In adobe reader app on iPad, I have a PDF document that added notes and comments to. Once I left the document and returned to it, the notes and comments were gone. Where are they? I clicked "save" and "done" buttons after I entered text.

The application auto-saves your input when you close the document. If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible). Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.

First show the Documents list, and in the upper left tap the Edit button. A toolbar in the upper left you'll see a folder icon with a + superimposed. Tap that and you'll be prompted to Create a Folder. Enter the folder name and tap the Save button and your new folder will appear in the Documents list.

Need help with Adobe Reader App on ipad

Hi, I downloaded the adobe reader app on my ipad recently and saved lots of documents in it under the “Document” tab. I do my backup on iTune regularly. But I am unsure if all my documents in that app will be backup in my iTune. What worries me is that next time when I buy a new ipad, I cannot transfer the documents over. Any help? Or do I have to painstakingly upload them to Acrobat.com? Is that a storage limit for Acrobat.com? Thank you!

You can back up your all document via iTunes. Tethered your device with your Desktop/Mac and open up iTunes. Select your device from the left hand window, and go to the apps screen , scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and then select Adobe Reader from the list.Now select all the document and tap on Save to option and enter the location where you want to save the PDF. Hope this will solve your problem of back up.
However, you can back up your file to Acrobat.com and storage limit for this is 2GB.

I can't see to find the solution of this problem anywhere.
Is it possible to transfer the pdfs saved in the Adobe Reader app to a PC (not a mac, I don't have one).
Basically, I want to be able to plug my ipad into my PC and take the pdfs and transfer straight to my PC without going through any other means.

I do not have any iOS devices, but if I connect my Android device to my Windows PC, I use Windows Explorer to view, then copy (drag-and-drop) the files from the Android directory straight to my local disk on Windows. I am pretty sure it works similarly with iOS devices.

I wonder for the free Adobe Reader apps that I can found in Apps Store. Do its function are the same as those normal Adobe Reader, which is designed for using on PC / laptop? Any function in the free Adobe Reader apps will be missing due to the design? I wanna to know for the most important function in Adobe Reader for myself, the highlight pen function. My itunes were transferred where are they

All my files from my Macbook were tranferred to my new Mac Air by Future Shop. All I can find is a quick view of them which has each song begin part way thorugh. I checked under my account and it shows all my purchases so where are they? Can't find my playlists either.

Adobe Reader 9.x crashes when opening some pdf files that work fine with Adobe Reader 8.x

Adobe Reader 9 crashes when opening approximately 10% to 20% of the pdfs in my collection. The remaining 80% to 90% work without problems. The pdfs are launched by double-clicking the pdf file from Windows Explorer. The crashes occur with both v9.0 and v9.1. The pdfs that crash in v9.x work fine in older versions of Adobe Reader, such as v8.1.3. Furthermore, this behavior also occurs on all 3 virtual machine hosted on the same physical machine, with default Adobe Reader settings, for both v9.0 and v9.1. The virtual machines have little running in memory except standard Windows executables - i.e. they are fairly pristine. The operating systems for the virtual machines are XP SP3, XP SP2, and Windows Server 2003.

To sum up, this problem happens on both a real computer running XP SP3, and also on all 3 virtual machines hosted on the same physical computer. I tried changing the Reader setting to not use hardware rendering, to no avail. I also tried various Data Execution Prevention settings in Windows, to no avail. All operating systems, the real and virtual ones, do not have problems with other programs that I use. I also tried a second machine with Adobe Reader v9.1 and the same exact problem pdfs, and had no issues. Thus, the problem happens on only one of the computers, but on the real and 3 virtual operating systems on that machine. There were no errors reported during any of the Reader installations. The virtual machines had no prior versions of Reader prior to Reader installation.

I did further testing of 10 single page pdf files which I created from a single book. All 5 pdf files with images crashed in Reader v9.1. 0 of the 5 pdf files without images crashed in Reader v9.1. Reader v8.1.4 crashes on none of the 10 pdfs. Note that the crash always occurs in jp2klib.dll, which according to the file property description is 'JPEG2000 Core Library', which deals with images. So it seems the issue is in Adobe's jp2klib.dll, in combination with the hardware/software that I have. I used Microsoft's DirectX Diagnostic Tool to test DirectX, including visual tests of DirectDraw and Direct3D - everything worked as expected with no issues detected. If you want to read pdf files in adobe. You need to add adf files to adobe directly. For this you need to connect your device and go to apps section. In that section select adobe then right side you will get a window. In that window you can add pdf files.

It IS a good functionality to have. Unfortunately, Reader IS NOT an editor and doesn't have it. Only Acrobat Professional can add bookmarks to a PDF.

Did you download them direct to your IPad or to your computer. If so unless you have synced your iPad with your computer since you downloaded they are still on your Ipad unless you deleted them or if they were rentals the time ran out.
To check on your iPad launch the iPod APP on your Ipad if a movie listing does not show then click on the iPad button under your library list column and it should then show your movies etc
Or launch the Video App and look for them there
if you have downloaded them on your computer they will show up in iTunes the cartoons i suspect will show under TV and the Movie under Movies.
A rented item expires 30 days after you rent it or 24 hours after you begin playing it, whichever comes first. Expired rentals are deleted automatically. After you transfer a rental to your iPad etc, it is removed from your iTunes library.
Outright puchases are obviously yours to keep.
