Importing Oracle DBUM User Management 9.1.0.0 Fails
I am trying to import the Oracle DBUM User Management 9.1.0.0 connector but am receiving the following error, "Unknown tag OBJ_OFFLINED recieved." Any ideas on what may be causing this?
Thanks,
Pete
You saw the response. I have written over there but if you don't get pass through then you might need to correct version conflict.
By the way I tried it many times and this works fine, just by removing these 2 occurrences of OBJ_OFFLINED and PRF_CASE_INSENSITIVE. Are you sure you did this clean and doesn't mixed up anything else. Also MST stores the Task to Object Status mapping, why is that showing an error ?
Thanks

OIM 11g: Error Installing Sybase DBUM User Management 9.1.0.4 connector
Hi All,
While installing Sybase DBUM User Management 9.1.0.4 connector from OIM console, I get the following:
While on Step 2 of the wizard (Connector Installation):
- Configuration of connector libraries: passes
- Import of connector XML Files (using deployment manager): FAILS
The following error message appears:
DOBJ.XML_IMPORT_ERROR
Unresolved dependency{WIN=Reconciliation Manager}
Operating System: Linux
Thanks in advance for any ideas!which release of OIM are you using.
Did you try to retry the installation of connector?
If not then refrsh your OIM database and then install again.
Seems like some earlier installation has kept some data in OIM DB. -

OIM - EBusiness User Management Connector
Hello there,
Can anybody please tell me within the Ebusiness connector i.e. provided in 9.1 version connector pack, which one needs to be installed? there are 3 different categories within the same -
1.) For the User Management connector:
Oracle EBS User Management 9.1.0.0
2.) For the User Management with HR Foundation connector:
Oracle EBS HR Foundation User Management 9.1.0.0
3.) For the User Management with TCA Foundation connector:
Oracle EBS TCA Foundation User Management 9.1.0.
I don't know which one resembles to which operations that OIM can perform. Can anybody please throw some light and explain which connector does what?
thanks,
- oidm.An FND_USER record represents an Oracle E-Business Suite account. This record is the main component of the account data whose management is enabled by the connector. *(Oracle EBS User Management 9.1.0.0)*
Depending on your configuration of the target system, there may be other user data components that must be managed by the connector:
Some applications in Oracle E-Business Suite require a user to have a person record in Oracle E-Business HRMS. *(Oracle EBS HR Foundation User Management 9.1.0.0)*
These users are either full-time employees of the organization or users (such as contract or part-time employees) who have been provided with access that is similar to the access provided to full-time employees. iExpense is an example of an application that requires users to have person (HRMS) records.
Some applications in the Oracle E-Business Suite require a user to have a record in Oracle E-Business TCA. *(Oracle EBS TCA Foundation User Management 9.1.0.)*
Typically, these users are representatives or employees of customers and vendors of your organization. iStore and iProcurement are examples of applications that require users to have TCA records.

Thanks.Well the list above shows that you have configured a pre-authorized access for the oracle user, and this is where the password check is failing. If you don't have any Windows in your OSB domain then you should remove this entry so it just shows as [none]

Oracle 10g Data Dump---Import to different users
Hi everybody,
I exported data in oracle 10g using expdp in user schema(abc1).
Now i want to import that data in different user schema (abc2) and another user schema (abc3). Both schemas (abc2 and abc3) are in same tablespace.
How to do this. Shall i need to export that data in SYSTEM mode to import for different users..?
Thanks in advance
PalShall i need to export that data in SYSTEM mode to import for different users..?No need. You can use REMAP_SCHEMA option on import, e.g.
impdp system/<password> directory=<directory> dumpfile=<dumpfile> remap_schema=abc1:abc2

LDIF Importing a user with a non-encrypted password fails, anywork arounds?
I was able to import a group without issue:
dn: cn=Authenticated,cn=Groups,dc=oraclelinux,dc=com
description: test group
objectClass: top
objectClass: groupOfUniqueNames
uniqueMember: cn=orcladmin,cn=People,dc=oraclelinux,dc=com
cn: Authenticated
But when I try to import a standard user:
dn: cn=testuser2,cn=Users, dc=oraclelinux, dc=com
userpassword:: password1
description: test user
objectClass: top
objectClass: person
sn: testuser2
cn: testuser2
It fails if I remove the password field then I can import the user without issue, but I need to include the password field as it is part of what was exported from the old LDAP Server.
If I create a user in an ldif import it then add a password using oracle's Directory Manager upon exporting it the entry loks like:
dn: cn=testuser, cn=Users, dc=oraclelinux, dc=com
authpassword;orclcommonpwd: {MD5}fGoYCzaJagqMAnh+6vsOTA==
authpassword;orclcommonpwd: {X- ORCLLMV}E52CAC67419A9A2238F10713B629B565
authpassword;orclcommonpwd: {X- ORCLNTV}5835048CE94AD0564E29A924A03510EF
authpassword;oid: {SASL/MD5}tUquh+Duowh2aWSEwONtcQ==
authpassword;oid: {SASL/MD5-DN}lcQ7Z5O5vcwzXMeaZ65fYw==
authpassword;oid: {SASL/MD5-U}AAWzkmDDCJLbs9mxoWBTiw==
userpassword:: e1NIQX00NHJTRkpROXF0SFdUQkF2cnNLZDVLL3AyajA9
description: test user
objectclass: top
objectclass: person
sn: testuser
cn: testuser
Changing my imported ldif to look like the following WORKS:
dn: cn=testuser2,cn=Users, dc=oraclelinux, dc=com
userpassword:: e1NIQX00NHJTRkpROXF0SFdUQkF2cnNLZDVLL3AyajA9
description: test user
objectClass: top
objectClass: person
sn: testuser2
cn: testuser2
So the password must be encrypted then?, if so how to I generate a password hash on the command-line and through JAVA?
Can an import be forced with a plain text password (Tivoli, SUN both support this functionality).
Can I change the constraint that the password must contain a numeric char? (Found in document: http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28196_01/idmanage.1014/b15991/pwdpolicies.htm#g1051713)
After fixing the constaints I can import a non-encrypted password from an ldif, but it can not be verified and only the authpassword;oid entries are created not the authpassword;orclcommonpwd entries.
Thanks for your assistance,
ERIC GANDTEric, my first guess would be that the OID password policy prevents loading of the password i.e. the password doesn't match the existing password policy.
What version is your "old" OID and what is the version of the current OID you're using?
What is the error msg you get?
regards,

Reengineering Desktop Thick Workgroups into Web
Rich Enterprise Clients
Bryan Hall, Spatial Architect, L-3 Communications
Jeff Walawender, Senior Software Engineer, L-3 Communications
Cost cutting requires reengineering spatial solutions to directly address business requirements. But enterprise computing for spatial data has, with even "Web 2.0", required the user to lose the responsiveness and feedback that traditional desktop thick client GIS software has provided. We took a different approach in the re-engineering effort and concentrated on making it work as much like a traditional desktop thick client - while simplifying use, making editing more reliable, and actually speeding up rendering. All this, while only supporting one versioned Oracle Spatial database, and application tier for all users.
Complete eGovernment solution at City of Bolzano

But, before this, I have done the ebusiness suite employee reconciliation 9.1.0.1.0 in the same way.
Please let me know, if any one has faced this kind of error earlier.
Regards
VickyFigured out the error,
When I have installed Ebiz HRMS Employee recon connector, it has imported all the files with root privileges. (Dont know why importing was done with root privileges).
Becuase of EBSCommon.jar and Common.jar having root as the owner, EBIZ UM connector is unable to replace those files. After modifying the owner and group of these two files to oracle.
I am able to succesfully install the UM connector.
Regards

Hello experts,
JDeveloper cannot find the classes below:
import oracle.bpel.worklistapp.dc.ale.beans.view.ApprovalListEditorComp;
import oracle.bpel.worklistapp.dc.ale.util.ApprovalListUtil;
Any hints about locating these classes?
Thanks in advance!

Importing jobs into concurrant manager
Hello,
I'm in the pre-sales stage of a project to integrate job scheduling from an external system into Oracle's concurrent manager. Is this a difficult thing to do? I imagine it is a matter of writing the appropriate info into a "jobs" table. If anybody has any experience, let me know!
Thanks,
Tom Orth
[email protected]I also have had very little luck importing users into WGM using text files. You have to make sure you do everything exactly right.
While it is possible, you MUST make sure that all the necessary fields are filled in. If there's something missing in your text file, WGM will poop it's pants!

User management and Access Control in HCM Cloud
Hello,
Information is scarce about User management and Access Control in Oracle Cloud generally. Today, I have two questions :
- How can I bridge HCM Cloud user store with my on-premise IDM or security repository in order to allow identty governance to flow to HCM Cloud service ?
The only information I got was that you can declare manually and by bulk import through files my users. This is not really interresting as I have an automatic IDM with workflows and identity control on provisioning and de-provisioning.
Is there a SPML or proprietary endpoint to do it automatically ? What are the prerequisites ? Do I have to implement OIM on my side ?
- Once my users are created, how can I do webSSO from my internal security repositories to the HCM Cloud service ?
I do not want to distribute new set of login / passwords to my users. Is it possible to do Identity Federation (SAML 2.0 or WS-Fed) with HCM Cloud service ? What are the prerequisites ? Do I have to implement OAM on my side ?
I accept all pieces of information you can give me on this topic to help me understand the funcitonalites, limits and options offered by Oracle Cloud and more precisely by HCM Cloud service.
Best regards,OIDDAS has limited capability of access control and information hiding. Presently, the permissions and privileges can be set at a realm level, and fine grained access control / information hiding cannot be done.
At present, the only way to restrict view and access control is by appplying ACLs (which is not the safest bet).
