Improper display with Currency/Unit in drilldown

Hi ,
There are 2 KFs in the query , 2nd KF is one level down (i.e inside the triangle of first KF) .
KF's are :
Net value
Net val in doc currency
when i drill down on Currency/unit it just drills down by statistics currency (i.e for first KF) it doesn't display other currencies for KF Net val in doc currency .
But when i bring the 2nd KF to same level as first KF (i.e outside triangle) it works properly .
Can any one tell me the reason if you had a similar case .
I think it's some front end problem ?
Thanks
Gururaj

Gururaj,
I think that it is normal behaviour.
When you drill down by currency, the 1st KF is drilled down. For example, after drill down you have several rows (columns) with particular statistics currencies.
The currency shown in each particular row (column) acts like a filter for subordinate nodes.
If your doc currency doesn't equal to statistics currency, nothing will be shown.
Best regards,
Eugene

  • Preventing display of currency unit infoobject values in a report

    Hi,
For a currency type key figure, there is a currency unit infoobject specified. This has INR (Indian Rupees) as its value in the infocube for all the records. When I display the KF in a report, the value of the associated currency unit also gets displayed with it. Is there any way to not get this display of the associated currency unit other than not having any currency unit values in the infocube?

    Hi Jr,
    Thanks, that works.

    Hello Ayesha,
We had the same requirement. So we copied MB52 to ZMB52 and added a new selection for the AUM. Additional coding was also done for the UoM conversion.

    Hi Sebastian,
Yes it can be possible to get the currency unit along with currency in ur report.
To do this, first of all u need to have the currency unit in ur flat file or else in ur data.
If u have so, here are the steps to do that.
1.Double click ur amount info object under 'currency/unit of measure tab' , in the unit/currency field just give as 0currency.
2.And then activate ur info object.
3.In Transformations u will find another field '0currency', just map it to the amount field.
and then do the process as usally loading data to target, and the execute the report.
u will be able to see currency unit filed also.
    hope this helps u.
    Thanks,
    Sai Chand.

  • Display currency  unit  field in FM reuse_alv_grid_display

    Hi friends,
I am using ALV list, I want to display the currency field as a column in the list , also the '$' sign should get displayed in the amount field .
I have used the logic given in the SAP help, but i am unable to display the currency unit.
can anybody help me out .
Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

    Hi Poonam,
I think you cannot have the $ sign in the same amount field if you have declared it as a TYPE CURR field.
YOu can have an extra field, immediately after the Amount Field which has a value '$' in it.
If you want to have the dollar sign in the field itself, then concatenate the amount field and '$' sign into a common field and build a field catalog for that field.
But there is an inherent disadvantage with this approach that you will not be able to have utilities like totals, subtotals etc.
    Welcome to SDN..:)

  • Problem with showing unit-label

    Hi All,
i just have a problem with controls that have two displays (like
slider). I need the digital display with an unit-label. But when I
enable showing the label it appears two times and I have no chance to
disable one. Is there a methode that I can reach my target?
    bye
    Henrik

There is a way but it rather looks like a bug in LabVIEW...
The object must be a control and the VI must be in Run Mode or running:
Select the text in the unit label of the digital display and delete it.
It can generate insane object errors if you manipulate the object further,
thus it is safer just to hide the label.

  • Subject: Displaying key figures without currency unit in BEX reports

    Hello,
Is it possible to display key figures without currency unit in BEx reports? For example; Material Costs 1000 EUR
should be shown as 1000. Currency unit EUR and also scaling factor (*1000 EUR) does not interest us.
When we use display options in query properties, we just see an option of displaying key figures with/without scaling factors, which does not solve our problem.
    Thanks for your reply.

    Hi Eugene,
thank you very much for your quick reply. We have very detailed reports with min. 10 columns, I should have defined 10 more formula columns to realize this (NODIM), but anyway there is no other way to do this, am I right?

  • UDF with Currency Display

I have created a UDF (Units & Totals type) for Good Receipt PO rows that must display a USD amount. I have tried Price, Rate and Amount with no luck.  Not only will the UDF not display a currency indicator, it will not hold the decimal places as entered in the Display tab of General Settings once the field is no longer in focus.  Any numeric value entered defaults to 0 decimal places.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Suda,
Sorry to keep at this, but I want to make sure I understand and am not just making a rookie mistake.  If I add a UDF with a structure of Price, I should NOT expect to see that field displayed as a price (i.e. currency), but it will be maintained in the db as a price?  And further, if I add this UDF to a printed form, even then it will NOT display as a price, only as a numeric field?
(If I could give you more than the alloted 10 points, I would.  You've been very patient and helpful!)

  • S_ALR_87012178 to display with document currency

    Hi Expert,
I tried to run report S_ALR_87012178 and always got the result with local currency, while I want the result with document currency.
I see another thread that sap note 769338 will help. I tried and it does work.
Is there anyone who has the experience of using this report.
Thanks a lot in advance for your reply.
    Chih-Ming

    Hi
    regarding report on trx S_ALR_87012178:
when you choose the input parameter
    "Summarization level (0-6)"  : '6'
program RFDOPR10 will automatically set the other parameters as follows:
    "OI sorted list sorting(1,2)": '1'
    "OI list summarization(0-2)" : '1'.
Consequently it is not possible to only display foreign currency items when using summarization level 6.
The reason why the program works as it does is the following:
when you display foreign currency items it is always necessary to also display the currency.
Without the currency information the OI total would just not make much sense. Summarization level 6, however,
forces the output of the data in only one line.
Since only 132 characters can be printed in one line there is not enough space for additional output of the currency.
Thus it is technically just not possible to also display the currency.
The combination of "summarization level" 6 and "OI sorted list sorting" 2 therefore is technically impossible.
If you want to see the document currency please use summarization level 1.
Please also take a look at note 769226 for more details on this issue.
    Kind Regards

  • Currency field to be displayed with commas and asterisks(formatting)

I have a field REGUH-RWBTR in my sap script code. I need to have the currency displayed with commas. And also if the digits are less, then left pad it with asterisks for remaining spaces.
For eg, If the Digit is 12345678912.23 (max value), it should print as 12345,678,912.23.
And If the digit is 12345.89, it should print as ******12,345.89
Please help me to solve this problem. Its urgent.

    Hello,
You can use the WRITE using EDIT MASK.
    USING { {NO EDIT MASK}|{EDIT MASK mask} }
    Effect
This addition overrides a conversion routine defined through reference to the ABAP Dictionary. The addition NO EDIT MASK only switches off the execution of an assigned conversion routine. The addition EDIT MASK calls either another conversion routine or defines an edit mask. For mask, a data object of the same name is expected.
In order to call an arbitrary conversion routine CONV, mask must contain two equals signs, followed directly by the name of the conversion routine: "==CONV". During output, the content of dobj is passed to the function module CONVERSION_EXIT_CONV_OUTPUT, converted there, and then the result is displayed. If the function module is not found, an exception that can be handled is triggered (as of Release 6.10). The statement DESCRIBE FIELD contains an addition in order to fill mask accordingly.
If the output length is specified explicitly with len, the conversion routine is executed for the specified length; otherwise for the implicit output length. If * or ** is specified for the output length, the appropriate rules are used for the converted result.
If the first two characters in mask are not equals signs, the content is interpreted as an edit mask in which some characters have a particular meaning. The WRITE statement does not then output the content of dobj directly, but the character string in mask as follows:
If the first two characters in mask are "LL" or "RR ", these are not output, They control whether the edit mask is left-justified or right-justified. If the first two characters are other characters, the edit mask is left-justified.
All "_" characters are replaced from the left (in the case of "LL") or from the right (in the case of "RR") with characters for character-type types or numbers for the types p or i from dobj. In the case of fields of type c, closing blanks are ignored. Data objects of type f or x are converted into type c before editing. Superfluous characters "_" in mask are replaced by blanks. Characters from dobj for which there are no characters "_" in mask are not displayed.
If dobj is of type i or p, the first character from the left "V" in mask is replaced with "-" in the case of a negative number and by blank in the case of a positive number.
All the other characters of the edit mask are displayed unchanged.
If no output length is specified, the implicit output length of dobj is used. If len is specified for the output length, the value of len is used. If * is specified for the output length, exactly that length that is required for the list display is set. If, in Unicode systems, characters of the edit mask are replaced by characters that take up more than one column on the list, the output length is increased accordingly and the output is filled with blanks in the list buffer. If ** is specified for the output length, double the length of the edit mask mask is used.
If other formatting options are specified concurrently for an edit mask, these are used first and then the special characters in the edit mask are replaced by the interim result. The date masks date_mask are an exception to this. If these are specified, the edit mask is ignored.
    Notes
In Unicode systems, you must remember that a character "_"in the edit mask does not necessarily correspond to a column in the list display since the space required in the display depends on the character to be replaced.
The minus sign for a negative number is not displayed if no edit character "V" is specified. The decimal separator of a packed number with decimal places must be specified at the required position in the edit mask.
    Example
Edited output of time duration. In the first output, the function module CONVERSION_EXIT_DURA_OUTPUT is executed. This converts the duration specified in seconds into minutes. In the second output, the edit mask is output according to the above rules. However, the underscore characters "_" are replaced by the characters from time.
    DATA: dura TYPE i,
          time TYPE t VALUE '080000'.
    dura = sy-uzeit - time.
    time = dura.
WRITE /(30) dura USING EDIT MASK '==SDURA'.
WRITE /(30) time USING EDIT MASK
                           'RRThe duration is __:__:__'.
