If you need to adjust the font size on websites then look at:
* Default FullZoom Level - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/6965
* NoSquint - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2592

Would you rather upgrade to windows 8, BlackBerry or Android phones? Do you honestly think those don't have problems?

You can also manage all permissions on the about:permissions page via the location bar.
Use "All Sites" to set the defaults.
You can open about:xxxx pages via the location bar like you open a website.
• How can I stop firefox from redirecting me to the stupid survery every time I open a new page?

Every time I open up the browser, starting this morning, it redirects me to a survey. Every time I open up a new tab or page, it redirects me to a survey.

this sounds like an issue witha dware/malware on your computer. please try all these steps:
# reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
# afterwards go to firefox > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
# finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

• An unwanted bookmark window appears every time I open a new page

When I open a new page I very frequently get a window full of bookmark folders on the left of the screen. It takes up space and I have to close it over and over and over. I can't find a preference that will make it go away forever.

I upgraded to Firefox/3.6.3 on April 7, 2010. I am running OSX 5.8 on a G5 PowerPac Mac. This problem happens when I click on a link that opens a new window on my Mac. The new window then automatically opens with the history left bar open. It is not occurring when I simply open a new window myself.

• Every time I add a new page of pictures, it rebuilds entire site.

and even if I create a new "Site" it rebuilds the entire set of sites.
(eg I created a subdomain xyz.com/subsite, and it still rebuilds everything else in xyz.com)
What am I doing wrong. I don't think this is related to the discussion of domains.
I'm trying to publish to a folder, not .Mac
WHY OH WHY CAN'T IT JUST REBUILD WHAT CHANGED!!!!
Please help if I'm missing something.
And no, I'm not going to spend 80 bucks or whatever upgrading something brain dead apple should have gotten right the first time. Why not support incremental building in the first place.

You can try to disable Sync temporarily to see if that makes it possible to create a folder.
Where are you creating this folder?
In the Library or elsewhere (Bookmarks menu, Bookmarks Toolbar, or Bookmarks sidebar)?

• Firefox was infected with a virus or spywar and now tries to pop up a certain site every time I load a new page or refresh.

A few days ago my computer was infected with a virus from my antivirus license running out without me knowing it. Ever since then every time I load a page in firefox or refresh it a pop up window to a site that my ESET antivirus blocks comes up. This will not stop and I can't figure out how to fix it. I've deleted all temporary files on my comp and tried reinstalling firefox from scratch and still won't go away. I'm running out of things to try and not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

• Almost every time I open a new page, and that page has an ad with movement or video, the browser page hides behind other open pages. This is really annoying.

I don't see any evidence that this is malware. For instance i opened a page that was for a major newspaper from Dallas. As i reached my cursor to the page, it hid behind the other pages, and i had to now reach down to my taskbar to find it again. When i did, i saw an ad on the page with movement (flash?). Anyway, the ad was for breast cancer awareness, and was made by that newspaper, which is why i think it has nothing to do with malware. Same thing happens everyday with normal sites like Yahoo. Anytime an ad has movement or video, the page is only visible for a second, then hides behind the others. This has really become a major annoyance.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
* On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
* Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshooting extensions and themes article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.
Thank you.

I just upgraded my iphone and now whenever it goes to sleep I have to enter a password to open it. Very frustrating! Can I disable this annoying feature? I went to Settings and disabled the Find My Phone feature thinking that would do it. But it didn't.
I am somewhat infotech-challenged. So I would appreciate help on this. Thank you in advance.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, then an addon (like noscript or autofill) is causing this - you'll have to change that in the extension's preferences...

• Every time I open google news

Every time I open google news it brings up "Install this web app: tap on the share arrow above". I don't want to add it to my home screen, but do want to stop it from popping up every time I go to the news. Any ideas how to stop it from happening. (I even did add it hoping that would stop it, but that didn't help). By the way, this just started happening in the last few days.

But for the love of God they should be able to tell if I've logged in before. It use to only do it once, now it's every time... and I'm actually opening it up FROM that bookmark they implored me to create. And there's a little checkbox in the top corner; which appears to be fake... because it "fades away" after like 10 seconds regardless of how many times you click it. God google, why did you change things, forcing this stupid popup every time? Do you want us to hate you?
