Importing Dolby 5.1 from one DVD to another

Hi all,
I'm working on a DVD for an art show catalogue. It's pretty straight forward, just a main menu with the artist's names, and when you select an artist, you are shown their work (either photos, video, or just audio in a few cases).
One of the artists has sent us a source DVD of his sound-art piece which is in Dolby 5.1 - i.e. there is nothing in the "VIDEO_TS" folder, and the "AUDIO_TS" contains the following files:
ATS010.BUP
ATS010.IFO
ATS011.AOB
AUDIO_PP.IFO
AUDIO_SV.BUP
AUDIO_SV.IFO
AUDIO_SV.VOB
AUDIO_TS.BUP
AUDIO_TS.IFO
AUDIO_TS.VOB
I need to somehow bring this audio from the source DVD into the catalogue DVD, while maintaining the Dolby 5.1 (surround sound is an important part of the piece). I am a total newbie when it comes to dealing with surround sound and I am completely ignorant as to how to do this. Any advice or steering in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Welcome to the forum.
I've not dealt with AUDIO_TS folders at all but I would think the first thing you'll need to do is demux the Dolby 5.1 from the source DVD. To do this you'll need to open the AUDIO_TS.vob file in an app like BBdemux or MpegStreamClip - once again, I've not dealt with these type of .vob files so I'm not sure if either of these apps work with audio vobs. If not you'll have to do some hunting on the net to find one that can do it.
When you do eventually figure it out another thing to keep in mind is that you can't put 5.1 audio in Audio track 1 (this is a DVD spec thing) so you'll either need to make a Dolby 2.0 version for track1 (you have to have something there) or encode a silent audio track to put in its place in track 1.

Exporting and importing a field value from one screen to another in BSP

Hi All,
I am working on a BSP application which consists of multiple screens. I have to export the value corresponding to a value selected from a drop down and import it in another screen so that in the next screen values can be populated corrsponding to the value selected in the drop down in the first screen.
I tried using SET/GET parameter and also EXPORT/IMPORT so that I can get value from one screen into another screen but both the statements are not working in BSP....
Please help...

Import of the application from one server to another

Hi There,
I have imported my application from one server to another.
Now when I am trying to log in to the application using the previous credentials, it simply reloads the log in page and it doesn't give invalid user name and password error also.
It just simply load the log in page once again.
What should I do? Where am I going wrong?
Please help!!

I often create forms in both English and French. Many are long and complicated and I have to create them all individually. Is there any way I could use the form field layout from one form, for another form? That would be fantastic.

Sure. To replace the underlying page contents and retain any fields, document-level code, links, etc., select: Document > Replace Pages
you will likely have some tweaking to do to some field positions.

No, they can't be transfered from one Comcast DVR to another. You will have to watch them, or play them back in real time to another recording device like a computer captuer card or a DVD recorder that you would purchase.

I can't Import Video, Transitions & Audio From One Project To Another

I've been working on this video all day and I’m finally in the home stretch but I've encountered my biggest problem yet. This is what I want to do. I have a series of clips, transitions, and separate music track in 1 open project and I want to transfer the whole kit and caboodle to another open project. For some reason when I do it only imports the video and some audio that's in track 1. I have tried locking audio clips to the video but it doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone help me!? I'm bleary eyed already I've been at this so long. Thanks!

catspaw: Thanks for replying!!! I think I was unclear as to what my problem was. The way I work is to have one Master project open and I then import various clips from other secondary projects as I build my movie. I know . . . this might seem nutty it’s just how I work. The clips, sound and transition were from a separate project but they were only part of the main movie I was building in my Master Project. Am I making any since? Anyway, I couldn’t take it any more so I rolled up my sleeves and went 1 by 1 through the audio clips and lined them up by hand with the imported video. I know this must be almost INPOSSIBLE to understand the way I’m explaining it, sorry! Basically, though, for now, I’ve solved the problem. Thanks so much! I’ll post again when I have my next iMovie anxiety attack.

How do I Import my iWeb Files from one Mac to Another

I have iWeb files that are on one Mac and want to import to another Mac.
How do I do this with having one domain file, completely erase the other domain file that has different files?
This is BRUTAL trying to move, copy and import iWeb files between family Macs!!!

You are actually better to split your domain file so that each site can be loaded individually into iWeb and published separately. See....

You'll note from this that you can also use a third party application to handle these file and iWebsites used to have a merge function. I don't use it so I don't know if it works with the latest version of iWeb.

How to import a Change request from One application to another application.

In SRM Dev system I have created a Change request (Transport Request) and released to the QA system.The Change request has imported successfully to the SRM QA system.
Now the Case is:
The Released Request in the SRM Dev system has to be Export to the CRM Dev system.
Is it possible to Export the Released Change Request from SRM system to CRM system?
If possible then can you provide me with the solution.

Quick Question,
How do I import my gradient map settings from CS3 on my old I mac into my new Mac that uses CS6? Is there a folder somewhere that I can just copy and paste?

Start Adobe Photoshop CS3 and open an image from your files to which you want to apply a gradient map.

Select the "Image" menu, point to "Adjustments" and click on "Gradient Map" to open the "Gradient Map" dialog box.

Choose the gradient you want to use for the gradient map by clicking on the "Gradient Picker" drop-down box. Click on the gradient preset you want to use for the gradient mapping. You will see that in the background the gradient has been applied to your open image.

Click on the gradient fill that you have chosen to open the "Gradient Editor" if you want to edit the gradient preset. Make any changes in this dialog box and click the "OK" button to close the box and return to your gradient map.

Set any final options to apply to your gradient map. Check "Dither" under "Gradient Options" to add noise to smooth the bands of your gradient and/or "Reverse" to switch the direction of the gradient map.

How do I import an unpublished site from one computer to another?

I prepared my website on my computer at home, which is not configured to publish the site into my university's public folder. So I copied the website onto a memory card and now I would like to open the site on my work computer's iweb to add a few details before publishing it. How do I do that?

All of the data resides in the Domain.sites folder found in
HD/Users/Your user name/Library/Application Support/iWeb
Copy that file to the other machine and you can edit (assuming you have iWeb installed on it) your pages.
Copy that file back to your other machine (it the exact location) and confirm to "replace" the older version so your file is identical to the "Published" version.

Tables are already created in both of the oralce databases only the data varies. I just have to import only few records from one oracle to another with the same user name and table already existing.
I have tried using database link. I can view records from the other oracle database but as soon as i write an insert command oracle gets held. I cant do anything.
Is there any other way?

Burn from one disk to another

hi,
i ordered 2 superdrives so i could make copies of my burned DVD's. on the website, when you configure the computer, it says "make copies of your burned CD's and DVD's with simplicity and ease!"
well, i could not figure out how to do this, so i called apple support and after being on hold forever, they tell me that with the software that comes with my computer, it is not possible to make copies. and, they do not recommend any particular software either.
i am now on hold with customer service (now over 20 mins) waiting to see what they have to say about this.
what is the deal? has anyone been able to burn from one DVD to another? by this, i mean from one finished burned DVD to a blank DVD.

I'm using Toast 6 so I'm not sure how this works on other versions. First click on COPY from the icons available at the top of the Toast window. It will then give you : read from: here you should choose the drive you want to copy from from the drop down menu.
Then at the bottom of the Toast window, next to the burn buttton, you click on the triangle and choose the drive you want to burn with. It's always safer when copying to burn at a slower speed, as even with buffer underrun you don't want the burn drive to try to pull data faster than the copy-from drive can supply it.
This procedure will not work for commercial DVD video, as they are copy protected.

Move transport requests from one landscape to another

   I am facing a situation where i need to import the Transport Request from one landscape to another.
    Consider i have two landscapes DE1 TE1 PE1 and DE2 TE2 PR2. and both the landscapes are on
    different release.
     I have created a Transport Request DE1Kxxxxxx.
     And now i want to use this transport request in the other landscape of DE2 TE2 PR2.
   How can i do that. Is there any process in using the Transport Request created in another landscape of different release.
Please guide me.

Just do manual copy of both data and cofile to second landscape...there you need to change the naming conventions(SID)....But it will works only that is a customizing request...cause developments will depends upon installation nubers....

Hi,
To use the Import Wizard utility, you basically need Administrator, Full Control to Top-level folder, and "Add objects to the folder" and "Edit objects" for this user on the root folder.
You need the least restrictive role, because you require absolute control for content promotion between 2 entitlement systems.
the webi document is the cherry on-top, you;ll have universes, connections, folders to bring over too.

PSE12 Organizer - can you copy photo from one folder to another and import copy into Organizer and still have original in other folder

I have been using folders to organize all my pictures and I will copy photos from folder to folder, often having them in 2 or 3 folders based on use. I tried to copy a photo in Organizer PSE12 from one folder to another and you can only move it, that means I can only have one copy of the photo. That is fine if I am using tags and want to search for it, but I want to have mult copies in mult folders. Organizer will recognize that it is there but it won't import it into the new folder. Until I move it, it stays in the original folder. I can drag it out of Organizer and drop (copy) it into a new folder fine, but it won't show in organizer in the new folder. Is there any way to copy and have multiple copies show up in multiple folders?

Hi,
The organizer works on the principle of not having multiple copies of the same photo.
If you have multiple copies spread in different folders, then making changes to one doesn't affect the others. The use of tags and albums are there to give different views of your photos.
You can't have multiple copies with exactly the same name even if they are in different folders. You could select a photo and duplicate it (File -> Duplicate) and then move the copy into a different folder but the name will be different.
If you want different folders for a specific reason, it is possible to use albums to collect the group of photos and then export them to a new folder outside of the organizer. You can also rename on export which is useful if you want to arrange the photos in a specific order.
