Hi,
Try switching to Media view and then go to Find -> By Details.
Set the field to People and select the persons name.
You add further people by clicking on the + sign
The two options above the search criteria allow you to select all photos containing at least one or only ones with all of your selections.
The search can be saved in case you want to repeat it a later time.

Just bought Photoshop Elements 13...I'm trying to make a slideshow but can't figure out how to alter duration time that the slide is on the screen. They presently move from one to another way too quickly...also need a different pan and zoom option. Where are all the options I had in PS10? Also...Can I burn this to a DVD?
The changes have brought improvements but also drawbacks compared with the old slideshow editor.
The templates are now fairly fixed but I find the “Classic Dark” gives reasonable results with some panning and you can click the audio button and browse you PC for any track. Unfortunately there are only three speed choices linked to the music track. The improvement for most people is that you can now export to your hard drive at 720p or 1080p and upload to sites like YouTube and Vimeo. -
Multiple MIDI takes on the same track - can only find one in the editor?
After making several passes on an instrument track w/drum sampler on it I opened the piano roll editor to edit the data only to find only one of the passes represented there. I could only find the other passes when I moved the current one out of the track temporarily. There must be a better way to do this, can anyone hip me to the right way to edit all the data in the multiple passes at the same time? I can hear all the data, I just can't see all of it.
I'm doing this so I only have to instantiate the Virtual Instrument once in the session, CPU is always at a premium these days. I have done the bulk of my work in recent years in ProTools but I have found Logic Express 8 to be far more efficient with CPU load on my core 2 duo Macbook. I suspect I'm just missing something but I cannot seem to figure it out. Help?I appreciate your comments but my issue was in editing the already recorded tracks. If you can find in those pages where it shows how to view all the data from the already recorded multiple MIDI tracks at the same time in the piano roll window and be able to edit them I'd be much obliged if you would point those out to me. I double checked your recommendation after reading your first reply, the answer I needed was not there.
Evidently you can only select and view one region at a time no matter how many there are in the same track. I have searched the LE 8 pdf manual and also searched thru an Apple Logic Pro Training series book for version 7 JIC it had some additional insight into this particular issue and came up empty, that's why I was asking for additional insight on this panel. I always go to the documentation first - RTFM is first call for me.
I've already figured the workaround and I'll know better next time to allow Logic to create its own multiple take folders so as far as I'm concerned this case is closed. Thank you again for your input. -
I must have gotten a corrupted sector on my disk drive I place my Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 CD in the drive and it asked to install or repair or uninstall. I clicked repair and after a minute it asked for disk 1. I could not find a disk one and my case only has space for one disk. What should I do?
Jim Hamilton.PSE6 is a very old program (more than 6 years old) so what exactly are you trying to do? Have you got PSE6 already on your machine? If so, to uninstall it, all you need to do is to go to the Windows Control Panel and uninstall it under Add/Remove programs icon.
If you are trying to install it again on top of what is already installed then the best way is to uninstall it from the machine before installing again after rebooting. Also, if the disk happens to be damaged then try copying the contents from the disk to a temporary folder on your machine and then try installing from that temporary folder by clicking on the setup.exe file.

Can only select items with direct selection tool
I have been working on a design: one layer, with multiple groupings, nothing is locked. I'm trying to select the items with the selection tool, but can only select items with the direct selection tool (which is very inconvenient in this case). I can select the text with the text tool, but that really serves no purpose in my case. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? When I was working on it yesterday, everything was fine with all the tools. Thanks in advance.

It may be a corruption of preferences, or an issue outside Illy.
You may try to close down and just restart, or close down and restart pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cme+Option+Shift, or close down and use the suggestions in Move the folder or, if none of those suggestions help, have a look at the list in Other options -
How can I select multiple people when filtering media using Photoshop Premier Elements Organizer 11?
I noticed that in using Photoshop Premier Elements Organizer V10, I was able to select more than a single person when filtering media. For example, I may want to find all of my photos that have me with my cousin, John as well as my friend Norm in them. With Photoshop Priemier Elements Organizer 11, I can only filter on a single person or filter on a group of individuals. Using a group does not always match the specific filter that I am looking for. Was this an oversight in the new version?
(By the way, this feature is also missing with "Places" as well... For example, I would like to be able to select Austria, Switzerland, and Germany media when adding an Event for my "Trip to the Alps". I can only select one country at a time.)
Any suggestions? Can we get this feature back?Have you opened up the Filter menu, which opens along the top of the Organizer's Media Browser?
With it, you simply check the filters you want to apply, and the Media Browser will show you all media clips to which those filters applies. -

Do you mean Process Multiple Files? The trial version is exactly the same as the regular version, only it stops working after 30 days.

How do I import or move multiple selected photos to an existing album in iPhoto 9.6? In previous versions I could select and drag multiple photos into an album. Now I can only move one photo at a time. Help!
Try this general troubleshooting procedure:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox. -
photoshop elements 13 and premiere 13 purchased, downloaded and installed... but wont OPEN/LAUNCH.. HELLP!!?

My "os" is windows 8.1
When I clicked on the PHOTOSHOP 13 executable the photo editor popped up
along with an install option. Then I clicked install and then a update
failed message popped up. (I've attached a screen shot photo of that) Then
I clicked on error log and a "please quit and try again error code" message
popped up. (I've also attached a screen shot photo of that as well) so
after all that I closed everything and restarted my computer and clicked on
the PHOTOSHOP 13 executable again and it went straight to the photo editor
not the welcome screen (where I can choose either organizer or photo
editor)... why isn't there a welcome screen like before?
When I clicked on the executable for PREMIERE 13 there was two executable
options.. one that was labeled (PREMIERE 13 exe) and another that was
labeled just (PREMIERE exe) without the "13" so first I clicked on PREMIERE
13 exe and it took me to the welcome screen so then I clicked on video
editor the new project but nothing happened. ... the loading bar moves then
stops. So after that I closed it and went back to click the PREMIERE exe
and it took me straight to the video editor, again no welcome screen (were
i can choose either organizer or video editor) just like the photoshop....
so in the end I am able to click on the executable options for both
photoshop 13 and premiere and it takes me straight to the editor but
without the welcome screen...
Clicking on the shortcut icons on my desk top still won't launch though....
So does this mean it's working because clicking on the executable options
takes me straight to the editor? Or is something still not right because
the program won't open/launch when i click on the desktop shortcuts and
welcome screen won't pop up when clicking on executable options?

Every time I open photoshop elements 11, it uninstalls. I have tried reinstalling 3 times, but get same result.

I recommend removing and reinstalling iTunes using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

when i connect my iphone to my laptop and open itunes it shows my iphone has nothing on it(no music, no movies, etc...) then when i try to sync it says iphone is is full and can only put in a selected amount of songs. Take in mind this is my first time to sync with this laptop(HP 15 ENVY) and as well my laptop is just brand new. just got it a week ago. so how do i fix this prob. and also when i open my itunes store and then view my account it says error occurred either debug it through Microsoft visual studio or close program. I tired copying all the .dll files to the itunes folder didn't help
I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. I just bought a new IMac. I have photoshop elements installed on my old IMac and would like to move it to the new one. How can i do this?
Unfortunately, adobe doesn't have photoshop elements 6 available for download, as far as i know, so your best bet is to either get an usb dvd drive or use an computer with a dvd drive and copy the contents of the pse 6 dvd to somethiing like
a flash drive and then copy the contents from that drive to your new computer.
Do you still have your older mac and it has a dvd drive?
You can share files between the two using airdrop or an ethernet cable.

I’m using an iMac running Os X Yosemite, Photoshop CS5 Extended, R2880 Epson printer In the Print Settings dialog box, I can’t select Color, Advanced BW or Grayscale unless I select “Printer Manages Color”. The pull down menu is grayed out. Even with “printer manages color” the tif or jpg image comes out in color overlaid with black. (See example - printer1. image on left is close to what it should be). Photoshop has no updates pending. I’ve downloaded the latest Epson driver which was working fine just before the problem occurred
Is your Photoshop CS5 updated to 12.1?
Are you on Yosemite 10.10.1 or Yosemite 10.10.2?
Did you apply the recent Epson software 2.1.9 update?
What type of file is it (file format)? What bit depth and what color space?
