In manage add-ons, Adobe Flash Player is listed under Not Available, but is listed as enabled.

When trying to view something that needs flash player, it tells me that I need to have flash player to do this. So I go to install it, and it tells me it is already installed with my Windows 8. So, then it tells me to either Enable flash player or to disable Active x filtering. Active x filtering is not enabled, so I go to Manage add ons, and it shows that Shockwave Flash Object is listed under the heading NOT AVAILABLE, but is listed as being enabled. I have tried to reinstall flash player, but it won't let me because it is already installed. Not sure why it is showing up under Not Available, and not under the Adobe heading with my Adobe PDF reader. Can anyone tell me how to get flash player back from this point???

Now, If i hit allow it will allow it but it pops up on almost every new website i go to and i have to allow it each and everytime.
Yet my Adobe version is 10,0,32,18 as shown in the picture below.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled overwritten and uninstalled Internet Explorer 8 with no luck of getting rid of this annoying problem. So if anyone has a slight idea of how to fix this problem i'll try anything because i hate it when something isn't working correctly. (Yes, I've googled around for a good 2 hours with no luck)

Alright guy's It always happens. Over 90% of the time it's just a matter of time before i fix my own problems. I solved my problem and now it works perfectly fine.
I'm gonna say how i fixed it so who ever finds this page on google can see how i did it. I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player using the uninstaller from adobe http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe after i did that i went to my system32 folder and delete my adobe folder which still had files left over in it (Deleted the whole macromed folder) C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
Note, You need to exit any browser you have up (IE,Firefox,ect) or else you will not be able to delete it and it'll say access denied. After deleting that i installed Adobe Flash Player with a .exe i downloaded from Adobe and it worked perfect! No more annoying message
Side note, I'm use XP so the marcomed folder might possible be somewhere else if you are useing Vista or Windows 7.

Adobe Flash Player 10.1 is not working

My problem is that everything that uses flash player, does not work at the moment and says that I need the latest version. (I cannot see a video on you tube for example.)
I downloaded AFP 10.1 several times (install-uninstall-reboot several times), I even checked the "Add-remove programms" and the "Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X" is there, but when I get to see a youtube video it says again to get the latest version. Each install was successful, but it still doesn't work.
Here's some information about my computer in case of a need :
Windows XP Professional
Internet Explorer 8
Norton 360
and I also have some issues with pop-ups (I don't know if this is related)
Note that:Today I was asked to update the AFP on the firefox and I did and until now it works perfectly.
(I use both firefox and internet explorer)

Yes of course I kept MBAM on my desktop as a shortcut (was actually installed in C:\Program files) and it became my new friend .
I am so suspicious now on everything that I am scanning my pc everyday!!
I saw the scanning works without disabling Norton components, but you still think I have to do it , right?

It seems that going to Preferences>Security> Check allow plug ins, then manage sites, and then allowing one site allows all??? Seems like a lot to go through. I have installed the player 4 times now and just got it figured out!

Is there any timeline soon that apple users will be able to open things that need adobe flash player? I can not even play any games on Facebook, I can't open certain files, pictures sent to me or things like forms I news to see when I am not home

I am so frustrated about Adobe Flash player. I can not play any Facebook games, open certain files and pictures and documents that I need to access because not only does this phone not do it but my old Palm Pre couldn't do it either. I have had so many times where I needed to access things either online or via email, or message that I can not even look at because of this. I have to wait until I for home or ask someone else to do it for me which is embarrassing. I rave about my iPhone 4S all the time because it is truly great except for this. When it use to happen with my Pal Pre I figures once I got my iPhone that it wouldn't happen anymore but I guess I was completely wrong. I have had this problem for years and always get a message saying that it's being worked on. Well a couple of years is a long time to work on it. I understand about contracts and stuff but why is it taking a company such as Apple to be able to get it for their products? I get a lot and always want to play the games on Facebook but I can't do it on most of them at least the ones I have tried. So I can not play against anyone at that time I have to wait until I get home or use someone else's computer or something. Please tell me that in the extremely near future that this will not be a problem anymore. PLEASE!! I am sure I am not the only one out there who is having issues and if you do get it available please let there be an upload/upgrade for current phones and not just for future versions of Apple phones. That just wouldnt be very fair to all of your loyal customers and tell everyone to get your products because they are great and end up leaving this little problem out until they by your phone. Especially if they just got the phone they have. You guys are awesome with technology I have faith that you can make this available to all Apple products old and new by uploads or upgrades. Thank you hopefully can give me some info about the status with this or if there wen is one. I would have thought that being a company such as you are that it would already be taking care of right from the beginning and not wait years to take care of somewhat that is very important ro have especially when there is so much our there using Adobe Flash now. Ziatron is correct that Flash does not work on an iPad, but it does work on a Mac. See Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.160.

Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

One of the following steps should help.
1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

2. Enable Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security

You can't get rid of an alert. The least you can have is one that says "none".
Nevermind, I see you learned how to edit the event.
