The search results pane is gone in V3. If it's critical, stay in V2. I'm not being flippant, I have certain documents that I very carefully keep away from V3 because I don't want to give up the V2 features for those particular files. Some users have reported problems with having both versions active at the same time, so it's best to quit one before launching the other, but other than that you just need to be careful not to open your V2 documents with V3.

Photos that were synced from a computer won't show for copying to a computer. If you want to copy them back then you will need a third-party app on your phone such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer (e.g. their dimensions might be different and their colours may look a bit different).

TomThat is a problem with an extension that tries to install a search bar. The tnt2toolbar should give you a clue about which extension. You didn't add troubleshooting information with the list of installed extensions, so I can't give a suggestion about which extension is causing this.
You can check for problems with preferences.<br />
Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js and user.js files to reset all prefs to the default value.

I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. Why can't there be a simple utility that shows me which device connected to my Airport is using how much of the bandwidth in a simple graphical or stats format without requiring me to be a level 10 Black Belt or Chuck Norris' paternal tooth fairy?
I need to see who is consuming the most bandwidth and limit that user/device. A very simple and dare I say it, legal, moral, and normal wish.They are not overloading the Airport. They are overwhelming the capacity of your Internet connection.
No. It's not "shared equally". That's not how packet switched networks function.
Most consumer grade routers do not have the ability to restrict bandwidth use on a per machine basis. You need relatively expensive (but readily available) equipment to do that.
How many people are on the network? It can't be that hard to hunt them down. -
The following error pop's up as an [OK] dialogue box after logging in the iMac,
There was a problem connecting to the server "Time Capsule".
The share does not exist on the server. Please check the share name, and then try again."
As it happens, a connection to the Time Capsule is established usually, anyway. On occasion it doesn't.
I have a Volume, Data, on the capsule, which similarly, usually mounts, but occassionally doesn't, with access permissions denied.
Any suggestions on how begin to work out how to achieve networking seamlesness?First, restart the Time Capsule by disconnecting the power adapter and reconnecting it. If other devices on the network can see it, you can skip this step.
From the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
Click the lock icon in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate to unlock the settings, if necessary. Click the Advanced button, then select the TCP/IP tab in the sheet that drops down. Click Renew DHCP lease.
Try again to back up.
If you still can't, open the Time Machine preference pane and delete the TC from the list of backup destinations. You may have to unlock the settings by clicking the lock icon in order to do this. Then add it back. -
What is going on here. I've waited 4 weeks for my ipad which will not do anything untill I've downloaded the latest version of itunes which I can't do because this message keeps appearing,

I was having a problem down loading photos, so I force quite all programs. Then there was problem launching finder. Relaunched and turned computer off to reboot. Now computer starts, but does not boot up I am stopped at a white blank screen

Basically, though, the version of TechTool on the AppleCare disks is not compatible with newer versions of OS X and/or Macs (I can't remember which). If you don't get a satisfactory response by posting in the appropriate iMac or OS X forum, I suggest you take your iMac to the geniuses at the Apple Store. You can set up an appointment time for the same day online before you leave home.

I can't sign into iCloud because my Apple ID doesn't work there. For some reason it gave me a .mac email and I don't remember the password. When it gives me the option to reset my password, it's my Apple ID password which I don't want to do. I have ended up chaning my Apple ID 3 times lately and I still can't get to my cloud management. In past versions of FireFox there was a view option that allowed a change in size of fonts and objects on the screen temporarily on the fly. This seems to be missing from version 6. It was very useful and needs to be added to version 6.
You can use "Ctrl +" and "Ctrl -" to zoom pages quickly and "Ctr 0" (zero) to reset the page zoom.

I recently had a shuffle stolen and wondered if there was any way apple can trace it if someone else tries to sync or use the ipod?
No, manufacturers generally do not track people's stolen property. The shuffle has no means to connect to the Internet so you can't track it yourself. Thankfully it's only $49.

My ipod keeps searching for network, even when the network info is all set properly. It has suddenly started doing this. Also, buffering forever... I have tried to reset the network few times, but not working.

I would be concerned too if my iPhone was acting this way. It sounds like it is overheating and not holding a charge. I recommend following the steps listed below when experiencing an issue like this:
Battery life seems short
Click ( www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html) for tips on how to prolong iPhone's battery life.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.

I tried to download a movie on my iPod touch but due to limited space, it did not download. Then, I checked my credit card online, and I found the money was already taken. How will I get it to download on another device with the same account? Also, I was wondering why they took my money even when it did not finish downloading let alone get downloaded?

Look, any officially unlocked GSM iPhone will work in India. You purchase from Dubai, no FaceTime, and Dubai is part of the UAE. You purchase anywhere but India, and you will have NO warranty or support. Frankly, doesn't make any sense to me why you want to do this...and don't bother telling me you save hundreds of dollars...still doesn't make any sense. Do a forum search here.
