In restrictions on my iPad there is no 17 in apps

Okay so, I used to able to download 17+ games seeing that I am over 17 and so is my account (1990).
I'm unable to download 17+ games anymore, no I don't have low gb, no I didn't set my date on my account lower then 1997.
I have tried soft resetting, change Apple ID's and resetting settings.
Keep in mind this is a school iPad and i'm not sure i'm allowed to reset it seeing it has school profiles, etc.
Please help, I need to download 17+ games for educational apps or just fun apps.
Thanks in regards.

This is the layout just incase.

  • So, I want to gift my old iPad  there are one or two apps that I'd like to pass along as well that are no longer available but function perfectly. Is there a way to pass them on to the new owner?

I'm new to groups. So bear with me. I have a first generation iPad that I want to gift. There is a game on it that is no longer available but continues to work just fine and I'd like to include it with the iPad. Any way to do this?

Thank you JB. I will try to shut down the analytical optimism that runs through my brain and live with this "ain't gonna happen" scenario...someday.
I listen to a NPR classical music station and every year they give away a pod or pad(64G) that has a fine collection of classical music already installed on it. If iTunes is the only way to put music on an iPad how are they able to do this  and still give away an iPad that someone can "make their own"?

  • How can I keep my restrictions on my ipad will still restoring it.  I ask this because you can easily restore the ipad which disables restrictions.  Is there a way to always have restrictions on even in restoring it?

How can I keep restrictions on my ipad.  I know that if you restore the ipad as new then the password and restrictions gets disabled.  Is there a way to constantly keep restrictions on the ipad even with someone restores it as new or restores it in general

If it's restored to a backup, and the restrictions were in place when the backup was made, then they will be kept (they will effectively be copied back on from the backup). Restoring to factory defaults/as new will remove them and all other settings and content from the iPad, and you can't change that behaviour - one reason is that if you forget the restrictions code (and there are fairly regular postings on here from people who have) then the factory default reset then allows you to remove it.

  • How many times can I try for restriction passcode in ipad

    HI
I have forgotten restriction passcode and have already tried 12 times. Now it allows me to attempt after every 1 time. Though I have forgotten my password but I have a finite set of passwords. I am sure I will be able to crack after some 15/20 more times. Now do I stand a chance of my IPAD device permanently disabled after a certain no of times. I am ok with trying after every 1 hour as many times as possible but dont want to enter into a scenario where my device is permanantly locked. I dont have an itunes back up also so restoring from itunes is not there. Can I change the time and go on fooling the system?
    Regards

If you are talking about Parental Control type of restrictions on the iPad, I believe that to be entirely iOS software level. You have 6 attempts before it locks you out for a minute. It then increases the locked-out time after further failed attempts. Since you have two failed attempts, it should let you have four more without consequence, which, if one goes through, all is well, if not, you will be locked out, before you can do a 7th attempt for 1 minute - to start with.If you fail the 7th time, it will increase the time to 5 minutes.

  • Is there a way to push apps to iPads OTA without entering a ID/password?

I work for a public school system that has about 1500 iPads. Currently we have one school with about 600 iPads and students are using them in a 1:1 capacity. Each classroom has a cart with a laptop that controls the iPads through Apple Configurator. Each cart has its own apple id.
We just purchased a Mac Mini Server with the newest server version on it. I set up profile manager and was really excited about the ability to remotely manage restrictions and apps. But then I discover that when trying to use the app that's pushed through PM, you need to enter in the Apple ID and Password from the Apple ID I used to get the push certificate for the server. Does anyone know a workflow that makes it easiest to get Apps pushed through Profile Manager and work on the iPads?
Are there any MDMs out there that can actually push Apps out without every iPad signing into the Apple ID? I just called Apple and the guy didn't know anything that would help me.

  • How do I sync restrictions between multiple iPad 2's running IOS5?

I am a technology coach for an elementary school. We have purchased a number of iPad 2 for student use. I need to set restrictions on each iPad. Is there a way to set restrictions on 1 iPad and then sync those settings to the remaining unites?

Thanks, I've reset it a lot, but nothing changes.  I can get the iPhone and the iPad to talk with each other, I want to have the iMac in the loop.
I got a note on another forum to change the "Send & Receive" setting. I now have 2 Addresses - my cell phone and my email. I'm hoping that will work.  When DH gets home I'll have him test it.

  • Finding my restriction passcode on ipad mini

I have a ipad mini and I don't know my restrictions passcode is so is there a way to figure it what it is without resetting your ipad mini

Not without some third party app that lets you see the contents of the iPad. You can't find it on the iPad itself anywhere.
An app like these two may work. Then you need to know how to find the file in the directory.

Look at the first few discussions in this Google search for more help in finding the code in the file system.

If you are not successful with any of this, you have to restore the device as new - unless you have a backup that does not include the Passcode in which case you can restore from that backup to remove the Passcode.

    You'll have to contact the developer about this. Apple doesn't make this app;

  • My iPad 2 doesn't have the app store I have looked in everything, reset the home screen and the restrictions is off but I still can't find it.

My iPad 2 doesn't have the app store I have looked in everything, reset the home screen and the restrictions is off but I still can't find it.

If you got the iPad from your school, and the Installing Apps restriction is 'off' but greyed out (as you 've said here https://discussions.apple.com/message/16137325#16137325) so that the App Store app is hidden, then it's likely that your school has set the restriction - you will need to ask them to remove the restriction for you.

My ipad mini is frozen in an app and the home button is stuck.  Pressing the wake/sleep button does not bring up the red slider to turn the ipad off. Is there any other way I can reset the ipad?  Can I remove the battery? and then put it back in?

No the battery is non removable.
Try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

I forgot my restriction number! Is there any possibility to get in the program?

    Hey rashad35,
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, if you have forgotten the restrictions passcode on your device, you’ll need to restore it to factory settings:
Note: If you lose or forget a restriction passcode, you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.
