In Events, want to scroll through window-sized images...
Searched a bit on this, and haven't found a "yes" but thought I would check to see the current thinking.
What I was hoping to do, was utilize the Apple mouse scroll button to easily view all the photos in an event, when they were clicked on to become window-sized. I know I can use the forward and back arrow keys to wander through the set, but the mouse is much more handy (and, I'm afraid, what I was used to with PSE and a scroll-wheel mouse on the PC.) It does let me use the scroll for the thumbnail view, and I'm just hoping I'm missing a setting to allow me to scroll the full-size pictures, too?
This is a useful tool for flipping back and forth when comparing two very similar pics, when trying to select the better one, for example.

Unbelievable! 100s pf apps and not even sorted alphabetically, you just have to have free time to hunt because sony developers didnt have the time to code a simple search feature! I wish i knew this before i bought the tv I would definitely go for another brand!

Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

Strange phenomenon when scrolling through develop module images in LR6
I just upgraded to LR6 and so far like what I see as far as performance increases.
Noticed a strange phenomenon today while scrolling through the images in the develop module. These are all rendered images with a preset applied to them.
I notice when I use the arrow key to go to the next image, the image first displays very "flat" or basic and then the rendered image appears a second or two later. If I scroll back the image displays normal rendered.
It is only when I go about 2-3 images back it starts to display the same issue of non-rendered to then a rendered image. If I scroll forward to images I have not seen yet it does the same thing of showing a non-rendered image to a rendered image.
I think I narrowed this down to the "Use the graphics processor" option. If I turn this off the image loads a lot slower but only displays the rendered version and not the flat and then rendered version.
Turning the GPU option back on immediately does the dual image version. Strange and hard to explain but not sure if anyone else has seen this.

I like the old firefox much better. When I go to Google --> images and type in "spider", Google tells me that 57,800,000 images were found, but only 30 (or so) are displayed now and there doesn't seem to be a way to access more images. Prior to the upgrade, I could scroll through page after page of images to find the best image for my needs. Tools --> options didn't provide any solutions.
rimsx: Thank you once again for the ideas. No error message is generated. I did try disabling all extensions to see if that did anything, too, and restarting firefox.
I work on a government computer, so maybe it's a problem getting through our firewall! Who knows? Chrome and Internet Explorer allow me to search through pictures, though, so I've got other options. For some odd reason, I was a little partial to firefox.
The way things work around here is that I can try using firefox again in a few months and everything will work perfectly!!!!

Scrolling through text file records issue?

I am having an issue when trying to scroll though my saved contacts.
On boot up they all work fine, and each record goes in its corresponding textfield. Now I cannot scroll left and right through the records, to display each new record.
I tried making a marker at the end of each set, by putting a -1, -2 and so on per record, to distinguish the end of a record set. With the below however when I click right, and it just puts a -1 in the textfield??
How do I get the program to distinguish the difference between the end of a record and the details of a new one?

I understand what you saying with the stringtokenizer.
However my text file would have loads of rows of contacts. My problem comes in where when I want to scroll through those rows, I need them to be display on my GUI which has a Jtextfield per contact detail type, IE one for name and another surname and so on.
Now when the program loads, it reads in the first contact set fine. If I want to read the second contact set, I am stuck. Same again applies if I want to scroll back throgh the contacts? How do I do this?
As you can see in the default constructor, there is a whole batch of while loops getting text initally for the JTextfields. If I could change this just to read the second through in and so on when hitting left or right, problem solved.

What do mean by "scroll the window to a desired percentage"? Do you want to open a macro in design view? If so, I think you could try to select the macro object and send the key "CTRL +ENTER" to achieve, some key code like below:

If you want to scroll the window to a desired percentage, I am afraid that it is not achievable, you need to scroll the window manually.

Bug: Scrolling through large image in email
It is not possible to scroll through a large image in an email. One can only either go excruiciatingly slowly, or the view just flies at full speed from one side of the image to the other, with no way to view parts of the image that are not on the edges.
I preview throught XML publisher client on XP.

When I go to a day, I want to see a list of my events for that day in order, together, not have to scroll through 24 hours.
You can tap on the magnifying glass in the upper right and see a list view.

When I open Pages it scrolls through numerouss blank pages with a line at the side 1st, then settles on an old saved pages document.I then have to go to "open recent" to select the one I want. Why?No
It's the 1st version of Pages I've had on my computer.
Can't delete them as they scroll through them at a rapid pace. The longer I've had the problem the more blank pages it scrolls through. -
Can't scroll through PDF in an inactive window/can't email from Chrome
I've been using the built-in Chrome PDF viewer up to this point. I changed over to the Adobe Viewer plugin because it allows me to email the PDF directly from the browser window/tab while the Chrome viewer does not. However, it seems I've traded one feature for another... With the Chrome PDF viewer, I could move the tab containing the PDF into its own window on a separate screen, click on a text field in another window, put the cursor back on the PDF (without clicking) and scroll through it with the mouse wheel while SIMULTANEOUSLY typing in a text field in the original Chrome tab. Basically, the cursor just sits on the PDF window, scroll when I need to and I type in another window. However, when I activate the Adobe Reader plugin, I can no longer do this; I have to click on the PDF within the new Chrome tab, scroll, then click on the text field on the other Chrome field. It may not sound like a big deal, but I am sifting through literally thousands of documents a day looking for specific information then documenting that information on another screen, so being able to type and scroll without the constant back-and-forth clicking is extremely helpful. I've tried dozens of seemingly related options in Adobe Reader, but I cannot find any combination of settings in Documents, General, Page Display or Internet that yield the desired result.
The flip side of my dilemma, as hinted in the beginning, is that I need the ability to email PDFs directly from the browser without saving it to the computer (i.e., the email icon on the Reader toolbar opens an Outlook email window). As best as I can tell, there is no way to do that with the built-in Chrome PDF viewer and thus I switched to the Adobe Reader.
Ultimately, I don't care whether I wind up with Reader that allows the scrolling functions that I desire or Chrome Viewer that allows me to email, though I'd prefer to just stick with the Chrome PDF viewer if that's possible.

I'll try to clarify the problem.
On screen one I have a Chrome window open with data fields and a list of links that take me to PDFs. On screen two I have another Chrome window open; when I click on the PDF links on screen one, the PDF opens on screen two. (1) I move the cursor to one of the text fields on screen one and start typing. (2) I then move the cursor (without clicking) over to screen two and using the mouse wheel, scroll down in the document. (3) Next, I continue typing in the text field on screen one - again, my cursor is still on screen two, having just scrolled down. (4) I'll then scroll some more and (5) continue typing in the text field on screen 1, open a new PDF and repeat. Again, the issue Adobe Reader plugin causes is that it creates extra steps between 1 & 2 (I have to click on the PDF to scroll), 2 & 3 (I have to move the cursor back to screen one and click in the text field), 3 & 4 (I have to move the cursor back to the PDF and click again to scroll), etc. etc. -
I cannot access Content Library in iMovie - Content Library doesn't show on the iMovie screen and is greyed out when accessed through "windows" tab at the top. Also unable to update the projects/events (a suggested solution for a similar question). I haven't had this issue before, I have always used the content library on the screen but haven't used this for about a month. How can I make the Content Library available?

And surely if I am backing up the whole computer these projects/videos will be backed up too? I wasn't sure how to do this any other way and I am clearly not great with tech issues. I have been looking at Parallels or VMware in order to use Windows but then I will also need to get a Windows license. Just looking for the most inexpensive way possible as this will probably be the only Windows app I run.
Also looking at this CrossOver software which says you dont need Windows license. Anyone used this before? had success?CrossOver's website has a list of software it has certified as working or working with known issues - Quicken 2012 has a bronze rating meaning it runs but with enough issues that it isn't recommended. In other words, "Run away!"
Get a copy of Windows 7 OEM from Amazon or New Egg and give it a try with VirtualBox (an open source virtualization program). If VirtualBox doesn't cut it you can always buy VMWare or Parallels. -
ICal problem scrolling through all-day events
Not quite sure how to describe this but making easy to understand.
I organise my daily events using iCal on my mac and sync them to my iphone running the latest iphone updated software. I place all my things to do as an all-day event and at present has 21 events in there.
The phone scrolls through events no problem when I don't have a lot of events in the all-day event part but when I try to look at for example todays events with 21 items at the all-day part at the top it won't let me scroll and only shows 14 events instead of the 21?
Any ideas?This appeared to be a timezone issue, when daylight savings time came around the iPod and iCal dates synchronized correctly.

I so not see the date as I scroll through my events and I have my preferences set to 'show informational overlay'. They only date I see is below the event. What am I doing wrong?
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
