assistance to fix this issue appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lee

You can indeed import SCAs into local development configurations in NWDS (Eclipse). You have to have a pre-existing software component of the same name and vendor which may or may not be empty.
In the Development Infrastructure perspective in NWDS 7.1, just right-click on the software component you want to overwrite with the import and choose "Import".
To import SCAs into a CMS track in the NWDI, you have to go to http://<NWDI server>:5<nn instance no>00/devinf/ and import the SCAs from the transport inbox directory of the NWDI server. Don't forget to maintain the SLD if necessary.

  • Because I have imported from a number of different sources into Aperture (3.2) over the years, I now have many duplicates in my library.  Is there any way in which these can be identified and lated deleted?

Because I have imported photos from a number of different sources into Aperture (3.2), I now have many unwanted duplicates.  Some of these are in the same "file/folder", others are not.  Additionally, some of the duplicates may have different file names.
Can anyone advise me if there is a way of identifying such duplicates in Aperture so that I may later delete them?  If this cannot be achieved within Aperture 3, does anyone know of a proven second-party app?
Before ending I should mention that I am reasonable competent on a computer but I am not in any way an expert.  (So simple answers would be appreciated if this is possible!)
    Hopefully yours,     Jeremy

Jeremy -- I suggest making a complete separate copy of your Library and any Referenced Masters and keeping it for a year.  "Duplicate" is, to humans, relative rather than absolute.  My use of Duplicate Annihilator turned up many useful near duplicates, most of which I couldn't quickly distinguish.  With a complete copy nearby, you can be slightly aggressive in your pruning, knowing that should you turn up something in ten months that you need (as an example: the full-size color file for a black & white printed shot that you thought was based on a full-size color Master but which is not), you'll have it.
IME, it was much more effective to get rid of things I didn't need, than to figure out which of several possible duplicates of an Image I did need.

  • Import of data source into R/3 systems which are not in transport route

    Dear experts,
I generated FI-SL data sources for hierarchies in order to extract a custom R/3 set hierarchy. The object directory entries are fine, the package has the correct assignment of the QA system. Now, I want to import the settings into another R/3 system (not QA): the import finishes without errors but nothing is updated. Does anybody have an idea why? Due to technical reasons, I can't switch the target system manually in the transport request.
    Any help appreciated.
    Best regards,

    Hi,
This checkbox is set for those fields of the datasource(in rsa6) which are custom fields, and whose values are determined by a user-exit written in tcode CMOD.
We have observed that keeping this checkbox ticked or unticked does not make any difference at all.So even removing this checkbox for your 4 fields will not solve the mismatch issue.
The mapping for the 4 fields in your case,is already there in BW.
Please go to tcode CMOD,enter the BW project name, select components and click on display.4 user exits will be displayed.
1st is for TD datasources,2nd for master data attr, and next are for text and hierarchies.
Double click on 1st exit FM,then double click on the include program, and find the exit code written for your datasource. Most probably user-exit not working OK.
    cheers,
    Vishvesh

If I actually import full files into FCP, can I then drop source files into the trash?   I'm editing now and want to free up HD space.

Just to confirm: in Preferences, Import, Files..."copy to library storage location" is selected.
So I assume I can dispose of source files.

  • Convert Eclipse ME project to Java ME SDK 3.0

    Hi
I've created a j2me midlet in eclipse and would now like to import or convert the project to use with new Java ME SDK 3.0. Any help would be appreciated?
    Thanks

    Hi,
there is no import wizard from Eclipse project (maybe we could think about it). I would recomment you:
    1. create a new MIDP Application project (without Hello MIDlet)
    2. copy your midlet (including package structure) into "src" folder of your new project
    3. open project properties, go to Application Descriptor category and register your midlet on MIDlets tab

  • Stepping into Java Beans from JSP

I am trying to figure out how to step into the Java Source code for my beans that are used in my JSP pages. I need to be able to debug them by stepping into them, using break points, etc.
I have Nitro installed and a sample JSP page with the import to my test Java Bean class. What I did was create two projects in my work space. One as a Web project application and one as a Java project. I referenced and opened both projects. Everything compiles fine and the syntax is correct.
The problem is I can not make the link for importing the class.
I get this error: Class com.BrianTest.MyBean not found in import com.BrianTest.MyBean
Anyone got a clue or a good example? I did try and add the class path and I tried to put it in a Jar file and attach the source to the Jar, but same problem.
    Thanks :?

Stepping into jsp:useBean is not possible, but you can step-into jsp getter & setter tag.
Since you are using java bean from a dependent project you need to configure your server with DevLoader.
And currently only Tomcat server can be configured with Sysdeo Devloader to handle this situation
Download Sysdeo DevLoader for Tomcat from http://www.sysdeo.com/eclipse/tomcatPlugin.html
NOTE: If the project is self sufficient and not dependent on other projects/locations for classess/libraries then NitroX picks up all the libraries & classes present within default WEB-INF/lib & WEB-INF/classes respectively. And in this case you need not modify server configuration.
Sysdeo DevLoader is to allow your web project to use libraries/classes from dependent projects. All you need to do is extract DevLoader.zip present within tomcatPluginV3.zip inside your Tomcat/server/classes folder.
For more information about DevLoader please refer to http://www.sysdeo.com/eclipse/readmeDevLoader.html
This will solve your problem and you should be able to run/debug your application. And most important make sure you have the correct NitroX build that supports Sysdeo DevLoader, refer http://www.m7.com/whatsnew.htm document against your build id (Help > About NitroX > NitroX Icon)

Due to a change in operating system, we are required to upgrade our Crystal Reports server from BusinessObjects Crystal Reports Server 11.5 to SAP Crystal Server 2011. We use the Java RAS SDK (RASCore 9.2.2.446 / RASApp 9.0) more or less as described in Java RAS2008-unmanaged exportreport. We use the Crystal Server to export reports stored on disk as PDF files.

  • Java ME SDK 3.4 problem running IMP-NG Midlets

    Hello!
I downloaded and installed the Java ME SDK 3.4 and I'm having trouble running a IMP-NG JAD. I don't know if it's a environment problem or a SDK bug...
If I make a JAD IMP-NG, I get a IllegalArgumentException when launching, even if we run using the Device Selector window, right-click on IMPNGDevice1. If I make it a IMP-1.0, it runs on simulator, but doesn't show in right-click on IMPNGDevice1... It seems to be checking the version (IMP-NG is 2.0, and simulator is 1.0?) but I don't see what's wrong.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Java Me SDK Installation Question

    Dear Java Me Developers,
I downloaded Java Me SDK 3.3 (oracle-jmesdk-3-3-rr-win32-bin.exe) but I just cant find the main application.
When I go into the program folder I just see Custom Device Editor, Java Me Embedded Emulator, Java Me Mobile Emulator and Update Center.
Am I blind or where is it ^^?
    Greetings

    Hi,
    Sorry for the slow reply.
The Java ME SDK allows you to run embedded applications via the Java ME SDK Embedded Emulator or mobile applications via the Java ME SDK Mobile Emulator. If you have an existing mobile or embedded application start the respective emulator and then select the application to run. But the Java ME SDK does not feature a source code editor or other features of a full development environment.
For a full development environment, you will want to use an IDE such as Eclipse or NetBeans. The plugins that come with the Java ME SDK integrate the Java ME SDK emulators, device editor, and other tools into Eclipse or NetBeans which makes for a complete development environment.
For a good guide on getting started, see the Java ME SDK "Developers Guide" for NetBeans (http://docs.oracle.com/javame/dev-tools/jme-sdk-3.4/nb/html/toc.htm) or Eclipse (http://docs.oracle.com/javame/dev-tools/jme-sdk-3.4/ecl/html/toc.htm).
    Hope that helps,

  • Executing Javascript into java GUI

    Hello Everyone
I need to make some gauges and indicators to be shown in a java gui industrial application. I did not found good and free(that permits using the library in commercial apps) libraries for importing gauges and indicators in java.
I have found a very good site, that offers some free nice gauges written in javascript and intended to be shown on html pages:
    http://www.bindows.net/free_gauges/
Is not there any workaround to import such javascript gauges into a java GUI application ??
    Thanks

"The Mozilla Rhino engine for the JavaScript programming language, however, is currently included as a feature in the JDK 6 and JRE 6 libraries." (source: http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/J2SE/Desktop/scripting/)
However, the problem here is that Java is not a web browser. These GUI elements would likely make use of HTML, CSS and APIs that are only implemented in a browser. To use them outside of a browser would, as already stated, require most of a browser to be coded. Quite a large effort just for some pretty GUI elements.
