Importing video into ipad2 iMovie

How do I import videos into ipad2?

And yet just another example of how apple-centric limitations frustrate even the simplest functions.  If I can import a video directly into my iPad from my "non-apple" camcorder, and play it... Then I shouldn't have to use iTunes on another computer to not only covert the file, but to import it as well so that iMovie can "see" it!!!
This even happens when using garage band ON MY IPAD then trying to use the music I created in I Movie ON MY iPAD!!!  You have to save the music to iTunes then connect to a laptop then import the music back to your iPad.
This is CRAZY!!!!!!!
Apple... Get your act together and make all this stupid crap stop... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Samsung Galaxy anyone?  While the video editing app isn't as good as iPad yet, the comparability and functionality blows iPad out of the water... You can actually save to folders!  Watch out apple google is hot on your a$$

  • Importing Video into iMovie using Mac the Ripper

How do I import video into iMovie using Mac the Ripper? I ripped the video content onto my computer but it was not converted into a file that I can import.

I think it's trend for all users since we can get more funny from digital life. Also it's necessary sometimes for us to save our video or dvd files with other methods, i have no idea but use something like converters. To my experience, mactheripper is not what you want, maybe you can try this dvd ripper for mac.Maybe ripper is illegal, but i just get my oringinal files, and i want to do more with it, that's just it!

  • Problems importing video into Event....

    Hi,
I've used iMovie loads but recently I've had issues importing video into an event.
I choose "import", choose the video (from GoPro) and then it takes 2-3 hours to import maybe half of the clips but not all.  I am importing no more than 7 clips at a time and these clips are 17 minutes each.
    Are the clips too big?
    Please help.

    Hi InVisionMedia
I found a Simular Poste regarding this topic: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5397854
So going over it might enlighting you on the issue. Also i would suggest to start with the Basic Troubleshoot for Playback issues on Lightroom: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/troubleshoot-video-issues-lightroom-4.html
If you have Lightroom 4 still installed, Also make sure that you can still use the footage in the original L4 catalog.
See if the files still work fine in the "old" version.
Hopefully it will help you to fix the issue.

  • How to import video into adobe muse?

how to import video into adobe muse?

If you want to embed videos in your muse site, without using a service like youtube or vimeo, then you will need to manually upload the video files on the server and use them via the video tag available in html5, HTML5 Video
To insert the video tags in your muse pages, you will need to use the 'Object -> Insert HTML' option.
Since this option is not available in Muse, out of the box, I will recommend that you post this on our ideas section over here, https://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas, and let our devs team know of this requirement.

  • Which is the better way to import videos into FCPX?

Hello to all. I have recently purchased an iPhone 5 and while importing videos, I could import them directly via the camera import of FCPX which was open at that time.
Later, when I tried to import a few stillshots, I found that I could not do it directly with FCPX importing into an event: reason being FCPX would not read the still photos. I learnt from the internet that one could import photos/videos from iPhone either through iPhoto or image capture. I tested out both of them and learnt that I could get my phoyos into FCPX via either of them.
My question is this: is it better for me to import videos into FCPX directly or to first save them on an external HD via image capture? Will there be any effect in the quality of the video in these two different methods of import?
    Thanks in advance.

You have already pocketed my thanks in advance Tom! The early bird catches the worm! Awake so early? Have a great day.

  • Problems importing video into Lightroom 5.3

I am using LR 5.3 on a Macbook running Mavericks.  Since upgrading from Lightroom 4 I have had trouble importing videos into Lightroom.
The generic video thumbnail appears, but the import hangs and never completes.  When cancelling the import the error message is shown "No photos or video were found to import."
After reading on various forums I have tried:
    restarting computer (many times)
    uninstalling previous version of LR
    purging video cache
    changing source location
    changing destination and/or import type
    reinstalling LR5.3
I have also noted that old videos already in the catalogue that played fine in LR4 won't play back in LR5.3.  They play fine in Quicktime.
Has anyone else solved this problem?

  • Importing Video into Flash Project ?

Hi, I want to ask you about how can I import video into my Flash Project and make it possible to view ?
I tried to choose embed FLV but the sound quality is quite shity and the video quality too. Furthermore, It expands the timeline which is too long because my video is quite long too. It said that it can be at least 16000 Frames to run.
Now I choose Import -> Import Video -> Load External ..... and then I put it on one scene. The thing is that when I test it, it looks like I have to expands the timeline too so that I can play the videos fully. And It will slow down the computer so much when I want to export. Is there any way I can play the video only by just creating one keyframe ?
    Please help me.

i choose Load -> External and it gives me some FLVPlayback in the library too ... But how I can make it relate to the previous scene and it can play the whole video and then back to the first scene...
First scene is where people can choose some option that I made of ...
A is where I link to the scene 3 of my project
    B comes to Scene 4
    C comes to Scene 5
What I'm stucking right now is how can I made the C choice for people to choose and they can see the videos. I tried to drag the FLVPlayback to the scene 6 and it shows some result. But I think if I want to watch the whole video I need to expand the timeline as much as possible and I really don't want that. Is there any actionscript code or some tips that I can make it possible? Sorry because I'm a newbie so I don't understand your words. Can you explain it more ?

  • Import a video into iphone imovie for editting

    Hi everyone!
This is my first question and need a bit of help. I only have an iphone with imovie on it.
Is it possible to import a video into imovie to use and edit it on the iphone?
The video I want to import was taken by a camcorder and I assume I will need to convert it into an .MOV file but then how do I get it into imovie???
    Thank you in advance!

You need to convert those videos to iMovie for iOS compatible video format on your computer, then sync the converted video to your iPhone 4. Here's instructions for doing so on a Mac:

  • Importing Video into iMovie '08 is not working

I'm trying to import video from my Coolpix S7C camera and iPhoto can see it and Quicktime can play it, but iMovie can't. Is there only a certain format that is importable in iMovie? For example, is only 1080i importable to iMovie?
And in case someone replies by saying that I should click Window > Event Library to display the project videos, that's already checked and no dice.
Thanks for any help on this one.
Oh, and I've just purchased Quicktime Pro to see if converting the file somehow will help.

I found the answer on the net at a great site. In summary, if you don't have a DV camcorder, you need to buy Quicktime Pro, convert your .mov file into DV and then edit in iMovie and then convert it back into .mov to display. Kind of odd, but it does work.
Just thought I'd let anyone else out there having the same problem know. The site where you can find the instructions to do so is here:

  • Can't import videos into imovie from movie files

I am having difficulty importing .mov files into iMovie.  When I go to file>import>videos, I can find my .mov files I want to move to iMovie.  It says it is converting.  The files show up in my iMovie folders in Finder but no thumbnails are showing up in iMovie.  Any suggestions?

The audio codec looks fine. The video codec is h.264 which is usually good for iMovie, but there can be variants that iMovie cannot handle. Another interesting thing about the h.264 is that it is anamorphic, which means it stores as 1440x1080, but simulates 1920x1080 by using rectangular pixels.
If I were trying to make this work, I would try converting it using a free tool called MPEG Streamclip, available here. I use the Beta version. http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
Drag your clip into MPEG Streamclip. Then click FILE/EXPORT TO QUICKTIME. For Compression, choose Apple Intermediate Codec. Leave the audio codec unchanged.
    For Frame size, choose 1920x1080.
Check Interlaced Scaling, and for Field Dominance use Upper Field First, but if it looks bad, you can try checking "Deinterlace Video".
Click Make Movie. Give it a name and store it where you can find it.
Now try importing into iMovie using FILE/IMPORT MOVIE.

  • Can't import videos into iMovie

    Hello, there!
I just captured a few videos with my screen capture app on my windows laptop. After I transferred them onto my iMac and converted them into .mp4 files i wanted to import them into iMovie but when i selected them only video 4 and 6 out of 6 videos imported into iMovie. i don't know whats the problem when i try again to import the other videos he is loading for like 1 second and nothing happens. i have already tried to restart iMovie and have also restarted my mac.
Also, this is not the first time something like this happens. but last time the problem just disappeared after a few retries...
please help! i want to upload them to youtube as soon as possible!

iMovie uses QuickTime file formats or DV Stream files directly from a camcorder.
If your files don't open or play properly in QuickTime Player they will not "import" into iMovie.
If you're authoring on a PC you must keep this basic fact as part of your your export scheme.
iPod videos are usually 320X240 and will not look good when scaled up to DV dimensions. Some use 480 width MPEG-4 video codecs that could scale but you may not be happy with the results.
Most Windows exports use Windows only codecs and this is the reason you're not seeing the video. Try exporting as a DV format (blah.dv) from Movie Maker. It may only appear as an option export to .AVI using those codecs.

  • Import video into imovie ipad

    hello to all,
I saw the presentation about the Imovie and looks very nice, but, before buying the app for the ipad, I want to be sure that I can import a video recorded from a SONY Camera into the Imovie/ipad . Do anyone has the same situation?, is it possible to do?
    Thanks a lot
    Bruno

Most Sony video cameras record in formats that iMovie does not read.
What you need to look out for is if your camera, or the camera you intend to buy, records in either Quciktime, or mp4 files.
iMovie, and all video editing apps on iOS devices are limited to small subset of video formats.
So even if the camera records as Quicktime, the video may not play or edit in iMovie.
If you have a camera, then take it into an Apple store or Apple retailer) and ask them to plug the camera in and see if it works; iMoive tends to be on all demo iPads.
If you have an iPad but intend to get a camera, then buy the camera connection kit for your iPad.
And go to camera stores and plug the cameras in and test if they work.
This is currently the only way to test if the video will work or not.
    Hope that helps.
