By reinstalling iPhoto from either the disks that came with your Mac, the iLife disk you purchased or the Apps Store.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

I just upgraded to the latest software for my pages. When I opened an old document it stripped out all the images I had in my tables. How do I get them back
Don't save. Close the documents.
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages 5 will damage/alter older files, something Apple didn't tell its users.
Pages 5 is a severely stripped down version with over 90+ features removed.
We recommend trashing/archiving Pages 5 after Exporting any files you may have saved back to Pages '09.
Also rate/review Pages 5 in the App store.

Try force-closing the Mail app: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Mail in the list at the bottom, tap an hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, tap the home button again.

Check your email account. see if they are their, You can then import them on your DAV card, The best thing to is add them to icoud then they will be safe.

WHen we double tap the home button, only about half of the apps appear. How do we get them all o appear?
If an app freezes on you - you can try force quitting the app.
Force quit the app by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears. Let go of the sleep button and then hold down on the home button until the app quits. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

My daughter has somehow deleted itunes,app store and safari apps from my iphone. I backed up my iphone and then restored it to factory settings through itunes. I create a Project and when im working on it every thing is Fine, when finished I close the Project and Save it. But when i am ready to re open it later Only the SMPTE Meter is displays on My Deskktop with The Projects Name in it. Why wont the proect display?
Because you closed the main window before saving. Hit cmd-1 to get it back.

Will not let me change my alternate email address...says it's being used by another account. Don,t know what I have done.
It probably really is being used by another account. That account holder may be you, or it may have been an Apple ID used at one time in the past, which again may have been you. Doesn't matter which. Once it's used, it can no longer be used by anyone, ever again.
By "already in use" it means that email address might be an Apple ID, or an "alternate email address" associated with any Apple ID that has not been deleted from that Apple ID, or a "rescue email address" for an Apple ID that also has not yet been deleted. Therefore if you have another Apple ID go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and using the "Manage your Apple ID" button, check your account for alternate email addresses. If that email address is present, deleting it will make it available to use for an Apple ID.
Rack your brain for any other Apple IDs you may have used in the past. -

When I try uploading an iMovie to YouTube I keep getting a message to sign into YouTube when I am already!! I've done this in the past with no problem...including as recent as in December. Hope you can help ... Need for my students ASAP.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
