In full screen mode (with "Hide Toolbars" selected), is there a way to make FF stop bumping the page up and down everytime I move the mouse to the top of the screen to reveal/hide the toolbar?

In other words, is there a way to make FF behave like IE9 in full screen mode where the toolbar appears "over" the page rather than pushing the page down?

Regarding your second query, I am afraid it is not possible using Adobe Muse. However it can be a very nice feature request.

I have finally taken the step of updating my iPhone 4S to iOS8 after learning the hard way last update to wait for the bugs to be worked out. I was horrified to find that the battery was being sucked dry in no time at all. After finding a great article posted elsewhere on the apple forums, I went through and turned off all unnecessary options involving the use of cell data, location services and background refreshing. My battery life has thankfully returned to what it was before the update.
HOWEVER, now, every time I open an app for which I turned these things off, the window informing me of that pops up.   I am getting really irritated by this as I made all of these decisions deliberately and am well aware that I may need to go back and change them in order to activate certain capabilities when I want to use them. I had done the same thing with the last iOS, but there were far fewer that needed to be turned off and the battery life seemed to be less affected by those that I left on so it was not the annoyance it has become now.
Is there any way to make the phone stop presenting me with these idiot messages?   TIA

How to make the Page UP and down work on a table control screen?

Dear all,
Can some one suggest how to make the table control screen work with Page Up and Page down controls.
when I press on Page down it works for the first time and after that i need to select the table to make it work the second time. it there a way I can make the index on the screen stay on the table control at all times.

How can I get my G5 OSX 10.5.8 to quit trying to handle my mail? I have yahoo and when im on a site the computer wont ley me contact them unless i sign up for mail plus which you have to pay for. Is there a way to make it stop?

when I'm on a web site and I need to contact them the Mac wont let me do it. I have Yahoo mail but It wants me to sign up for yahoo's mail plus account which cost money so it can communicate with them. I dont want mail plus and I dont want to have to use different mail then my yahoo account. The only way with what you desire & have is to Right click or Control+click on the eMail link on the site, choose Copy Email Address, open Yahoo Mail in your Browser, New Message, then Paste in the To: bar.
WebMail is a real pain, Yahoo is a pain... are you sure you wouldn't like to modernize & streamline things with a new free POP or IMAP accont like HotMail/Live.com, or GMail?

I'm actually quite peeved about all this iCloud stuff, shafting of MobileMe members with no clarity about long term availability of features many pay for above and beyond e-mail/contacts/calendars (my family pack renewed a couple of weeks ago, this is just like the .Mac transition debacle), US only rollouts of redownloading music purchases to iTunes (like the AppleTV global content apartheid we see), continual need to upgrade to latest hardware to run iOS 4/5, older pre Core 2 Duo machine unable to run Lion.......there's a pattern and I'm getting rather fed up with Apple dumping support for things.
Oh and while I'm at it how about the situation that those who've purchased using multiple Apple IDs cannot use the Cloud for more than one ID at a time, and changing disables the ability to change back for 90 days - I'm not one but there are many users who have more than one ID because they've changed e-mail addresses or have devices used by more than one family member.
With all the hoo-hah surrounding Sony getting hacked, I'm not honestly sure I want my stuff in the Cloud for Apple or anyone else to peruse.

I updated to the latest version and now I do not have the page controls at the right hand side and bottom and can only move the page up and down using the mouse scroll wheel. I also cannot see the whole page I am trying to view.

When I open the web browser I cannot see the whole page and I cannot move the image sideways and must use the mouse scroll to move up and down.

Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

HT4085 A particular game app always mutes playback of my music/podcasts even though I have the game sounds muted. Is there any way to make it stop?

The game has sound controls in its options and I have turned all the sounds off, but it still mutes playback of my music/podcasts whenever I go into the game. Is there any way to stop it? other games I play do not do this.

I am having a problem using my laptops touch pad to scroll the page up and down.

When I try and run my finger down the side of my little mouse pad attached to me Sony Viao it shows a slidding option as if it recognizes i am trying to scroll however it wont actually preform the action. It works in say Microsoft Outlook or One Note or any other non-internet application. I switched to Firefox from Chrome so that I might be able to scroll. Its very frustrating if anyone can help me that would be great

Is there a way to make keynote "draw" a line over a period of time. In some cases I can "fake" it using a wipe but if the line double backs on itself, it is not what I would like. Suggestions? Enhancement request?

The wipe does not have the desired effect. I would think the appropriate name for what I want would be "Draw". I want the line to be drawn from one end to the other in a specified amount of time.

create 2 draw shapes showing as a single coloured line;
one that shows the line from the starting point at the left to the furthest point it extends to the right
the second line starts from the end point of line 1 to the furthest point it extends to the left
add a wipe to line 1, wiping from left to right
add a wipe to line 2, wiping from right to left, which automatically builds after build 1, with no delay
when played back it will look like a single wipe

Hello, I'm a new mac guy having just bought an i-mac a few months ago.
I have a bunch of saved movies that open in quick time. Each time I open a separate movie by double clicking the file, the window opens in the upper right hand corner in a fairly small window. I must then drag the window size and location to a much larger size. I do this every time.
I saw under quicktime, preferences, a section about preferences for full screen. This seems to work one time, for that movie, but all subsequent movies (even in full screen) or their same size.
Is there a way to make the window size and/or location permanent?

i often use the shift apple 4 key board shortcut to make selected screen grabs, although I was wondering is there a way to make screen grabs a higher resolution than the standard 72dpi?

You can't increase the resolution of an image except in printing. If you print at a smaller size the you'll be squeezing more pixels in a smaller area thus increasing the dpi resolution of the print. But you can increase the resolution of the image file generated by the screenshot. Well, you can with Photoshop by resampling but it's never as good as the original. Screenshots are 72 dpi (or whatever the screen is - some at 92 or so) with the pixel dimensions as displayed on the screen.

Is there a way to make an anchor link display a different colour when selected? (active state)

I have a vertically scrolling site I am trying to set up, and it's all going well. Only problem is when you use the menu (widget or non-widget) to move to an anchor link, thus bringing in the next section, I can't get the link to diplay as a different colour.
This would be good for letting the user know what section is infront of them.
Is there a way to do this?
One other question: Is there a way to get an anchor link to display centrally in the middle of the page up and down. I can arrange it so it looks good in one browser window, but as soon as the user has more vertical space it seems to diplay a set distance from the top. I guess what I'm asking is can the anchor link define the center point instead of the top point?

Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar -blue

For some reason the 'Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar' option has a blue background now. The background used to be gray, and then one time i opened up Photoshop and now the background is blue. It is very annoying and affects my painting. The grey was neutral, now it is blue so my colors are going to appear off.
If you don't know what i mean: Open Photoshop, make a canvas (new image) Hit the key "F" on your keyboard 2 times so the canvas takes up the entire page but the menu bars are still up. The color around the canvas is Blue, when it has ALWAYS been gray.
Please someone tell me how to fix this.

I found out a solution. If anybody ever encounters this problem just right click on the background and select Gray. :)

Full Screen Mode with Window Tabs? (Mac)

I have never been able to use Full Screen Mode / Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar because my Window Tabs disappear.
Until now I have ignored this but I really want to start making the most of my screen space. I don't understand how people can go into full screen mode without tabs of their open documents. It makes the experience completely useless to me and I can't believe I can't find any solutions online. I feel like I am overlooking a simple button somewhere on the screen thinking "surely Adobe would include this!?"
Please help.

Putting in a feature request for tabs in full screen mode is a good idea. One thing Photoshop could do in full screen mode is reveal the menu bar and tabs when the mouse is near the top of the screen. This is sort of an ad-hoc standard in tabbed apps like Chrome and Firefox. Even Adobe Photoshop Lightroom reveals the menu bar in this way, but Photoshop continues to use the same full screen behavior that it had back in the 1990s, when it was one of the few full-screen apps available.
One workaround is to turn off Window > Application Frame, and when you're in full screen mode use Lion's Mission Control to pick a specific window. This works even better if you use or assign a shortcut to view the windows of a single application.
